A Four Seasons technicians came out to inspect my furnace. He was there to determine why the furnace was not starting. I told him that the furnace was cycling through all the steps but was not proceeding past the hot surface igniter lighting up. Upon starting his inspection he began pointing out all of the issues (i.e. it was old, the blower was out of balance) the furnace had prior to diagnosing the reason it did not start. Eventually the technician validated that the gas valve needed to be replaced but stated that the repair would be expensive. When I asked him for a price he quoted me $1,080. When I told him that it seemed excessively expensive and stated that I had replaced prior gas valves for $300-$400 he said that he had no control over the cost. He said that he did not set the prices. I promptly asked him to leave. Since then, I have received quotes to have my gas valve replaced for $350-$400. I have been a customer of Four Seasons for several years, having requested service for both of my properties and having purchased an air conditioner and water heater from them in the past. This unfortunately has been my worst experience with any HVAC company. You hear horror stories of companies taking advantage of consumers but I never thought it would happen with Four Seasons. UPDATE: To top it off the gas valve was not the problem. It turned out that the heater was not turning on due to a loose wire on the gas valve. After replacing a blown fuse that mysteriously failed after Four Seasons’ visit and paying only $85 we now have heat.

"Four Seasons Heating, Air Conditioning & Plumbing" proudly sponsored the "FOUR SEASONS HEATING, AIR CONDITIONING AND PLUMBING BURNDOWN AT SUNDOWN!" at the Speedway in Joliet, IL tonight. We live a few miles from the track but could not sleep because of the extremely loud racket. And it literally boomed and roared until almost midnight. Speaking as a very irritated, sleepless Joliet resident, I can say it was one of the most inconsiderate race events our family has ever had to endure. For some reason, it began at sundown. Therefore, it continued until almost midnight. I have some questions: Why did this event begin at sundown? Why was the event still exploding jet engines until almost midnight? Was this really necessary? Or was it simply a fun way to advertise a race event? This event revealed a total lack of respect for residents. Frankly, I can think of no logical reason to justify punishing all the local residents. This race could have started earlier and wrapped up between 9-10PM. But, apparently, to the sponsors, the joy of some is actually worth the pain of many others. After I posted this review, Four Seasons contacted me with an apology. I explained my concerns. I was assured that the company would consider the noise levels and schedules of events before sponsoring in the future. At the moment, I accept their apology. Although I am still aggravated with the past event, I am hoping that Four Seasons will work to ensure the future events will be better. Time will tell.

Price was good.. Customer service was not too bad but the actual techs did not know what the hell they were doing half the time.... My furnace was flooded from the big rains we had in Chicago this year. So I ended up calling Four Seasons to replace it (Thank you FEMA!). They gave me a pretty good deal on Heating and A/C. They told me it would take 1 day to install and I would be good to go... Well here I am 3 months later and they are still not done with it. I have an older house and enclosed ceilings in my basement. So the job was not easy.. And I was being VERY understanding of that up to a point... But now it is WAY beyond ridiculous how long it has taken them to finish this job... They have sent out 3 different 2-man crews and 2 different supervisor appointments and I have a basement full of wholes in the ceiling that I can not get fixed until they get finished. I have another appointment later this month that will HOPEFULLY get this install finally finished... I do NOT recommend them for any difficult jobs (i.e older homes or enclosed basement ceilings). They send out inexperienced techs to do the actual jobs and have the experienced people on phone duty advising them. And if you do go with them DO NOT PAY them until the job is COMPLETELY done... Otherwise they will continue to give you the run around. That was a big mistake I made.

This company takes advantage of good, loyal customers. I had a leak in my boiler expansion tank. I did not need the problem diagnosed, because I could easily see what the problem was. I asked 4 Seasons to come out to replace the expansion tank - very basic work. I did not have time to do it myself. I had been a good loyal customer and paid them several thousands of dollars for work they completed at my home in the past. Even though their prices were substantially higher than others, the quality of the work was good, so I let it go. When they came out and gave me a price on replacing the expansion tank (after a 5 min. visit), I was nearly floored to find out they wanted $700 for the job. The PART is only $49.00 @ Home Depot! I was willing to pay around $100 for labor and the visit (total $150), but they said THAT was their price. I refused the service. They then charged me $85 for the service call! Unbelievable! They said that "had to stand by their charge because that is their policy once the service man visits". I told them I understood their policy, but MY policy was that once a contractor takes advantage of me, they lose my business for good! I hope they understand... I will never call them out again. Stay away!

I got several estimates for a new AC/Furnace. Four Seasons was competive but the kicker was their 18 year warranty. Their response time has been average and it took a bit to get a final assessment as to what size unit my home actually needed. I was concerned about the warranty as every competitor told me that their warranty was not as it seemed and when I asked, a Four Seasons Account Executive told me they do not have a document detailing the warranty terms (red flag). To confirm the warranty terms I sent the Account Executive this email: "Please confirm again that the warranty covers 100% labor and parts for 18 years. No per trip fee, no service charges, no deductibles, no pro-ration charges etcetera. Zero cash out of pocket for 18 years." Response: "All of that is correct. That is a full warranty on parts and labor. Assuming you get the annual cleanings on the unit everything will be free of charge. No deductible or anything like that." They are coming to my home tomorrow to install and I will update this review next week.

Four Seasons Heating and Air Conditioning was very professional when I recently got a new Ac unit installed. They portrayed excellent customer service and cared about every need that I had. I went to them first for their free estimate and they gave me somewhat of a competitive price. Being the bargainer that I am, I shopped around to find a better quote. I indeed found a better pricing and immediately called Four Seasons. Using their price match guarantee they offered me $500 less than the competitions quote. I accepted. When the company came to install, Mr. Enright was very professional in filling me in on everything that I needed to know in terms of service. The installation ran smoothly and the men were very respectful in my home (which is a big factor). They left the area clean and even offered to buy me lunch! Upon leaving they informed me of how to use the thermostat and the other equipment they installed. I would highly recommend Four Seasons because they truly made me feel that they did what was in my best interest.

Four Seasons Air Conditioning And Heating, Is a good company that has good employees Last Year When I had my Furnace Checked Prior to Winter, The Technician Noticed that my Hot Water Heater was leaking gas. He took the time to explain everything to me. Possibly saving my life I purchased a replacement Hot Water Heater From Four Seasons Heating And Cooling. I recently had Four Seasons Heating And Cooling To Perform The Yearly Clean And Check Of My Central Air Conditioner The Technician Juan was very knowledgeable, Taking the time to explain each step to me in Plain English and that made very comfortable Juan told me that my Central Air Conditioner was Six Years Old. He showed me a metal stamp on the unit that indicated is was manufactured and installed in year 2011 and it should last Twenty Years I have a Lennox Furnace And Central Air Conditioner which I purchased from Four Seasons Heating And Cooling. I recommend Four Seasons Heating And Cooling, I have been using them for Twenty Years Robert Shapiro

: Four Season Heating and Air Conditioning came to my house when my Air Conditioner was making a terrible noise. The Technician came out looked at the unit and came back in and said it would be $1346 to repair. Said the fan was bad, the motor was bad, and the compressor was bad, well Four Season replaced the compressor a year ago and if the technician had bothered to actually open the unit he would have seen the date that was written on the compressor. But they wanted to charge me $497 for the fan you can buy it for $78.99, they wanted to charge $608 for the motor you can buy for $144.99 and $246 for the compressor which was just replaced and you can buy for $89.00? When I told the tech I don’t want the work done he called his manager and tried to get me to speak to his manager the old used car dealer trick. The tech had a story to tell of why I needed all of this work you know it’s going to blow up any minute, Long story Short I went out same day bought the fan for $50.00 and fixed the problem myself

At last!! I finally have AC!! I don’t know about all of you but having to turn my furnace on one day then my ac the next is just driving me crazy! I came home 2 nights ago and my house was 88 degrees. I didn’t have my ac on so I did what anyone would do and flipped the switch at the thermostat. About an hour later I noticed that my ac hadn’t kicked on. my neighbor recommended to call four seasons bc they were open 24 hours and it was already 8pm. Sure enough a technician was at my door within one hour of the phone call (talk about fast service; you would have thought I called jimmy johns). The man was very courteous and had my ac up and running within 15 minutes!! Turns out that all my messing around with the thermostat caused some wires to come loose! I was very thankful that it was nothing major and for my neighbors referral. To top it off, their office called to follow up on my service to make sure that everything was up to their standards. Way to go Four Seasons! I was utterly impressed!

I called Four Seasons when our hot water tank went out. The plumber that came to our home did impeccable work. We could not be more pleased with the service that her provided and we were impressed by what a stickler he was for perfection. We replaced our tank with a tank-less water heater and new bladder (our previous one had filled with water) This was the best decision for the environment especially considering the $1500 rebate offered at tax time. When I saw my first finance bill, there was a discrepancy between what I was told and what I was charged. My Four Seasons plumber serviced our finance application and there was an error. We signed the contract and Four Seasons had us on the hook for the error. What they did instead was remarkable! They corrected the cost!!! I was floored. I cried. I decided to share this with everyone and anyone. Not only was the work wonderful, but it came from a company that cares about people more than profits. I will gladly call them again and again.

The heat wave had been roaring for a couple of weeks, my upstairs had never cooled right, but with the extra heat it just got unbearable. Called in Four Seasons, a tech showed up and found the air conditioning unit working fine, though to much. Turns out my home of 15 years had an AC system installed that was to small. Asked if there was anything else I could do short of just replacing the unit. He got on the phone and said a specialist was coming out. The second guy gave my home a full once over. Identified areas I could fix myself, things that I should have a pro take care of including things that they recommended other companies to handle. Plus went over the rebate options on larger systems if I decided to go that direction. After talking it over with the wife and waited a day I called in and opted to get a larger energy savor system. Same day installation. I have never had service like this before from any other company. Highly recommend them
