"Simply the Best! I was referred to Eric Stravitz through another attorney, and from the very first time I spoke to him about my case, I knew I was in capable, trustworthy hands. Eric was meticulous in his handling of my case—from the written court documents and trial materials to the time and effort he took to prepare me for depositions and courtroom appearances. I felt he examined every possibility, kept me informed, and put me in the driver’s seat when it came to my case. Eric’s advance preparation, terrific organization, and clear thinking enabled him to solicit the best testimony from every witness—getting precisely what we needed to best position the evidence and build my case. He was able to think on his feet and took some calculated risks that allowed us to admit evidence that had been inadmissible in similar cases—a triumph for me and a sign of his great legal abilities. In addition to his incredible knowledge of the law and ease in the courtroom, Eric knows human nature very well which ended up being incredible ammunition for me! He demonstrated a phenomenal ability to “read” people and definitely used every persuasion to maneuver things in my favor. I am a Artistic Director, Dancer and Choreographer for local and international artists. I was referred to Mr. Mesirow by a family member after having a lawyer that seemed to not respond to phone calls and required me to do a lot of leg work myself even in my condition after a head on car collision from someone who fell asleep behind the wheel. I began to think it was standard procedure to make all the phone calls and deal with insurance companies until I met Mr. Mesirow. He and his amazing staff were very personable and efficient. I just gave the insurance companies, medical companies, therapist, bill collectors and etc. his name and he and his staff handled everything. He also had an excellent reputation/ track record with all the high quality professionals that I required being a professional dancer/athlete. I received an amazing settlement this year 2014 and all the bills were handled professionally and my check came two days after he made this settlement in which he spent quite a bit of time making sure it was good for someone with my professional back ground as well as covering the possibilities of the injuries affecting me in the future. I have nothing but praise for these guys! I was struck by a car while riding my bike in D.C. several years ago and was facing large medical, dental, and ambulance bills. Although the driver conceded absolute fault, his insurance company was giving me the run around. I was referred to John by another attorney and member of WABA (Washington Bicycle Association) who was also hit by a car while cycling. As a bike commuter himself, John was sympathetic to my situation and made sure my bike was replaced quickly and my medical needs were fully tended to. He and his partner were always available, quick to reply to emails or phone messages, and good at keeping me informed as things progressed. They were both professional, yet very laid back and easy to talk with. As many others have said, John Mesirow must be the nicest lawyer in Washington; he really does care about his clients and develops great working relationships with them. He even kept tabs on me when I had to move across the country during a major medical illness. Despite many delays on my end, John made sure my case was handled carefully and settled very fairly in the end. I would refer all of my friends and family to Mesirow and Stravitz without hesitation. I went to John Mesirow in 2011 when working with the driver’s insurance company to settle my personal injury case became difficult. It was my first time going through a settlement process in the midst of recovering from knee surgery as a result of the car accident and preparing to move abroad. At our first and only meeting before I left the US, he put me at ease with his sincerity and kindness and won my trust. He was patient and generous with his time, thoroughly explaining the settlement process to me. I knew that he would represent me with integrity and utmost professionalism. Throughout this difficult process, he and Cory were tremendously responsive to any queries I had and always kept me updated on how my case was progressing despite the 11 hours difference, the poor Skype connections and at times, no internet. If you are a cyclist and are involved in an accident, I highly recommend John Mesirow. After my daughter – who is a competitive cyclist – was hit, I found John on the web. I’m sure there are many other good attorneys out there who handle bicycle cases, but I chose to call John because of the extremely positive google reviews, including several from cyclists, and because he rides to work every day, on the street, in Maryland and Washington DC. I can say without reservation that I made the right choice. When we met with John, both my daughter and I were immediately at ease, and left that meeting feeling confident that the claim was in very good hands. I also appreciated having John’s cell number, which he said he gives all of his clients in case they need to speak with him after hours or on the weekend. Most importantly (other than my daughter’s recovery from the collision), the case was resolved favorably. Just ask my daughter.

When the medical bills started rolling in, it was virtually impossible to reach the driver’s insurance company to claim compensation. This was my first time going through a claims/settlement process and John walked me through everything with paramount clarity, transparency, and patience. Although my case wasn’t the most expensive, John and his team were incredibly responsive and attentive to my questions throughout the entire process. John Mesirow would be recommended by me anytime. An attorney well establish and NOT just looking to make the money. I think he gives each case the needed time and attention as expected, and communicates very well or has his associates communicate to you as soon as possibly feasible. To me John doesn’t look to delay your case or have you exposed to long and over drawn mediations nor long court process decisions that are within his control. He expressed concern in my personal injury hit/run case and presented very well and professionally on my behalf. I have recommended others to him in the past and the results were the same.
