On May 26th (2017) I had a small fender bender, nobody was hurt but my car was totaled. The other driver readily admitted fault on the scene and was insured by Traders. My only complaint with Traders was some difficulty in getting a hold of them at times, but otherwise my experience with them was a professional and painless one. My adjuster was Karen Borberg and she was very patient and professional, answering all of my questions and explaining each step of the process. I downloaded the ItsaSnap app to send photos of my car and the damage so that it could be appraised; I was given an estimate for the worth of my car (which was less than the estimated cost of repair) and so I decided to sell it to them. I overnighted my title and power of attorney on June 21st, and I received my payment on June 29th. Overall the process took one month, and I am pleased with how everything went. When I saw the negative reviews on here I was a little wary, but fortunately my experience was not like those reported in said reviews. Big thanks to Traders for all their help!
I contacted roadside assistance at 1230 in the morning. I kept getting music, no representative ever answered. It was cold and my car was not in a safe place. Fast forward, I came back a little before 6am and my car had been impounded. I had to pay for the impound around 9am. I called Traders roadside with no success 3 times. Finally after contacting customer service, I was able to set up a dispatch although I was quoted an hour and half wait it has been close to 3 hours. I am so disappointed. I calmly called to make a complaint and was forwarded several diff time to diff numbers. When I actually reached the right dept. The customer service rep attitude was uncaring and she told me there was nothing Traders will do about the impound fee and took it a step further to state that the service I required was not apart of roadside. Right after she said this the call was disconnected. No she did not attempt to call back. Very very poor service
RECENTLY JUST HAS AN CAR ACCIDENT. THE PERSON HIT ME AND KEPT GOING DOING 50 MPH WITH TWO SMALL CHILDREN IN THE CAR SHE RAN INTO A DEAD. I HAD TO BLOCK HER IN SHE JUMPED OUT STATING SHE IS FROM MEXICO AND DO NOT HAVE A DRIVER LICENSES. SHE ALSO HAD A TODDLER AND INFANT IN THE CAR WHICH WAS STANDING BUT OK. HER INSURANCE IS WITH TRADERS OMG. I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THEM SAYING WE DONT NEED A STATMENT ON THE ACCIDENT SHE AGREE SHE WAS WRONG. BUT WE NEED TO ASK YOU A FEW QUESTIONS. THIS WILL BE RECORED I SAID OK- WHAT IS YOUR SSN?ARE YOU MARRIED?NAME OF YOUR HEALTH INS? I ASK DO YOU ASK THESE QUESTION TO BE YOU INURED WITH OUT A LICENSE BECUSE THIS IS PERSONAL INFORMATION THAT YOU WANT TO RECORD. REALLY THIS COMPANY IS GOING TO BE BIG HEADACHE. ICANN SEE IT NOW THEY DONT WANT TO PAY FOR A RENTAL THEY ARE VERY SLOW ON HANDLING MY DAMAGES. I THINK AN ATTY WILL BET BEST IN HANDLING THIS UNPROFESSIONAL SITUATION.
If I could give a negative 100 I would. I had one of there insurers back in to my motorcycle and my uncles motorcycle and then leave the Seen of the accident. This happened august 13th 2016. It is now September 27th 2016 and we are still dealing with them over the payment. They sent out a second rate agent to look over my motorcycle and wanted to issue payment for less than what it would cost to fix my paint. They will not return calls so from the 3rd day after the accident I have been dealing with the manager not the agent, because he is incompatinent and thanks returning a call a week later is justified. The manager will not speak on the phone only through email and at this point she is just being rude and I am on the verge of calling the insurance commissioner and reporting this company.
RUN RUN RUN away from this company do not even think about it turn around and run. The will over charge you. Then try to cancel your insurance when you fight them to get the money back. They are very evil and rude on the phone when you can get a person. I am very glad they showed me their true colors before something like god forbid I had a wreck etc. LOL this place is a joke. I did only stayed with them for 1 month as they told me if I cancel my insurance before then that they would keep all of my money and refund none of it. I am begging for this month to be up so that I can go with my new insurance company shelter insurance. It is 10/15/15 and can not wait for 11/5/15 when I am done with this company. Once they get their claws into your credit card and into you they dig deep and hard.
An insured of Traders ran a red light and hit me. Very clear admitted fault, and police report clear and specific to others fault. Traders would not do anything for a month, ultimately I had to file a claim with my insurance to fix my vehicle. Quote "if you want your vehicle fixed any time soon you should file a claim with your insurance". The most unprofessional, incompetent, and difficult company to deal with. The individulal handling the claim, a Roy W. has 0 communication skills, 0 customer service skills, and any conversation I had resulted in my blood pressure skyrocketing. He speaks to people in a very condescending mannor. Pray you never come in contact with anyone associated with Traders insurance.
The claims department with Traders Insurance is no where close to professional and no point. If you have to call them, you will have to leave messages to not get any call backs. They call one time and only one time. The best thing is to go up there and talk in person to get some type of result. For a claims department, you need to serve your customers, not ignore them and come up with excuses. Also, they charge fees on top of fees. I would not recommend using them for any of your auto insurance needs. This company is simply a waste of time, money, and effort.
The worst service. A guy who had Traders hit me. Took them forever to get ahold of him and theN had to get a quote for the damage then had to have a claim adjuster come look at it 2x. Then they had to get anot her estimate which they lost. On top of all that the guy who was handling my claim never called me back was out of the office a lot. His supervisor never called me back. I had to deal with 2 more people to get my check. Took 4 months on a regular claim wheN the insured took full responsibility from the first.
It has been almost a month ago that i was rear ended by someone insured under this company. They have done nothing, they tried to push me off on another insurance company and they NEVER answer my calls or return them. You have to go into the office to get anything done and i even decided to file a complaint against this frivolous company with the insurance commissioner of kansas. I would recommend that if they take longer than a week then to do the same and file a complaint.
Worst company ever $2600 in damages to my car and I got a $500 check almost a year later. They will treat you bad and do everything possible to not fix your car. My car is still not fixed and I paid $300 for full coverage and then this company tried to raise my bill.. very bad service. Wish I could give no stars and i should have got a lawyer and went after this company.. they will not answer your calls. This was my company and it was the worst ever
I am a lender in Springfield, MO and needed to receive a copy of a mutual customers insurance. The lady who took my call was very polite and stated that no lien has been placed by the customer which is a very common issue as people forget to do this. She gladly took down our information and added the info accordingly, verified my contact info, and sent the policy right over. Insurance is usually not this easy to work with, much appreciated!
I have had Traders for 3 years and have nothing but good things to say about this company. Customer service is great, and my billing notices are easy to understand. I also love the fact they offered me Roadside Assistance, have had to use that a couple of times and never had any issues. Just moved into my first apartment and will be getting my Renters insurance from Traders as well. Thank you for making it easy for me.
I have USAA someone did a hit and run on my vehicle they are insured by traders it has been 4 weeks of there insurance bs worst part is there are witnesses that seen and reported the incident like this should have been done inside a weeks time. ive been on hold for 3 hours already trying to contact there claims adjuster. This is the worst insurance ever and should be shut down.
Traders Insurance added my 20 yr old daughter, who had her own policy with amother company AND lived in her own place because she once lived with me. They refused to remove her or refund my moneyes when they cancelled me 7 weeks early for not paying for her. There is no savings with them. They find something to jack your bill up with after you sign the contract.
hate them , worse company for auto insurance they all nice and everything but once u get in accident they well start playing games, i got in accident 5months ago and they still havent made any decisions to fix my car or send me a check or anything all they do is send me to voicemail and i have left more then 100 voicemall with no respond.
Traders. Makes stuff up as they go. They will tell you one thing and then switch it up. They just told me my accident will stay on for 5 years and my insurance will not go down now that it has been 3 years. When they told me to call back August of 2017 to have my rates reviewed since my accident falls off then.

Who would want to have this insurance to begin with. The only reason I had to deal with them is because one of their insurers hit my car. Even with that it is a nightmare to work with them. It took weeks to finally get my car fix. I had to travel to their office and speak to them personally.
EDIT: I initially posted a negative review, bc the initial person handling my claim seemed to not care at all, however after speaking with their senior claims manager, my claim was efficiently and swiftly handled. They took care of all of my concerns to a satisfactory degree.
The only way to receive any help was speaking with a supervisor. Although she did a great job at handling my situation it was a headache to get through to anyone and the adjustor who I was assigned to, tish, was very rude and had terrible customer service.
LOW prices for 1st month is tempting, but stay away! In one year my rates went from $49 to $68/mnth and ive asked why, they claim "oh its the new year prices have gone up" that much really??? SCAM ARTISTS cancel them ASAP
Called Customer Service for help resolving an issue with a policy and Andrea made things easy. Traders is great for getting local service from a professional that understands the products and services they provide.
Worst experience in my entire life! I had to file a complaint with the insurance commissioner to get my money back! Do yourself a favor and run away! Be safe not sorry!
Total joke of a insurance company its very hard to get a hold of someone and when you do they are very rude and unhelpful. save the. Your money and go with someone else
Absolutely terrible customer service when calling to verify details about my policy and a cancellation. Save yourself the hassle and switch to Geico.
