Stay away! Customer service needs to be retrained to provide for the customer rather than the business. Sure making money is what Wells Fargo is about, but being able to provide for the customers needs and treating the customer with respect builds a relationship that will be more profitable for both parties. Today, walked into the 28th Street Wells Fargo branch as a happy customer for the past ten years.Tried closing a savings account and they told me they could not do this due to various conditions. In addition, spent 45 minutes wondering why I could not get my money without fees and penalties being accessed. Literally got told that they could write me a check for my money but a fee would apply. I will remind you that this is my own money. I am being charged a fee for trying to withdraw my own money. This, as mentioned in another review, is all while being talked to like a 4th grader. Left as a disgruntled customer. After my horrible experience at the 28th Street Wells Fargo, walked down to the Wells Fargo on Pearl Street and was able to have my request met in less than 10 minutes. Able to close my savings account without any penalties or fees. Walked out with cash in hand! Trying to tack on opprobrious fees that are whimsically applied to a customer is detestable and the service at the 28th Street Wells Fargo needs to be reprimanded and corrected. It is because of this experience that I will never bank at Wells Fargo again.

Can a bank be too customer-focused? My answer: Yes. Sometime in 2012 Wells Fargo decided to give all their employees a perk-over and now they have people opening doors, directing you to obvious locations and making annoying comments like "How did you like my service today?"

Had a very bad experience at this branch, with a manager who was demeaning and treated my wife and I like 4th graders. We have decided to stop banking at Wells Fargo because every two months they seem to change their banking rules and find some way to charge you a fee.

These reviews are ridiculous. I have gone to this wells fargo for 15 years for business and personal banking. They have outstanding customer service and more businesses should learn from them. They are raising standards and it shows . Good job
