We chose Hassler to install our new furnace, because they offered the Carrier modulating furnace at a great price after the PG&E Energy Upgrade California Rebate. This was our first big expense as new homeowners and we were nervous about the process. Hassler did a great job, and we are very happy with our new furnace. Each person from Hassler we interacted with was courteous and professional, from Andrew who talked us through the process and helped us understand various trade-offs, to Keith who took thorough measurements and identified important considerations with our particular home. Manny and Caesar performed the installation, and this was a large and complex job including new boots for the registers. They did fine work, taking care not to damage the original wood in our old house. Manny came back the last day to put the final touches, and we are impressed with the result. Hassler has been a great company to work with.

Last year Hassler Heating replaced the 25 year old forced air furnace and 50+ year old duct system with a complete new furnace and ducting system in our Berkeley home. We received several quotes and Hassler was the" best value", including obtaining for us a large energy grant credit back on the new high-energy efficient system. They did a great job, were professional, timely and responded to all our questions, including abating all of the existing asbestos wrapped ducting under the house. When we had some call back questions and concerns, particularly around the new and fairly complex zoned digital control system and fine tuning the airflows and temperature controls, Hassler came right out and responded quickly with their technicians. We bought a house built in 1948 with a heater that was installed when the house was built. We contracted Hassler to come in an completely overhaul our home, put in a new HVAC unit, remove asbestos, install new ducting, and finish everything off with a brand new Nest! Hassler was professional grade from beginning to end. When you work with Hassler you work with the best. They worked through a number of tricky issues with my install and were there for me every step of the way. They were always available day and night via phone and guided me through the entire process. The end result was amazing and we are loving our comfortable new home! Oh yeah, and I have a nice rebate check coming my way from PG&E due to my new energy efficient home. Thanks Hassler!!!

I have used Hassler Heating for two of my Berkeley homes. We had a complete heating system installed in one home. We met with many different local companies and decided on Hassler because they were the most professional, reasonably priced, and fit us in quickly. The installation crew was very proficient and pleasant. My tenets and I are very happy with the new system. The job went right on schedule and they even came to meet the inspector after the job was finished. I also used them for work on a broken water heater on my other home. The service technician came quickly and was able to diagnose my problem. They came back and replaced the part as soon as possible. I would highly recommend this company for both installation and service.

We received multiple bids before selecting Hassler Heating and Air Conditioning to install our system. We first heard of Hassler through a friend, who had a complete system installed and were very happy with not only the installation quality, but also the cleanliness and courtesy of the installers; very considerate. Our installation was a relatively complex, two-zone installation that required adding an supply duct to the area upstairs, along with properly routing the return supply duct. This was not a small undertaking and Hassler accomplished the work with minimal disruption, showing-up every day, on-time, until the job was complete. I give Hassler Heating and Air Conditioning 5 out of 5 stars for people, performance and price. Nice job!

Five years ago we needed an air conditioner and after we spoke to Mike Hassler, we contracted with them to do the job, because they were very competitively priced and they were located close by. They did a very good job, on time, and we were very satisfied with the results. So, when we needed a new heating system a few months ago, we contacted Hassler again, as well as a few other companies, who were also very competitive and also had good recommendations. We chose Hassler, because we had good experience with them, and they could schedule the work on short notice. We were very happy we did. The job was done well, the results were better than expected,and they fixed a few minor defects as soon as we called them about it.

Our furnace stopped functioning. I visited Hassler office and was immediately greeted and offered help. An appointment was set up for the next day. The technician was prompt and very courteous. He even began to put on covers over his shoes before entering the house. He examined the heater and found a part worn out. An order for replacement was placed. When the part arrived the office called me and set up an appointment for a few days later. Heater fixed. Works fine now. Technician explained how to use the thermostat before leaving. Very exceptional work by competent staff.

Hassler replaced an 80 year old furnace in our 100 year old house. They did an energy audit and then took care of the asbestos ducts, removed an enormous old gas furnace and replaced it with a very efficient 3 zone one. I was very happy with the coordination between the various groups at Hassler and the neat work that Nai and his team did installing the new furnace. For the first time we have a warm kitchen . The rebates that they said might come as the result of the audit and new installation have arrived and I am pleased that I chose Hassler.

Scheduled Hassler for a safety check and cleaning of my old floor furnace. The technician (Mike P.) called before coming over to alert me of his timing, was conscientious about not being messy in the house, and was friendly and knowledgeable. He did discover a slight leak at the shutoff valve, but was able to get the part and fix it the same day. It was refreshing to have a courteous and professional interaction with a home repair specialist--no concerns, no need to follow up, no complaint! I highly recommend!

I was very pleased with the energy audit recently performed by Hassler Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. The workmen arrived on time, and were very thorough in performing their tasks in analyzing the energy usage in my home. They took their time to do a great job, and respectful of using booties when working inside the house. I had contacted them based on a referral from a friend, who recently had her furnace replaced by them, as well as by PGE for home upgrade. I highly recommend them.

My landlord hired these guys to repair my central A/C unit. They showed up on time, and called a half hour ahead to confirm. They figured out the problem, contacted my landlord to get approval for the repair, and had us up and running with nice cold air in about a half hour or so. It turned out to be a faulty capacitor, which they replaced with a part they had on hand in their van. Very pleased with their service on my end as a tenant, and I would highly recommend them.

Super job--Chris from Hassler came out for the initial diagnosis of a defective circuit board and blower motor on our Day & Night furnace. Warranty parts were ordered and Chris returned for the installation and testing, problem fixed. Both visits were at the times promised and the work done was thorough and professional. Everyone at Hassler was courteous and very service oriented. Great company, highly recommended!

I’ve used Hassler Heating and Air Conditioning for the past several years – first to install an AprilAire electronic filter, later to fix my AC when the starting capacitor failed, and later still to provide a routine inspection of my furnace prior to the cooling season. I very much recommend these folks. I had a very peculiar and intermittent problem that I had worked on for a month and tried several parts replacements. They sent out a fellow named Mike and he listened carefully and looked at the system then made one small change without adding a part and it is fixed. He was very considerate, observant and alert! This is about as good as it gets when it comes to fixing furnaces. Mike showed up on time, diagnosed the problem quickly (bad circuit board - the heater kept shuddering on and off), he had a replacement board in his truck, voila the furnace is working good as new. This was the first time I had used Hassler (never had any furnace problems before) and I will definitely use them for any future problems.
