So as with most everyone else here I feel this company is a total ripoff. This insurance was offered through the dealership where I purchased my car. At no time during the process did I speak with an agent. At no time did I sign any papers for said insurance. Also the fact that you can not view your policy online is a joke, The only thing I got the day I supposedly got insurance was a faxed proof of insurance card. So after not receiving any insurance papers I went searching for other insurance. Found insurance that was over $50 cheaper and canceled with Capital. So after I canceled I finally get the coverage info in the mail(over a month Later). A few days later I get a letter stating my insurance had been canceled on the date I requested and that I owed them $66. I called asked why I would owe anything and got some gibberish about short term coverage fee or something. I then told the lady to produce any form that has my signature on it. She was a bit taken back but really no way they can enforce any fees since I never agreed to anything in writing. Maybe I will go after the $190 I had to pay them for the first month. This is by far the worst company of any kind I have ever did or should I say not did business with.

Too many things I could complain about. Some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. No online portal for anything - I am surprised they can even take my credit card for payment. When I called in to cancel my policy, for obvious reasons, I was told that I would need to provide a written and signed FAX. The agent gave me the wrong number so I called back and was given ANOTHER wrong number. I called a third time and was directed to an e-mail inbox. It has been two days and I have received no response what so ever. I will definitely not forget this experience.

CAPITOL INSURANCE IS A TOTAL RIPOFF!!!! I got insurance through them for 1WEEK, found a cheaper insurance company, switched companies & not only did they keep ALL my money they told me I owed them!!! If I could give Capitol 0 stars I would. They absolutely SUCK!!!!!

After getting hit by a red light runner who carried insurance with this company, Capitol denied coverage claiming that they could not contact their customer. Seems like a good choice for people who want to skip on their public responsibility.

60+day response time in dealing with an auto claim. They wanted me to use the app to submit the car damage. I AM NOT INSURED BY THEM, THEIR CLIENT HIT ME. This company is an absolute joke
