I had NJM auto insurance for over 30 years, and their homeowners for approx. 20 years. The only claims I filed in ALL those years were a few minor accidents involving deer and small claim involving stove fire. I did notice their rates going up but still their prices were good and I was very happy with their services. Unfortunately because my 25 year old son (also on our policy) had 7 or 8 points they sent a letter stating that they were dropping us. However if we showed them proof that our son had his own policy they "MIGHT CONSIDER" keeping only my husband and myself as clients. I can understand them not wanting to insure high risk drivers to keep rates down, but is that not how you should treat loyal customers. I shopped around and obtained a policy with the same coverage $400 cheaper.

For the PA auto insurance service, NJM is really awful. They are not only unprofessional but also easily make lots of mistakes. During my application they sent me the wrong documents twice. In the early April I started my PA homeowner insurance application together with my PA auto insurance. The homeowner insurance part was going well. But for the auto policy from that time to today which is April 28, 2017, I called them lots of times and due to their slow work efficiency and the fact that they sent me wrong documents twice I had to go back and forth with them and on April 28, 2017 they told me that the quote I got previously is not the same as that right now. It is more expensive now! OMG, it is your fault that it takes me long time for the application. What a service!

Had NJM for auto for 4 years and never had an accident/claim or no motor vehicle summons. Always paid my insurance yearly and was never late. My problem with NJM was when I was going to renew my insurance this year. They decided to raise my insurance over 400 dollars this year for the exact same coverage. I called to dispute and they stated that (nexlexus) deemed me as a problem . I made mention of my perfect record and they were unwilling to work with me. Oh well their lost was my gain. Got insurance with geico and saved dollars. Plus I going to but a house this year. No homeowners insurance for NJM

I have been a customer for 10 plus years. never had had a problem and then I had an accident on 3/5/2015 in which I was hit on the rear while in a full stop on the shoulder because of snow. Claim examiner lied that it would go into arbitration since there was a dispute and paid other party without notifying me or my consent. They are not willing to do there job when it comes to defending you as an insurer even when its clear that you are not at fault. Beware- DO NOT TRUST NJM when it comes to auto insurance

We have our cars and homeowners through NJM. I was in a very bad accident in 2014 and totaled my brand new Cadillac. NJM was solicitous, communicating with me throughout the steps of the claim and adjudication process. The process was expedient and efficient. Their customer service and best practice policies helped make a terrible event so much less stressful. I have been a policy holder for several years and now have added another auto and home to both my auto and home owners insurances. The customer representative was knowledgeable, informative and the transition was a smooth one. I qualified for 10% off for adding another vehicle and their rates and service as second to none. I am an extremely SATISIFIED costumer. Yes, they are very selective and not everyone qualifies BUT if and when you do THEY TAKE CARE OF YOU!

Had insurance with them for years. They changed things in 2015. I was notified that they raised my premium $260 because my car (that is owned by me and insured by them) was once sold at auction. Used to be the best insurance in the state. Horrible now.
