Could not let me leave any less than a 1 star review. They are absolutely the worst company ever start to finish. Where do I begin ? I feel bad for some of the people that work at this company. When they took over my mortgage from Bank of America(who was 100% better btw) I was not notified by them why,, when, where , how much or anything about my mortgage for months! When I finally did find out they took over the first mortgage on my home I owed more than I accounted for. They messed up the escrow account for the taxes which put me in a bad spot with the town. They had my identification mixed up with a family member who is in bankruptcy with no one there able to rectify their problem they caused. Every month I would be locked out of the useless online account because of their id mix up, which led to hours on the phone every month . Every time I made a payment it was a different amount with no explanation of why. I recently sold my house a couple of months ago and thought I was finally done with them... Nope I was wrong. The attorney and title company is even baffled by this scam company seterus. They sent the attorney the checks back because of their miscommunications to which the title company has been trying to sort out. To this day months after the house had been " paid off" at the closing, this scam company is still trying to play their circus games .

LIKE MANY WOULD GIVE IT NEGATIVE STARS IF I COULD. IF YOU GET AN ANSWER YOU DONT AGREE WITH OR SOMEONE WHO DOES NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING (WHICH IS USUALLY THE CASE) JUST CALL BACK. YOU WILL GET A DIFFERENT ANSWER EVERY TIME. WE FELL BEHIND ON OUR PAYMENTS AND MY WIFE CALLED MULTIPLE TIMES TO TRY AND WORK SOMETHING OUT. SHE WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD NOT WORK WITH US THAT "OUR CHANCE TO SAVE OUR HOUSE WAS GONE". THEY WOULD NOT ACCEPT ANY FORM OF PARTIAL PAYMENT THEY WANTED THE FULL AMOUNT THAT WAS DUE. I CALLED UP ONE TIME AND WAS IMMEDIATELY ASKED WHY I HAD NOT ACCEPTED THE LOAN MODIFICATION THAT WAS OFFERED. THEY NEVER ONCE IN MONTHS OF DEALING WITH MY WIFE MENTIONED IT TO HER. I WAS APPROVED FOR A LOAN MODIFICATION 7 MONTHS AGO AND HAVE YET TO GET ANY PAPERWORK FROM THEM DESPITE CONSTANTLY CALLING THEM AND MAKING PAYMENTS ON TIME. MEANWHILE - THEY HAVE SET A SALE DATE TO FORECLOSE ON MY HOUSE!!!!! AWFUL - NO ONE CARES! THE ONLY HELP I CAN GET FROM ANYONE IS WHEN THEY SEND A MYSTERY EMAIL TO A MYSTERY PERSON THAT IS GOING TO CALL ME BACK AND NEVER DOES. NO ONE WILL EVEN NOTIFY THIER LEGAL TEAM THAT WE HAVE A MODIFICATION AGREEMENT. THEY ARE THIEVES AND NEED TO BE INVESTIGATED!!!! UNETHICAL AND I HAVE NO IDEA HOW THEY ARE GETTING AWAY WITH IT.

I have multiple mortgages and have plenty of experience working with mortgage companies. Seterus is the only one company that is rude, provides inaccurate information, does not disclose fees, does not provide documents upon request, has very uneducated phone representatives and lacks a general understanding on how to service a loan. My loan was sold to Seterus and it has been the worst experience of my life. They sent foreclosure notices to me based from a late fee/payment from a prior lender that did not actually exist. It took them 12 months to figure out their mistake as I was trying to fight off the foreclosure. You will learn to HATE LIFE while being forced to work with them. If you enjoy piece and harmony then you should STAY AWAY from Seterus Inc.

The worst! Have been applying over and over and over and over again for a loan modification for help on payments/lowering the payments since I lost my job for a few months and then got a new job at way less pay. Have reapplied over 18xs in the last 18months and they keep asking for me to resend in the info over and over again. Then they put it into foreclosure just because I am behind 2 payments but still paying the regular payments. Still in limbo with the paperwork and help. My loan was sold to them from Chase. Beware! Nothing but stress and no help. Will probably loose my house thanks to there stupidity and unwillingness to help people who want to keep their home.

Absolute horrible company, worst customer service, bunch of rude people and staff. Try paying extra money to principal and they screw up the whole account by misapplying and then throwing you into a late status even though you paid almost triple the amount due, then try to charge late fees to report you to credit agency. My advice is to always put in writing, do not rely on your phone conversations with them because they do not do what they are supposed to do and get a lawyer to protect yourself. They are on the verge of being sued! Let them continue their crap with me. They will learn when they have a class action lawsuit on their hands.

Until now I had no problem with Seterus. Today I talked to the rudest 2 people I have ever talked to. I talked to someone named Asia who put her rude supervisor on the phone and she grilled & grilled me & was asking me what I do with my money? How dare you ask me what I do with my money! I see why they have 1 1/2 stars. I am sending a complaint to the BBB! Find out if you loan is with Fannie Mae. If so call the corporate office and complain. A rep called me and said they take complaints very seriously and assured me they would contact them. If enough people complain I am sure Fannie Mae will do something.

This company is The Worst Company Ever. If you have business with them, please try to make other arrangements! I called in because my family was a victim of Hurricaine Harvey and the representative was sarcastic and rude, even after I expressed to him that we were Hurricaine Harvey Victims!!! I asked to speak with a Manager who was equally rude and non sympathetic to our suffering! I would not recommend Seterus, Inc to anyone! The CEO and the CEO should immediately address the customer service skills of employees speaking to cusfomers! No love, no heart , no God! Bad Business!☹☹☹

My mortgage loan was recently transferred to Seterus. I called the customer service number to make certain that I had the right mailing address for the payments and to get some answers about the transfer. Their automated phone support was nearly useless, and when I tried to speak with a representative, I was told that was not possible even though I was calling during normal business hours. Basically, they have exceptionally poor customer service and do not provide actual human-to-human communication so it is unlikely you will be able to resolve issues in a thorough, prompt manner.

Seterus LOST my Nov 2015 payment that I sent directly through my bank via ACH. Instead of trying to find said payment.. I was yelled at and hung up on Xmas Eve basically them calling me a liar! Reps had me in tears saying this was my mistake. I went to Chase and they faxed the info to prove I had made this payment. It still has not been credited to our account, a month later. Now we are accumulating late fees and they have pummeled our credit to boot!! I am so disappointed and when I call them weekly, they have still not fixed anything :(

Unreal words can not describe how horrible this company is the customer service is only the tip of the horror of this place. No one knows what is going.. to make matters worse they are down right big business crooks. After following all the steps for a loan modification.. in 24 hrs they of the last phone call we were told all is going on the right direction and then we find out our home was foreclosed.. never missed a payment.. and they deleted totally from the files...how is this company still allowed to keep doing this..unreal

The lowest class of brow beating and lying to customers....Know your rights they cannot foreclose on your loan until you are actually 3 payments delinquent....90 days actually late not just due. They lie, hang up on you, refuse to talk to you, and force you to foreclosure by refusing to take a smaller payment than the full amount they are trying to collect. Very rude unprofessional business practices. Call the number do not enter your info press 0 and get an operator to get to real customer service people.

Absolutly Terrible. They took double my mortgage out of my account, then refused to fix it until we wrote a letter. Once we wrote a letter they wanted us to get our bank to write a different letter to verify that we were not lieing about being charged fees from the overdraft created by Seterus. Once we got our bank to write us a letter for Seretus, they paid us the money they took out but refused to repay the additional fees we were charged.... Seretus has given us the WORST SERVICE on the planet earth.

The service dept. will not give you a payoff on your mortgage while on the phone. You MUST request a payoff to be snail mailed to you in 7-10 business days. Funny, they took my loan in 3 days, but it will take up to 2 weeks to give me payoff for my pending sale. Idiots!! Unpleasant customer service people. When I ask nicely to speak to a supervisor, the representative told me that the supervisor was going to say the same and put me on indefinite hold......... Losers. I will never do business w them again.

this is the worst people i have ever dealt with!!!! i just want to make a payment,it take 20 to 30 minutes every time i make a payment. even when paid in full. they want to know everything about me and then ask if i can make the next payment a head of time. they also try to charge extra for taking the payment no matter how you pay the bill. also if you get one late payment they send people to your home and take pictures of the property with out you knowing it and charge you for it......

Called in to follow up for Loan Modification, spoke to Monique. She was excellent, answered all my questions and informed me of what to expect throughout the process. I hope that my experience will continue to be delightful. I have been a customer for the past 5 years and have had no problems at all with customer service or the online service, and they have worked with me numerous times during some payment issues that I had experienced. Thank you Monique!!!

I am deeply and completely frustrated with this company. This is the down right the worst mortgage company that I have ever encountered . I was attempting to make a modification. They had me like crazy.Sending tax forms and bank accounts several times. It has been seven months and I still have not received a response. In addition to this I have to pay a fee of ten dollars for every payment I make.I DO NOT recommend this mortgage company to anyone.

horrible, horrible,horrible you know when their recording starts off by saying "we are a debt collection co." it cant be good. and it is not good they treat you almost as a criminal with no decency as a customer.. my loan was also sold to these moronic people. i went through a loan mod it took almost a year and after all was said and done my mortgage payment increased!!!! what is the point of loan mods if your monthly payment goes up??

I have always had a reasonable experience with Seterus. I will admit changing my Escrow account has been a bit of a hassle but not from their side. AAA has not sent through the cancellation notice but hopefully we will get it resolved. They are working with me to the best of their ability. Seterus is not the loan holder on most mortgages they only collect the money for the loan holder so make sure they have your loan first.

Horrible customer service. Chase sold my mortgage to this company and it has been an absolute nightmare since day one. I have been charged fees every single month and still cannot get anyone to explain why or what they are related to. If you speak to 10 different representatives, you will be given 10 different answers. They are very rude and not at all knowledgeable about the business. Avoid this company at all costs.

There needs to be a negative star option. Can not stand this corporation. The staff has proven to be incompetent. There have been multiple errors managing my escrow funds which have resulted in huge payment increases. Every request I made to have a new analysis sent is ignored. I never chose to do business with these crooks. They bought my loan. If you have a choice, make it another company.

I can never get a real person on the phone, 4/19/2015 A loan welcome package did arrive as stated, it was post marked on April 15, 2015. No payment slip or payment amount, just a transfer of service notice. It did have the new account number on it. on 4/19/2015 I could log in and create a account. It seems every thing is in order at this time and the payments are correct
