I just used Lion Mortgage to purchase my first home! I submitted an offer on a home at the beginning of April and searched online that evening for rates. Lion Mortgage definitely had the lowest rates I could find, but I was slightly nervous to pay for an appraisal that night (being my first time buying, I didn’t expect this) so I submitted everything but skipped ordering the appraisal. I was promptly called by a Loan Advisor, Bish *****, who answered all of my questions about the application, the appraisal, and the next steps. He was very knowledgeable, sincere and didn’t pressure me to order the appraisal immediately. My offer was accepted the next day and I called Bish and let him know that I was ordering the appraisal. Bish let me know which documents I needed to gather initially and put me in touch with the Loan Processor who was going to be reviewing them. The appraisal was completed in two days, no major issues were found and the appraisal came back about $20,000 higher than my offer. Meanwhile my processor contacted me every couple days to request another document. Being that I have most of them (paystubs, W-2s, tax returns) electronically anyway uploading them was a breeze. After submitting my final document, Lion Mortgage approved the loan and told me that they would be waiting a couple weeks before scheduling the closing (per the contract I had with the sellers). Well, as luck would have it, the seller backed out of the sale 10 days before closing. Everyone at Lion Mortgage seemed genuinely disappointed for me and let me know that they would be there to do it all over again when I was ready to make another offer. At the beginning of June, I found another home that I liked way more than the first. The first contract falling through turned out to be a huge benefit, as the second home had an enormous amount of interest in it. Since I had already gotten so far into the process with Lion Mortgage, I was already “pre-approved” for the loan. I submitted a slightly higher than asking price offer and the sellers agent told us that although there was one offer higher than mine, the sellers accepted my offer since I was pre-approved and ready to close quickly. I did have to have another appraisal done, but Lion Mortgage had that done quickly as well as expedited their due diligence on the property to meet a 15 day closing date. I closed it and was very eager to share my experience with Lion Mortgage. Everyone I dealt with made time for me, returned my calls and made me feel like my home mattered to them. I can’t thank them all enough. I absolutely recommend Lion Mortgage to anyone buying a home or refinancing one. I’ll be looking to refinance when rates dip below my current rate and when that happens, Lion Mortgage will be my only call.

As a first time home buyer, to inquire about mortgage, I called several lenders around Edison, NJ area. Some called back and some gave very vague answers. I left message for Mr. Bish from Lion Mortgage and he call me back within one hour. He discussed with me in great detail and gave answers to all my questions even though I just shopping around. He also gave me final mortgage rate right over the phone and that become the final mortgage rate. Everything was clear from beginning, no hidden fees or anything. From the day I signed the contract until closing, I spoke to Mr. Bish several times during day/night even on weekends. Everything was done on phone and email. He always available or get back to me within hour of leaving voice mail. He also gave me answers related to the house buying other than mortgage. Mr. Bish also recommend me professional house inspection person and I was happy with house inspection. My big surprise was in the end when closing was delayed, Mr. Bish step-in and take the lead to make sure all parties agree on another closing date. I would highly recommend him for any one, he is very professional and client focused. I was very happy with his service.

When I bought my house, I didn’t know anything about mortgages. Someone referred me to Lion Mortgage where I met Bish Mazumdar for the first time. He explained to me the entire process of getting a mortgage in an easy to understand and professional manner in addition to giving me a brief list of necessary documents. He was also very thorough in disclosing all information without having any catches or any hidden charges or information. Bish is really the lion of Lion Mortgage. Throughout my entire refinance project I dealt only with Bish. Once you put in your application he has the entire A to Z at the tip of his fingers or his tongue. Any time you call him and ask a question he has a quick informed answer. I never had a response like "I will check your file and get back to you". All the rules and regulations of the process are ready with him and he follows them to the benefit of the customer. At one time I had got frustrated because of the seemingly unending list of documents that were being requested. However in hindsight I feel that it is the extra scrutiny that the lender puts in. I would suggest to all prospective customers that do due diligence and get ready with all possible documents. Then leave everything to Bish. Your project would be a breeze. One other thing that I was not very happy with the deal is the choice of appraiser. For whatever reason the appraiser severely underappraised the value of my property. I would recommend Bish to try and choose an appraising company who would be fair to his customer. Other than that I would say hats off to Bish. He is the best. Amar

My wife and I finally moved into our first new home. And we have to say it was only possible by Bish and his team at Lion Mortgage. I recently graduated from dental school with a large student loan debt and currently working as an independent contractor. Well, when I approached several lenders, I was turned down almost immediately. One would say my D:E is untouchable and others declined me for not enough time w/ my job as a contractor. My wife and I nearly gave up. Then! My mother-in-law mentioned Bish when she heard him on the radio discussing mortgage rates and lending. I was a first time home buyer. Bish from Lion Mortgage was very much helpful in making me understand the procedures and whereabouts for having a mortgage. Although its better to do the homework ourselves, but with Lion mortgage there was not much of a hassle. Bish was able to close on the home mortgage within around 20-22 days which was quite a challenge, but by closely working with Bish and his company we could get that done. Bish and his team was ready to provide any advise to us during the course of closing. At the time of closing , our file was in perfect order and no other documents were asked from us... As i expected, closings are never smooth and even i had a bit of tough time onto submitting the certified checks due to a communication gap with the actual lending company...this did not alter anything though and we could do the closing on the same day and time. I had a positive experience with my refinance with Bish from Lion Mortgage. As some of you reading this review I heard about Bish through Radio Chai but was very skeptical, spoke to Bish 3-4 times and did some reference checks through reviews here and then finally went ahead. As many other reviews below have said the documentation, communication and availability to answer any questions was outstanding. Lion mortgage is a correspondent Mortgage Lender once you understand what that means and the typical process these types of lenders follow then you will be at ease. I had not worked with this kind of lender before and some of concerns stemmed from that. I checked with many of my friends but when I stumble upon Lion Mortgage, I decided to go ahead with my loan process with Lion Mortgage only. My broker, Mr. Bish is a great person to work with. He is always there to answer any question and even on phone or in person. He worked deligently to get me the best rate possible with his experience in the market and that saved me ton of money. He hooked me up with almost everything including the moving company contact info. The guy can do anything and everything and makes sure that you get your loan approved without any kind of issue. In last few days I have recommended many of my friends to take their business to Lion MTG and in future, I am planning to keep continue doing so.
