We are customers of Midland Mortgage. Our house was hit by a tornado on April 16th, 2011. Our insurance company wrote the check for repairs to us and Midland. It has been over a month since we sent all of the information to Midland that we thought they needed. Since that initial exchange every time we have phoned the company there is something that we missed. Nobody has called to tell us about these issues. Also every time a new piece of information is needed we have been assured that this is the last thing. After the last form we faxed to them, over a week ago, we were told a check would be mailed to us over night. Today we called and were informed that they need a business card from our contractor to send the check. They then told us that this would be the last thing we need to fax. Of course we do not believe this and know we will just be calling next week to hear that we need so send them something else...perhaps a hair sample? We are still living in a crumby apartment across town with our five month old. Our house is still in complete disrepair. We are in danger of having it condemned or looted. Midland Mortgage has dragged their feet and provided horrible, rude customer service from the beginning. You have employees below "thanking God for every client"....I will thank God the day Midland Mortgage goes out of business for it is a despicable company.

Midland Mortgage imho is the BEST mortgage company out there. They are honest and work with you on any issues you may have! Easy to talk to. But, as with any mortgage company, you have to know what belongs to you, and your rights. i,e. with my obama incentive program, when i was closing on my home days "after" my anniversary date to receive $5000.00. i had to fight and went as far as calling treasury which mm gave me their number to do so. found out, as long as i was still in my home on anniversary date, and close couple days "after" i am still entitled to receive my monies. which i finally did! had some stress and aggravation, from hire ups. but the ppl you speak to regularly are so kind and honest. i was told many times yes your entitled, but hire ups said no. i threatened with lawsuit which is my right to do and even reported them to cbd which helps with financial instituitions regarding ur monies. although, the "hire ups/top ppl" tried using lingo that hopefully would go over my head, not a chance. thank God for computers, i researched and used it on them as well. and WON!! i got my monies that was owed to me at closing. but only about 3 weeks later, which is okay. bottom line, i got my $5,000.00 that rightfully belongs to me and not them to keep/share amongst themselves. Thank YOU JESUS!!!

After 18 months, I finally had a job. I thought that Midland Mortgage was going to work with me- I own 3/4 of home- they own 1/4 of the place. They repeatedly Lied. I had to send them utility bills- told me that my house is empty because I have been frugal. I have had NO money to throw around. No HEAT this winter, either, but they want to question How Much I spend at the Grocery Store- I get my diabetes medicine and my gas for my car at the same store - Kroger. It is NOT all for food. My Credit Union was willing to refinance the house, but I thought I was getting somewhere with MMM. Nope- got a letter in the mail, they had sent me into foreclosure. My credit score went down so the CU dropped my application. I had to declare bankruptcy to save the family home. I lost the 2 credit cards I had for emergencies (no balances). They keep calling me while I was at work- Yep, lost the job. Worse people I have ever met. The mortgage was at 10%, I never changed when the rate kept dropping. Not like they have not made a good profit out of me. I hope Zeus or the tornadoes give them a kiss from me.

I have had my mortgage loan with midland for over 10 years now. I had a time in my life where I had gotten behind on payment and they worked with me. I was able to get back on track and I have not had any problems since. I hate to see such bad reviews from others on this site. My loan was sold from another company a couple years after I bought my house. To me midland has handle things much better than the old company. I have been able to access most of my information online but when I need to speak with a customer service agent, they are always nice and have shown much respect to me.

I have fired better customer service reps than this company has. My rental property was destroyed in the worse hail storm Texas has on record. My tenants have been in a since April, while Midland Mortgage has played games with the insurance checks. I have contractors that need to be paid, the house is in limbo, and the tenants need a home to live in. All the while Midland Mortgage is failing at their fiduciary responsibility and floating the funds in their bank collecting interest.

House was in EX-HUSBANDS name on a VA loan and was repo ed from him and his wife 3 YEARS AGO! The VA backed the loan and paid it off! Midland mortgage doesnt even own the loan anymore but for some reason for the past 3 MOS, they have reported on my credit of being 30 days behind all 3 mos! Im trying to move on with my life and I built my score up to almost a 700 to be able to buy my own house for me and my children, but this dropped my credit score down to a 563!!! WTF?!?!

Definitely the worst client service I have ever experienced. If you are buying your first home do yourself a favor and work with someone else. Even if you have done this before, be prepared to be spoken to as if you are stupid. Not to mention the wasted time and money in addition to false claims. I am a middle school teacher and have never been spoken to in such a disrespectful manner. The bottom line is, go somewhere else. I wish I could put 0 stars.

As a Real Estate Professional, I need a lender that works as hard as I do. This Mortgage company is not one of them. They would not answer my clients questions, and blew them off like they were nothing. My clients have impeccable credit and this mortgage companies lack of professionalism cost my clients their dream home and me a large commission. Will never use this company again and am spreading the word throughout the real estate industry in Illinois.

Midland helped us keep our home. Our loan was sold to them in 2010 and we came across hard times in 2015. They offered assistance programs and we filled out the application and we were approved pretty quickly. We had good experiences with customer service 95% of the time over the phone. I did have an issue or two but nothing to bad. Lastly the online is great, if you are computer savvy then Midland is excellent.

This company is not very respectful and no way does business for the customer. They dont care about the customer or what they are dealing with and going through. I would never do business with this company ever again. If I got another mortgage and they said it was going through MIDLAND MORTGAGE I would refinance right away. NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

The poorest experience possible. Recently Midland had changed their website so that customers must agree to let them share information or the customer will be unable to do ANYTHING on their site. This includes paying on an account, checking mortgage information, etc. I am so angry I am shaking. I plan to pay by mail until I can change companies.

My loan was sold to them a number of years back. My mortgage was sold to them from Citibank. They are unwilling to refinance outside of the state of OK. Very shady business, if you can call it that. Not impressed by any stretch of the imagination. Never behind (as a matter of fact, I pay extra), never late, yet they are no help at all.

My loan was sold to them and now it is UNABLE to be refinanced, I think this a scam company!! Do not get a loan through this company please! My interest rate is ridiculous and unchangeable. Im getting a lawyer to investigate this. This can not be legal or fair.

I have been with Midland for 8 years. I have no complaints. They helped me out a few years ago, when I got a little behind with my mortgage when the economy was real bad, and they have done right by me through my mortgage loan to date. No complaints here.

I agree with several other raters this scam-shop deserves a zero. The bought my mortgage and communicating with them has always been difficult at best. I think they purposely find ways to make it hard to communicate and pay as a way to "rack-up" fees.

Use Midland as a Last Resort only. Wanted to refinance an existing Midland mortgage. Have 780 Credit score, yet slow responses, clueless reps. Went with Quicken loans - all online and fast.
