Mar Chap

First our debit card was compromised and going to the bank with documents in hand was no help. We were told the money was going to be back in our account that day. Well, that was the 27 of December and today is January 3rd and we finally got the problem resolved to the point where the money was refunded to us. We were told to call the merchants that filed the charges and see if they would refund the money, right! Actually one of them did and the other is providing us with the address and invoice information so we can file charges with the police. Michelle was a huge help and Tom Zellner got the ball rolling in the right direction. I cannot thank you all enough, maybe I can actually sleep tonight. If I had to change anything with the bank I think it would be that the tellers try not to handle things they know nothing about. It pays to go over their heads.

As a former Baylake Bank customer it was great to work with the same customer service and mortgage folks. Teri in Fish Cree walked me through the transition and even got me to upgrade the services I use and to interlink my accounts to make tracking our activities: personal, business and mortgage easier. Thank goodness Leslie in Sturgeon Bay is still handling our mortgage.

Allowing charges from a stolen card number, when the customer identifies pre-authorization is the most screwed up policy I have ever heard of from a financial institution. I will be moving my direct deposits and business to another bank.
