My wife Sandy and I began reaching out to heating and cooling contractors about six months ago after our central air conditioning unit began to fail. In the process we became aware of The New Jersey Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program that offered significant rebates and favorable loan terms for home energy projects that met their criteria. Their website also listed certified and participating contractors that were qualified to do the actual work. We called and met with several of these contractors and chose Mid-State to conduct the project. This decision was made based on the apparent knowledge and professionalism of the representative and the no nonsense approach to informing us about the NJ rebate/loan program and the project in its entirety. The mechanics/workers were courteous and very knowledgeable about the services they were providing. Their work was state-of-the-art and they kept everything clean. In the end Mid-State’s job foreman patiently explained every aspect of our new system and all of it’s workings. The savings on our gas bills has far exceeded our expectations! Bills over the last three months have reflected at least a 75% savings from last year which wasn’t as cold as this year. We keep thinking the gas company must be making an error! Sandy and I would, without reservation recommend Mid-State for any homeowner’s heating and cooling and home performance needs!

Since the installation of my $21,000 system 4 months ago I have had to make 2 service calls for malfunctioning equipment. Both circumstances took time to resolve. The last time I called the technician told me to express my concerns with TRANE even though mid state did not give me another brand to choose from. They did not take responsibility for the equipment they force you to install. Upon completion of the installation I received a check for $14,000 from the state that is supposed to be passed along to mid state. They receive an email when the check is being mailed so they know when to expect it. They called me on a daily basis to check if the check was delivered so they can pick it up. I was even given the personal cell phone number of a women who works in the office to notify her if the check came over the weekend. As soon as it arrived the owner was at my door 7 AM the next morning to pick up his money. And since then my equipment has broken twice with no accountability.

I called Midstate to analyze my house for energy saving options. They recommended the NJ program where we get $5,000 rebate and $10,000 loan..An appointment was setup and the technician showed up on time. Its been one month since the gentleman analyzed the house. Since then, i have been pushing them for an estimate which never comes through. . I sent a message to their office and one Ms.Ronda Ramada came back apologizing and confirmed that the estimate will be sent immediately. Its been another week after i received that email from her but no estimate yet. Absolutely disappointed. Will never use them...Pradeep, Manalapan - NJ

Mid state replaced my entire heating and cooling system at my house back in January 2015. They also replaced my water heater. The crew was very courteous and polite, I could not say that much about their manager Blake?!, but the worker were great people. The office lady Rhonda was fantastic with us. The Owner Bryan is a good men and wants the best for his customer. We did hit a speed bump at the beginning withe the manager, but after a visit from the owner Bryan, it was fixed immediately as his concern was the comfort of his customer. Overall good experience, I do recommend them.

The Mid-State Team not only is quick to respond and understand the importance of addressing home biology, but are also are familiar with Clean Energy Programs that help clients not only save $$$ but help us all breath a little easier. Worst company ever. Unorganized. Receptionists are not able make appointments when needed. They Do not inform you there is a charge for a technician to come to your house until a technician has left. Technicians are not knowledgable in their job. Dirty work. AC replacement failed township inspection and now company is doing everything in their power not to re-do the job. Not a reliable company.
