Our a/c went down. The repair estimate from two separate garages were both about $2,000 to do the job right. CARS would only pay $544 for the repair stating only the defective part (compressor) should be replaced. Both garages said that the system was contaminated and the repair suggested by CARS would not last more than a year. They also stated when it broke again, CARS would not cover the repair a second time. With that said, we decided to just sell the car rather than putting $1500 into it and get a refund for the service contract we purchased from CARS....................next this happens; When buying this warranty, do not believe anything the salesperson tells you or shows you. The warranty cannot be cancelled for a refund, even though in the big print on their contract it says in large print; ALL REQUESTED CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS MUST BE IN WRITING AND WILL BE PROCESSED THROUGH YOUR LIENHOLDER, IF ANY, OR YOUR SELLING DEALER. ANY CANCELLED CONTRACT IS VOID AND WILL NOT BE REINSTATED. This surely makes you think you can cancel this contract but look at the small print under this a few lines down, you only have 20 days to do so!!!!!!!!!!!!; After 20 days from the Effective Date, there is no refund except in the case of a total loss, as determined by the insurance carrier, or repossession by the lienholder, and as long as no claim was made. If eligible, CARS will cancel this Service Contract for a monthly prorated refund, less an administration fee of $50.00. How are you supposed to read all the small print in a service contract?? I have had many service contract with many other reputable insurance companies and was always able to cancel the contract for a pro-rated refund. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!
We are a dealership located in Union NJ and CARS PROTECTION plus is a HORRIBLE warranty company. We will never use them again as they DO NOT PAY, they do not want to cover anything on the vehicle that states would be covered. My suggestion is if you are doing business with them , GET OUT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. One of our cars went to the mechanic and CARS called our mechanic and asked them why a certain thing that was covered on the car broke. Are you kidding me?!? why did it brake!? Instead of fixing the problem that is covered under the warranty they wanted to know why it broke! All they do it take your money for the warranty and DO NOT PAY OR COVER A SINGLE THING. Please take it from a dealership that has been in business for years. They are the worst possible out there. I will make sure I will let all my close dealerships know about their S**t business and how they are only out there to rob you and your customers of money.
We have offered C.A.R.S. Protection Plus in both of our dealerships now for 15+ years. They offer different levels of coverage, with great benefits, at a more than competitive low cost to fit every ones budget. From experience, they are top notch as to ease of use, cost and coverage. Many companies out there want you to price a contract for a vehicle based on make, miles, add this add that - these guys are simple!! Rarely do I ever have to refer to my "rate sheet" to determine a price.. Where as other companies you would have to look up each vehicle on a rate sheet to determine the cost of each vehicle contract (which takes too much time and is a pain!) My service department loves C.A.R.S for how easy their claims process is! I would recommend them to other dealers & individuals - as they are also who I use for coverage on my personal vehicles!
We bought a vehicle in January 2017 and selected a 12 month warranty at the time of the purchase with Cars Protection Plus not knowing anything about them. After reading reviews about them had mixed thoughts on what to expect. We took our first trip with the vehicle on an 11 hour drive and on the way home had some issues which turned out to be transmission failure. After returning home and immediately taking the vehicle to the shop and having it diagnosed the repair shop got in touch with Cars Protection Plus and came to an agreement on repairs and cost I am very pleased and satisfied to say that in my book they covered a very decent portion of the cost on a reconditioned transmission for our vehicle with no hassle and would like to send a thanks for helping making this process go smooth. THEY HAVE ONE SATISFIED CUSTOMER HERE
CARS Protection Plus Insurance is a joke... It is a waste of your money and efforts... I had to replace a Trans Axle on the right side of my car purchased from Amenia Motors in Tennessee (plan advertised with the car ad 3 months or 4,500 miles) and $100.00... They would pay only $38.00 (and even asked if I wanted to file a claim after my mechanic going through all their hurdles giving us their payment information) of the cost (keep in mind there was a $100.00 deductible), leaving me with a $241.00 bill... Had to speak with 4# people before we got to this point... EXTREMELY Time Consuming... For not MUCH of an insurance plan... Seems... They just pay (and look after) themselves, they publish nice looking insurance brochures (in my opinion) to make used car buyers feel good until reality sets in......

NEVER BUY THIS WARRANTY!!!!!!!!!! Worst warranty scam business out there. This place will take your money and throw you under the bus using cheaper and or not adaquet parts or not even abiding by their own policy. I HAD 3 MECHANICS CONFIRM OIL BEING BURNED AND THEY REFUSED TO FIX THE ENGINE UNLESS I PAID ANOTHER $800 TO RIP APART THE ENGINE THAT THEY WOULD NOT REIMBURSE ME EVEN IF THE PROBLEM PROVED TO BE CORRECT. Essentially they wanted me to rip apart my engine and pay out of pocket to do so, just so they could confirm the problem and instead of fixing the engine put a cheaper, worse off engine into my truck. CARS you despicable and will be receiving my extensively detailed, with proof of mechanic visits and problem confirmation, review from the BBB.
We have sold C.A.R.S warranties for over 10 years and out of the many different warranty companies that have popped up over the years they are the best deal we have found. I have noticed some reviews have negative comments but I have no doubt the customer was misinformed as to what they were purchasing and had unrealistic expectations for an extended service contract. They will do EXACTLY what is on the contract and as a dealer it is our job NOT to mislead the customer into thinking this is a "bumper to bumper" warranty as sold with new vehicles. If we take the extra time to explain the contract in detail the customer is typically much happier and knows exactly what to expect. We plan on selling this warranty for years to come. THANK YOU!
My overall experience with cars protection plus has been extremely pleasurable. It gives peace of mind to my customer as well as the dealer knowing that if any issues arise, cars protection plus is there for them with prompt and courteous service. The program is a simple to use program. We pay the 1st pay for the customer and they can then decide to continue the program on their own. My customers appreciate the unlimited mileage plans, 24 hours roadside assistance, quick claim payments and that they have choices of repair facilities. I have done business with Cars Protection Plus for about 3 years now. I run a dealership in Baltimore City and have not received one complaint from a single customer to whom we offer the CarsProtectionPlus powertrain warranty and we have given out over 100 of such warranties as complimentary warranties on the cars we sell. We have had complaints from customers about other warranty companies some of which we have had to stop doing business with. Cars Protection Plus is by far the best we have done business with. I have read reviews were some people say the company is a scam. What I will say to them is "show your proof" and stop bad mouthing a reputable company!

THEY HAVE EXCELLENT COVERAGES AND A VARIETY OF CHOICES THAT ARE ALL EQUALLY AFFORDABLE. THE STAFF IN MURRYSVILLE PA IS EFFICIENT AND PLEASANT TO DEAL WITH. Do not buy this warranty , read everything thoroughly and know that they will try to get out of any claim. Even the top warranty is no good , i wasted $1,200 on this warranty and am very much disgusted with the company. I recommend the warranty to someone when i first got it , and now they are having trouble. I even asked for a refund since they wouldnt help except for to jump thru hoops ny mechanic doesnt do , no refund after 20 days or some garbage . I basically donated $1,200 to c.a.r.s inc and its ceo and owner .
Rediculous. As a shop owner dealing with them for customers who have thier warranty, they are infuriating to work with. Absolutely unrealistic pricing for parts (approving 80 dollars on a bearing that cost me 150 dollars from autozone or napa) and you just get the run around again and again until you give up. Have tried multiple times to get paid for a job I did, they just transfer me to Brian, who, after 4 calls and voicemails, has yet to answer his phone or call back. Avoid these guys.
AS A DEALER CARS PROTECTION PLUS HAS BEEN VERY EASY TO USE. IF I HAVE HAD ANY ISSUES THERE ALWAYS QUICK TO RESPOND WITH ANY ISSUES I HAVE HAD IN A TIMELY MANNER. CARS PROTECTION PLUS IS ALSO A VERY GOOD SELLING TOOL FOR BROWN MOTOR COMPANY TO PROVIDE PROTECTION FOR OUR CUSTOMERS. WE INCLUDE A CARS PROTECTION PLUS WARRANTY WITH EVERY CAR WE SELL WHILE ALOT OF DEALERS IN OUR AREA DONT AND OUR NUMBERS SHOW IT WORKS. BEFORE AND MOST IMPORTANTLY AFTER THE SALE TO PROTECT OUR CUSTOMERS
I have been dealing with C.A.R.S Protection Plus for over four years. I have dealt with all their adjusters and managers. They do a outstanding job, staying on top of a claim. They do a great job locating best parts available to repair the vehicle in a timely fashion. Work had to get customer back on the road. It is not a easy a job to keep people happy when their vehicle is down! Keep up the good work guys.
This extended coverage car insurance is absolutly useless! Do not waste your money. I have had my mechanic and adjuster Dewey talking back and forth for months over an issue with my vehicles transmission. Months later NOTHING has been done to fix my vehicle. I am responsible for tear down of my transmission before they will even approve anything be fixed! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

CARS Protection Plus is one of the best service contracts out there. A lot of service contracts and/or after market warranties can be hard to use and frustrating, usually this is caused by not being familiar with the contract purchased. As a service professional I have found CARS Protection Plus to be easy to deal with, prompt, and courteous.
We have had nothing but great experiences with CARS Protection Plus. The staff is always willing and able to answer any of our questions or concerns. The pricing and packages are the best in the business and all of our claims have been settled and left our customers happy. We are happy to recommend them to any of our customers!
I work for a Dealership that sells these warranties (have done so for over 4 years). Never had any complaints with from customers and never had any issues with customer service. Our field rep contacts us every 4 to 6 weeks to check in on us and is quick to provide us with supplies that we need in order to sell their products.
scam!!!!!! they wouldnt cover my transmission because they said the ecm unit was bad, so i paid over a thousand dollars and fixed it, transmission bad they said the ecm unit made the transmission bad and they wouldnt cover it, so another 4 grand to have the transmission rebuilt i would not refer this company to anyone!!!
