Rider used to be the best, great value and perfect customer service. After I lost my bike in Sandy they were amazing cutting me a check in days and I swore I would never leave them. That was before they informed me my K1300s had been reclassified and my premium would be rising from $400 to $1600 and if I wanted to add another bike it would be another $600. i promptly went looking for insurance and progressive is giving me twice as much coverage for both bikes at $600 per year!! Now the next part of the saga continues, as trying to get a refund is painful, what you may have not read in your policy is the charges for cancelling a policy, looks like they will be screwing me over and trying to keep 80% of the policy even though I cancelled less than 6months in. Its a great shame Rider used to be about the riders, not anymore. I predict unfortunately they will not be around much longer.

I purchased Full Coverage Motorcycle Insurance through Rider. Last Year they Informed me that is was going from $440 to Over $1600 Due to them Re-Classifying the 2010 Aprilia RSV4. The Bike Manufacturing Classification has and will always be the same as it was when it was produced. I have been trying to Reach the President of the Company with No Results. How can a Legit Business not Honor their Insurance Price for an Existing Customer? It should not be legal to Raise someones insurance 400% in one year. I purchased the bike factoring in the insurance price they provided of $440. I now have not been able to ride or sale the bike in years with out taking a huge loss. Please Help Me with this Bad Business.

Sucks. Had no fault accident that totaled my bike and I am STILL waiting for payment 4-weeks later. Numerous emails exchanged - need this document signed notarized, then 2-weeks later (like Kafka?) another document they "forgot" to give me arrives and - of course - that too needs signed and notarized. Had me "wait" because the salvage company did not pick up the damaged bike from the shop. And as instructed, shipped the title to the salvage company. Then (of course) they are "waiting" for the title from the salvage company. If you like frustrating unnecessary delays and double talk I would give this company 5-stars. That is all.

I am only giving one star because apparently you cannot give zero stars. WORST customer service have EVER seen was hung up on by the manager at the NJ branch for giving me false information and withholding my money. Speechless as to how many times there employees as well as the manager themselves continued to give out wrong information so I spend money on the policy for them to turn around and say there "entitled" to 10% of my $380 outrageous....I do not recommend choosing this company to anyone I will be trolling this company as much as I can for the headache and overall rudest service I have ever dealt with!!!

Spoke to a CSR for 55mins attempting to remove on motorcycle and renew the plan. As simple as that is, the CSR did not understand what needed to be done making my plan double the amount of last years plan with one less motorcycle on it. Simply pathetic this whole issue. Worst part is that i was denied multiple times to speak to the manager and was lied to about the motorcycles that were moved around my plan. Thanks to this i will look for a different insurance company to insure 5 different bikes. Way to lose business.

Rider is fantastic! They have great prices, are easy to work with, and are people who know motorcycles. You can pay installments online, over the phone or just walk right into the building, which has some cool bikes in the lobby by the way. I see them at biker rallies all the time and they are always willing to answer any questions I have. Any rep I have talked to has always been friendly. I highly recommend Rider!

I have had Rider Insurance for going on 5 years. I had a claim last year where someone hit my bike on a parking lot. Claims adjuster was fast and explained the whole process. I took my bike to the shop of my choice and had the bike fixed as good as new! Nothing but praise for this company!

I was run off the road by a car doing a panic lane change in Philly. Despite doing a taped interview and filling out a packet that had me drawing pictures, they decided I was at fault . Rider is dead to me. Low prices equals no service. You get what you pay for

Terrible!!!! Get another company or beware!!! Im still waiting on my check after 3.5 months. They never return emails, phone calls, or send correct documents...Rude, nasty staff who are never in the office. I wish my job gave me that much vacation time

I have never had anything but good dealings with Rider. I have never had a claim but I will say their prices are great and I have referred many friends to rider too.

They processed my payment the day before it was due and sent me out a policy cancellation for non-payment the next day. Idiots.
