I would give them a 0 if I could. Their customer service is by far the worst for any company I have ever dealt with. Our loan was sold to them. I sold our house in December and am owed over $2000 for an excess escrow deposit. I have called every 2 weeks and am told it was sent out but when they dig into it (and I ask to speak to everyones manager) they find out it never got sent out and have to cut me a new check. The first 3 calls they could not over night it. The fourth call the pushed it to their manger and said they could overnight it and she would follow up with me to confirm (no follow up call and no check still). When I say THE WORST customer service I mean it. Every phone call is at least 45-60 minutes and I want to rip my eyeballs out. It is to the point where I had to have my attny draft up a 93A demand letter. Go with Freedom mortgage if you want an extreme amount of head aches and be on the phone each time for 45-60 minutes. If not go anywhere else and get a better rate most likely too. I cant even believe Stanley Middleman (CEO) allows his staff to treat his customers like this. If I could provide a negative star rating I would thats how POOR the customer service is here. STAY AWAY from this company if you can. If you loan gets sold refinance somewhere else. Youll save yourself a lot of aggravation.
I am a current freedom mort client i was in the process of refinancing .everything was going well until my apprasial had to be redone due to issues with my basement being a inlaw unit and the underwriter wanted sink removed .so fine i paid a contractor to remove the sink . the apprasair is on his way to my house again as i touch bases with loan sales rep handling my case mathew cooper he tells me your file has been closed sorry you have to reapply all over again i respond and ask why no response the apprasair tells me they will reopen the case once i resubmit ur pictures. so ok fine no worries a weeks go by no response i called them and get the run around transfered to managers voicemails no return calls i finally remailed the sales rep and he acts as if doesnt even know who i am .then when i send him my loan number he responds with your file has been closed so i respond with ok so what do i need to do now he completely ignores never returned my email or called me dont waste your time find someone who values you as a customer i will be refinancing elsewhere they will be losing my bussines.
Thank you Freedom Mortgage in Benicia. Dorothea lee and her team are awesome we came in with little to no cash and credit scores in the 500s. In less then 45days, she helped us improve our credit and close and be in our own house. From end of May, 2017 to closed and deeded on 07/12/2017. Even with credit at 586 she helped us get a 4.375% interest rate on 30year FHA loan..wow, mind blown. We could have closed faster if we didnt get cold feet and delayed the process by a week or so. She was very understanding and promptly answered any and all questions. She would keep repeating to us, i want you guys to be happy. That was so reassuring to us since we are young parents of 2 little kids and have no sort of support system or persons we can turn to for advise. We are very happy with our new home. Like she said this wont be your forever home but this will help you build your families financial future. Thank you so much Dorothea lee, Ron lee and all the team members behind the scenes. God Bless you and we will be sending lots more customers your way soon.
Your company is an absolute disgrace. Disorganized, mis-prioritized, not friendly, and not helpful. This has been the worst COMPANY i have ever had to deal with. So many promises and no answers. 3 phone calls in the last 2 hours all resulying in half hour hold times then disconnection. Being charged late fees every single month, even though i have been on a bi-weekly plan for over the past year. Was told it would be fixed numerous times, yet am still recieving late notices in the mail. Cancelled a refinance because too much personal information was being misappropriated and i no longer felt safe. Recieved a piece of mail today showing my total loan is $3,000 HIGHER!!!! How and why can this be explained. With no reprecussions, just a sad excuse of an empty sorry. Poor customer servie, poor company morals and values, poor business conduction overall. This notice will be posted everywhere possible to alert others of poor business.
Sorry to see where people are having problems. When a mortgage is transferred their is a lag time for everything to catch up. When we refinanced through a Freedom offer I was cautious. The rate seemed too low to be true so I had an attorney make sure there was no "catch" with a variable rate that would hammer us later. It has been 3 payments now into the refi and I still cannot believe HOW EASY IT WAS. Everything was done either online or from my home. For the closing the notary drove 35 miles out of Santa Fe to our home with all the documents. We actually closed at the home over coffee and tea. Skipped a month, (took a cruise with the 1600 bucks), and now with the bi-monthly payments everything runs on auto. I strongly recommend to veterans and retired military to check with Freedom before getting into a mortgage with another competitor. It is easy, painless and fast.
the worst mortgage company ever. i send in my monthly payment between between the 1st and the 15th of the month. And they never cash my check. after the 15th of the month they will add a $50 late fee to my account. and they have my check from the mail weeks ago. they are determine to get the $50 late fee; even, if u send the money on time. this company has to have plenty of money in their checking account, from receiving late fees. I have to take time from my life and go online to see if they cashed my check, that i sent them weeks ago. If this is a public company, I will TEMPORARILY buy their stock. they have plenty of money, because they come to work day after day, just to steal our money
I came into the home buying process casting much doubt with the initial thought of me not getting approved. I am in the middle of a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy. Up until I talked to Erika Eubank with Freedom Mortgage I was turned down by apartments as well as houses for rent. Erika worked diligently as she not only kept me informed of the process but guided me every step of the way. This process did not come over night, it was a 6 month journey. I am proud to say as of March 28th I am a new home owner! Freedom Mortgage helped me make my dreams come true. I entered a 30 year FHA fixed rate loan with a low interest rate. My experience taught me to never give up!
Starting off Jeremy Chapman was very polite and professional and answered any and all questions that we had. His response time was always in a quick manner. If we had to deal with anything again, we would want him to assist us. He went above and beyond his means to make us happy. He deserves BIG kudos and much more!!! Everyone in the process of our refinance was exceptional and very professional and polite anytime we talked to them. I have to give credit to all involved because without them all, it would not have been done. Jeremy Chapman, L?Tanya Jones, Laura Harris. Sue Remvidas helped with the titles and getting them all fixed. the best team ever!!!!
As a loan servicer, they are horrible. I have had my load transferred to them, and they have made so many mistake, not limited to: paying my taxes late ; collecting the incorrect PMI amount ; incorrect values on statements. I have had one statement saying that no Amount is due, and other saying there would be no interest due for a payment (if only I was that lucky) . Their online software is a joke -- as there is minimal information on it. And the reps talk to me like these are common mistakes, and I should not worry, as they will "address" issue. So I am with them for a few months, and still making a calls to to correct these issues.
Andre’ Blalock and Deonte Arnett Freedom Mortgage Corporation Columbia, MD 21046 Dear Andre’ Blalock and Deonte Arnett, I would like to express my appreciation for the great job you did in getting my mortgage approved and all of the additional items that had to be resolved during this process. Although it took a bit longer than we expected, it was well worth it. I appreciate the perseverance of your efforts and I am grateful for the final outcome of my refinance, as it will advance some major goals that I am trying to accomplish. Thank you so much for all of your efforts in getting this done. Sincerely, Randall C. Martin
Working with Freedom mortgage was the best decision we could have made. John Grigos was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. We are first time home buyers so our nerves ran pretty high from day 1. He made sure to keep us calm and reassured us every time we talked. Tammy Stiles helped us put everything together. Unfortunately the lawyer we used worked a littler slower than we would have liked. Tammy made sure to stay on them to keep the deadlines and to stay on us as well. It was only because of her that we were able to close on time. I would recommend John and Tammy to anyone and everyone.
I truly felt like I had a Sister helping out her little sister all the way through this experience. Monique Camire was so helpful to me. There was a time I was just going to say forget it but I called her and she really did take the time to make me feel like I mattered. She had great patenice with me. And than she give me her direct line and said to call for anything. I tried not to, but she was there to walk me through. I truly felt Blessed to get someone like her on the line. There was a gentleman named Deon too that helped me along the way. Thank you Both for everything.
Working with Kim and her team was such a wonderful experience! We had a unique situation where we found ourselves without a loan and only a few weeks before closing. Kim and her team were nothing but professional, kind, and supportive. They really took the time to constantly check in on us to make sure we understood where we were in the process and how it would effect our closing date. Kim and her team certainly were able to pull off our mortgage in a short time frame and were absolutely wonderful to work with. I would HIGHLY recommend!
John Partain was amazing!!!! Other members of the FM team were unable to complete our application for one reason or another. John contacted us after we had given up hope in refinancing our house, as our loan app was brought to a close, in a matter of days he rerouted our app, got approval and within the week were signing closing documents with an even better rate than we thought!! We are a military family and as such have many options for VA Loan financing, we recommend FM and John Partain to everyone seeking a loan! Thank you John!!
Working with Rob made what people normally describe as stressful, into an easy, pleasent, and organized experience. The entire team that Rob works with who we were in contact with were all on the same page throughout the entire process. There was no small writing, and everything that was being done was explained in great detail, and Rob always assured we knew exactly what was going on, when it was happening, and why. Rob made it easy for us to focus on the enjoyment of purchasing our forever home! Highly highly recommend!!
I have used freedom Mortgage company 2 times one to buy my house the 2nd to refinance it.Just recently they called me and sent me a letter about refinancing. I took there offer and refinanced they got me a better rate it went from 4.25 to 3.75. Saving me quite a bit of money over the coarse of the loan. The whole process took less the 30 days i was very impressed with the speed of the transaction and quality of all the people who where involved even the notary was amazing.I would recomend freedom mortgage company to anyone
Our refinance process with Kristin went really well. Her knowledge and experience helped make the process smooth and virtually painless. We started the process on the 4/4/17 and closed on 5/12/17. 38 days from start to finish!! She was super quick to respond to emails and texts and worked hard to get us what we wanted without wasting any time. We have already recommended her to a few friends and will continue to in the future. Now we can move forward with some much needed updates and home repairs. :)
