I understand things can go wrong in life especially when dealing with money, but my experiences with BrightStar have been on the whole a positive experience. Although I do wish they would do something about that long wait time when you call in and can be a little annoying. And although on occasion their Customer Service Policies a tad annoying especially when it means you actually have to go to the branch to take care of the business that you thought you could handle over the phone tends to put one off. Having said all of that I believe that Bright Star is one of the better companies to deal with when it comes to credit unions and I have to give them at least a 4 for their ability to help their customers when they have a problem. Even if you get overdrawn on your account.

I wanted to open business account as they advertised. Came to Hollywood branch, rep seemed uninterested. Said that they do not specialized in business accounts. Why advertise??? We left, next day went to branch manager Carlos he made application and said he needs someones approval and said he called next day. Of course nobody had decency to call. We call customer service centralized system waited 30 min on the phone and rep on phone said that we were not approved without any explanation. We never and and i mean never had bounced checks or inf funds in history. Unbelievable. Manager could have had some decency and work ethics to call Disgusting do not work with this kind of bank Your many are safer someplace else.

I have been coming to Bright Star Credit Union in Hollywood, Florida for over two years now and I am always impressed with the level of customer service and care. Charlie the security guard is prompt to open the door and greet you with a friendly hello and all the young ladies behind the counter are more than able to assist in any way possible. The tellers are knowledgeable, kind and patient. You cannot ask for any more. I would encourage anyone to go to this credit union, you will not be disappointed.

Been a member for 17 years, recently very disappointed with BSCU. I deposited in a very large check from a major corporation. They insisted on a 7 day hold and would not budge. Come on, we know that checks are not mailed across the country any more. No exceptions would be made. Looking for a bank with better attitude.

I called 4 times today trying to obtain account balance, simple request. No one answered the phone ever! Listened to recording over and over and over and over. I think I will move to Bank of America. I would not give them one star. minus 5 because picking up the phone is part of a business day.

I think I was profiled. To open a checking account, the young man on hwood blvd ran my credit and since it was not up to there standards, I was denied. I have a number accts. and never had my credit run. So this info goes in the Hillcrest newspaper I write next month.

A few of the tellers are BEYOND rude. Today the "systems were down". The tellers were short with a few of the customers (not me personally, but I heard it. Also, they have inappropriate conversations with each other while customers are present.
