Not recommended. NYCM premiums are increasing 6.2% to 10% every year, even when dwelling value is increased only by 1.43%. Every year it is like a déjà vu, I need to call and argue. My home value is already overpriced by insurance company just to keep premium high. (Home value should not include land) Also the “Personal Property” (furniture, TV, Radio, Clothing, itd) are kept artificially high, 70% of dwelling value. Never hear from anyone that they own $200,000 in personal property in house valued $286,000. I think, it is outrageous practice, not ethical and mathematically the increases in premium versa increase in value makes no sense. Zygi

Horrible is an understatement. These guys do not pay out. I crashed my 2016 Ram Cummins and they refuse to return the truck to the condition it was in before the accident. The adjuster was rude and the mechanics that are working on my truck are fighting tooth and nail to get simple parts like the oil pan that the adjuster either over looked or didnt feel was needed. NYCM IS BY FAR THE WORSE INSURANCE COMPANY OUT THERE. THEY ARE ONE STEP ABOVE A SCAM...

Horrible company. They recorded a windshield crack as a moving violation so they could raise my rates. They are still refusing to pay medical for an accident where their Independent Medical Examiner has documented the injury is real and requires treatment. I switched to Progressive who insured the guy who hit me and my rates keep going down. I pay way less to Progressive on a Ford Mustang than I did to NYCM for a 4 cyl Ford Escape.

Scam company. Beware. Had a small fender bender with one of their clients (who admitted full fault to me as well as the police) and NYCM accepted zero liability without even reviewing the police report (which according to my attorney is illegal). I dealt with an adjuster named Kimberly Larivey. I have never encountered someone in customer service that was so rude and abrupt. Legally dealing with them now.

TERRIBLE! Stay away, horrible customer service. Had an issue after trying to cancel my insurance with them, they created a solution which was less money than they said I owed and then they failed to communicate within the company-- now they are trying to charge me even more money, 2 months later. NYCM is a lot more expensive than the competitors and has poor customer service.

This company should be reported to the BBB on illegal rate hikes, policy adjustments and hidden costs. They are by far the worst insurance company I have dealt with since i started driving 19 years ago. Horrible customer service and just plain thieves. Liberty Mutual welcomed me back with open arms and once again no issues...they are slime balls.

NYCM is a reliable and trustworthy insurance company. I have seen them handle large home insurance claims and minor auto insurance claims. They have always done a great job for me personally and for many of my clients.
