I reserved a campsite with this campground and then had to cancel my reservation the day before we were to leave but, the management charged me the full price of the 3 day stay the day before I canceled even though they had said that I would pay only a $40 reservation fee and then pay the remaining balance once I checked in. Then, when I tried to contact them about this issue I was never called back. I left them 4 different phone messages, of which 3 were very polite, and sent them an email about it. However, I have yet to be contacted or refunded. I would recommend that you avoid this campground based on what my experience shows about the character of the management staff.

The campground hosts clearly do not want to be there. Every interaction seemed like we should never have bothered them. Campground is clean, and well kept despite hosts grumpiness. Spots are very small. I mean SMALL. In addition to the micyro sized spaces, some are extremely unlevel. When you make your reservation, make SURE your RV, or trailer, will fit, AND can be made level. Beautiful views in almost all sites.

Took my family of seven to stay here for a full week. I was hestitant at first based upon some of the critical reviews. Overall my family has a great time and a great campground. While we did have a hard time fitting the popup and van into our spot, the rest of our experience was amazing! Lots of trees, some wildlife, clean restrooms and a helpful & friendly staff. We stayed late July, 2011.

Loved our stay there. We did get one of the nicer sites which had way more room than we needed and plenty of room for our huge tent. Woke up a couple mornings with deer walking right by the tent eating grass. We also loved that access to RMNP was right there at the campground with only a short hike over to Sprague Lake.

The sights are big enough, though a few are extremely unlevel. Water and electric hookups, an unique playground with a long climbing wall. The camp road is a bit of a goatpath and the staff is OK, but not very happy running a campground. It is on the side of a mountain and the views are pretty.

Ive been camping here for years, great staff, great sites. Considering its on a dead end road is nice. The nearby wind river trail offers a great hiking opportunity. as of last year (2014) they have a small office that sells ice and firewood.

Great campground with bathrooms and showers. But very close to other sites. So can easily hear other campers all night.
