We needed a tent site, and asked for one without electricity. They offered us an upgrade to a raised platform site with electricity for same price. It was wonderful, no gravel to mess with and no wet grass. It had artificial turf on it. Had a gas grill and gas fire pit for us to use. It does have steps to get up to the platform, but it has great views to the Rocky Mountains. Our tent did not fit the tie downs, so we would recommend offering bungee cords of something similar to reach to the tie downs. We had some along and used ours, and it worked great. Bathrooms were nice and clean. Water pressure was fine. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.

I brought my childcare parents and their children, along with four 11 year old girls, the first weekend in June. My family and girls stayed in a kamper kabin, and my goodness they had the best time! Loved the kamper kabin and the location~ we were able to accommodate 20 people to have dinner at our site. The shower facilities were very clean, the front desk ladies were extremely sweet and helpful. My 3 year old son asks every day if we can go back to the cabin to camp! Thank you for a wonderful camping experience.

TERRIBLE PLACE!! LEFT STRANDED!!! Drove 1100 miles with family 6 of us and 2 dogs and they screwed up our reservations and tried to blame me after 4 hours of arguing and calling corprorate they said it was there fault. they offered us to stay in there parking lot inches from the street. the staff was very rude and the campsites are very small the bathrooms were terrible. we ended up at spruce lake 15 min away and there campground was so much nicer and the staff was so much friendlier. BAD KOA BAD!!!

We have been using the Estes Park KOA for many years. We usually go with friends - some have trailers, some pop-ups and we stay in the Kottage. The staff is fabulous - friendly and kind and they go out of their way to serve us and they remember us from year to year. It is a quiet campground at night so everyone sleeps well. The location is perfect - right across the street from the path around Estes Park lake. You can also take the path into downtown Estes. We continue to return EVERY year.

Uncomfortably cramped. Several folks with moderately sized rigs were not allowed to park their vehicles at their campsite. Need a cup of sugar? Reach out your window and tap on your neighbors window. Seriously, this place is cramped. The picnic table was on the back side of the camper, adjacent to the other sites sewage connection. The campground is designed to cram as many people into a small place as possible. Though this is signature KOA practice, this place takes it to the extreme.

The shuttle from the campsite into the town of Estes and then to the RMNP is awesome. The one negative is that we drive a 35 footer and this is the tightest KOA we have ever visited. It is back up only and the alleys are super narrow. Our RV was sticking out quite a bit and was hit by another RV as they were pulling through the alley. We are not sure if we were put in the wrong spot initially or what, but we would choose another location if we were in the 35 footer next time.

We come here just about every year, and we love it. Just as the owner said, this is an *urban* campground, not Mueller State Park. I like its coziness and we always meet a lot of people when we come. Everyone is friendly. My family and I use this campground as a "basecamp" for day excursions to area attractions and hiking. We found the prices to be a better deal than the prices for Estes Park hotels, which are overpriced.

Low cost, clean, friendly, a great place to stay. We come back year after year. 2016 update: Wonderful previous owners sold out and retired. New owner Gerry Query. WiFi service was excellent before but now terrible - unusable. Very slow and keeps dropping connection. Owner and staff know but cannot fix it. They say come back next year, it will be better. We will never stay here again.

On the positive side, this KOA is really close to town and Rocky Mountain National Park and has lovely views of the mountains. The downside of that is the campsites are small and packed close together. There is not enough room in some campsites for vehicles. Cars need to be parked in lots at the end of each row. Bathrooms and other KOA usuals are adequate and typical for a KOA.

The staff was friendly and the bathrooms and wifi were enjoyable. However, the facility is located next to horse stalls so the entire place smells like a barn (and manure). The campsites lack shade, are adjacent to the noisy road, and are made of gravel (not helpful for staking a tent).

We loved our stay here. Amazing view. We found the owner to be extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions on local places to eat and shop. The single bathrooms with a shower are great for privacy, especially when trying to bathe small children. We had a wonderful experience here.

It is small for a KOA, but my family had a great time here on our trip to Colorado. It was a last second thing and it was nice that they had a cabin left. We were able to do laundry and grill on our porch with the grill supplied for each cabin. I would definitely visit again.

Average at best experience. The staff were super and friendly. The place though is like staying in a Walmart parking lot. Tiny cabin right next to the road with heavy traffic for $75. Close to Lake Estes but views of a highway is all. Pick another spot.

Very friendly people. The deluxe tent site had a propane grill (with cooking accessories), propane fire pit and electricity. The astro-turf was lush and soft and kept your feet dry walking barefoot in the morning after a rain. Highly recommended!

I was there a week ago and i miss it already. Stayed in the deluxe cabins. Clean, quiet and a beautiful view. Saw elk next door. Across the street from the lake. Minutes from the Stanley hotel. DONT COME HERE I WANT IT ALL TO MYSELF!!!

The mattresses were so thin, we pulled the mattresses off the bunk beds and added them to our bed. A little more lighting on the way to the bathrooms at night would have been nice too. But very clean and the staff was very hospitable.

I think the staff is absolutely amazing and the cabins very clean. Definitely recommend staying here and we will be back! Make sure to enjoy the Ice cream on the patio, and the pancake breakfast made the day so much better!

The employees were very friendly and kid oriented. The train ride with bubbles was awesome. Oh, and the icecream sundaes and the fantastic pancakes were winners , too. The skies were so pretty, camp sites good.

A great, fun place to stay at! I stayed here for my first time, and I had so much fun! They had several activities, and a playground for kids! The cabins were VERY clean, and they were super fun to stay in!

This may be the worst location we haver stayed at in over a year of traveling KOA locations. Tight roads, Small spots, Close to road especially tent locations. Only a 2 star because of clean restrooms.

We had a large church retreat here. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us!! Cannot say enough good things about them!! The kids loved the train. Good location. Was hard to leave.

The people running the front desk are pretty friendly. I knocked off 1 star because although they have 6 washers, they only had 4 dryers so you end up having to wait forever to dry your laundry.

The cabins and camper area are probably good, but the tent sites feel like you are sleeping in a Wal-Mart parking space. Small, noisy and right of the highway. Friendly and helpful staff though.

My family first went to this KOA about 50 years ago. Every time we go there there are tweaks that make it a better place to stay. We will return again and again. Thank you, Estes Park KOA!

Picturesque, cozy, clean, friendly community vibe, surrounding entertainment and shops, amazing VIEWS, very close to Rocky Mountains National Park. Definitely would return!

The reports of noise are greatly exaggerated. We found this to be a lovely campground. Yes there is a road running by, but it is not an interstate freeway like most KOAs.
ZO

This KOA is not organized well. If you have a large RV, expect a hard time parking. Everything was so tight our RV was hit. Other than that, great accommodations.

What a beautiful spot this park is in. Estes Park is so pretty. Park was a bit cramped but we did fit just. A little on the higher side with prices but worth it.

Very friendly and helpful people. We had a water/electric site, but free dumping was possible. WIFI worked well. Estes park is beautiful, so view was great!

Clean and friendly. But it feels a bit like a parking lot for RVs, because it is kind of crammed. Close to the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park.
