I had 9 support posts installed and the "airtight" basement system. Total cost $18,000. True value - near $3500 - really, have a local guy do the same things. It is not rocket science. Then, if they were really good - it might be worth it to spend a little more to have someone else take care of it, but they are not thorough, or caring. They rushed in and out in a day for the airtight system and a month later, it is already not airtight, they never explained how the system works, they refused to give me an owners manual for the dehumidifier, and then they came out here and lied about the efficiency of the system (He claimed that the humidity in the crawlspace was "low" - when pressed he said "40 to 50%". But I saw his gauge - it read 58.6%... in the winter!!!). I understand there are temperature limitations to when a dehumidifier can work, just say that and make sure the system is airtight, and give me the manual so I can understand how the system should operate. But instead, they blow smoke up you butt and tell you fairy tales. The system is not airtight, the plastic along the walls has fallen down less than a month later. They indicated that they will charge me for a visit to fix their mistake. I am still not sure that the dehumidifier is working properly. I have heard it turn on only once in 3 months. I strongly recommend that you hire the local do-it-yourselfer who you trust. Have him search the CT Basement system web site and copy what they do (Or do it yourself). You will save nearly $6,000 on the airtight system.

Welshmaster - Dec 02 2011 History: had American Dry basements do system 1st time. The basement has been flooded numerous times!!! American Dry basement sucked, provided very poor service installation and follow up (they blamed my gutters). Current: Just had Cisco from CT Basement systems install the triple sump system, we have a finished floor in basement, Cisco & his crew decided against using the big jack hammer to dig out the area for sump pumps as it would have caused damage to the finished floor, instead they used a smaller tool which took them much longer to complete the job. A very good choice! The whole system looks custom fitted (NO damage to my floor). I can’t wait to show of the system to visitors that come to my house (didn’t want to do this with the prior system). In the prior system, I had personally installed an alarm that was connected to my home security system (Because I couldn’t trust or rely on prior system), Cisco and his crew came up with a solution that would accommodate this extra alarm within their system (to give me extra piece of mind). So far the CT basement experience has been EXCELLENT. I am not naïve, the real test will come in the spring with the heavy rains (Dec 2011 right now) if this triple system fails then I will update this comments. I suspect based on my experience so far that you won’t be hearing from me again!

We had CTBS come in and jack up the concrete floor in our 10,000 square foot manufacturing facility. A section approx. 20x25 had sunk a couple of inches. A section was beginning to crack. They came quickly, reviewed the situation, forwarded a quotation in a day or so, I agreed to the work, they scheduled the work, did the work in a very quick and professional manner. It has been about 1.5 years and the floor is absolutely perfect. We drive fork trucks weighing 10,000 pounds over the area every day. I was, and still am amazed at how well it worked and how painless it was. A+ in my book.

Connecticut Basement was very accommodating about squeezing our project into an opening they received in their schedule. They arrived on site with a full complement of tools and equipment to not only address their full scope of work, but also with some additional equipment that we needed to utilize to address an unforeseen scope change. Chris the foreman was knowledgeable and patient trying to work through the best solution to our unforeseen problems and was able complete the entire project in a timely manner. Basement systems has been my "go to" since I bought my house in 1997. There was an existing system which they maintained. When we added an addition, they expanded the system. During Irene we only lost power for 3 hours, so no problem w our sump pumps, but in the October snow we were out a day and a half and had a flood. I now have a generator! When pumps fail, as all mechanical devices will eventually, they are right on top of it to replace pumps. I now recommend the 5 year warranty. Good job Chris and Bruce!!!!!

I picked them because of their reviews. However they came and quoted me a price to steal rail system. When crew got there they told I needed plumber to come move main water line to have rail system installed or I could go with carbon armor instead. Even though steal rail system is what I wanted because wall would be able to be moved back in place. However with carbon armor wall would stay as is. Is was no where in proposal that water lines had to be moved or I had to pay to have plumber to it.

Kryz Wilk and his team were very professional and performed an outstanding job with the installation of my basement system. They ensured that my basement contents were protected from the dust and they cleaned up the area after the job was completed. He also informed me that if I had any issues that basement systems will take care of it. I do not anticipate any problems and feel much more protected with my new system installed. Great Job!

Allan the foreman and his team were very professional, efficient, performed all the task required and finished the job in one day. I was inpressed, they started working in the am and did not stop until job was completed, they did a thorough job of clean up and explained in detail what the job entailed as we went through the process. we would recommend this company based on this team of workers.

Dan Oestreich did an EXCELLENT job when he was here today to assess the reason why we had water on the basement floor after 3+ years of a dry basement. He quickly pointed out the issue and provided a solution. Obviously, the water was due to the 3+ inches of rain last night in such a brief period. We are very pleased with th excellent service provided by Dan and Connecticut Basement Systems.

OK - sat around all afternoon today (Saturday) waiting for the service person to arrive between 1:00 and 5:00 p.m. to fix the sump pump pipe which was installed by this company. The pipe is leaking and dripping onto some electrical wiring. No service person showed up and, of course, there is no one at the office to answer the phone. This is so unprofessional and unacceptable.

Connecticut Basement Systems just finished installing our new encapsulation system in our crawlspace. Luis Velez was the foreman and he was extremely professional and courteous. He came early and was willing to wait to start the job until my husband arrived. Him and his crew member, Delphine, were very polite and extremely tidy. They could not do enough for us. Dan was superb! I had not completed service for two years and he very clearly explained why annual service is a must! He also let me know I could tie my sump pumps into my alarm system.
