I sought out the services of Wettermark Keith to represent me in my disability case. I began my contact with them first via the telephone and from the first contact they made me feel comfortable. Filing a disability claim can be somewhat humiliating however; they made me feel that I was a good person deserving of representation. Wettermark Keith has a staff of very nice people and each one I was in contact with helped me immensely by answering all of my questions and guiding me through the process. They explained to me why they needed honest and detailed information which made divulging personal private health problems easier to handle. No one ever judged me. The representatives seemed to care about me and I appreciated their understanding. Wettermark Keith filed my claim to The Social Security Administration and when it was initially declined they filed an appeal on my behalf. The process took about 18 months until my case went to the judge for consideration. The Attorney who attended the hearing with me was wonderful. He put me at ease and talked to me sincerely and told me that I was a deserving individual and that it was his pleasure to represent me. The best part was that he really meant what he said! When he spoke to the judge on my behalf, he spoke my truth and my feelings. I was lucky that I received a favorable decision and my experience with Wettermark Keith made me a believer in the system that governs disability claims. On Friday, April 21st, Boy Scout Troop 489 hosted a dinner honoring Fayetteville/Lincoln County Emergency Responders. This included representation from Lincoln County Sheriffs Office, Lincoln County EMA, Lincoln County Area Volunteer Fire Departments, and Fayetteville Police. The dinner was intended as a small token of appreciation to the men and women who sacrifice their family time, their blood, their sweat, and their tears to help protect and serve our community, especially in times of crisis. We see them as heroes worthy of honor and praise and want our young men to emulate the values upon which these men and women stand. The feedback I received from my scouts was that, to a man, they all loved being able to do a good thing for the emergency responders and appreciated the opportunity to serve. The scout slogan is "Do a Good Turn Daily” and it was rewarding to see the energy and excitement from our next generation of community leaders. It is our hope that our guests enjoyed themselves as much as we did serving them. The fellowship and interaction makes me believe that the dinner was a rousing success. For that I am thankful. I am also very thankful to Wettermark Keith who helped sponsor this event. Without them we could not have hoped to make this happen!

Of course I was involved in an accident with a dump truck. After much thought I contacted wetermark & Keith. In the first year or so I felt totally neglected. Then somehow Mr. Lewis got assigned my case. The case was not obvious that the truck was at fault even though he turned right from left turn lane and ran over me. Small town cops wrote it up as my fault "following too close". Once Mr. Lewis got the case, things started moving and first thing you know we were scheduled for arbitration. Mr. Lewis was honest and kind and followed thru with actions. We did reach a settlement that I am happy with! Mr. Lewis and his assistant were terrific! But i must also say if a settlement had not been reached I would have been very happy with the effort put forth.
