Well I can HONESTLY say this school is a big WASTE OF TIME on the welding program. Their is literally 2 teachers who TRULY care about you. Others will pretty much tell you how its done and thats about it. There has been countless of times where we have ran out of material, all of saws, torches, etc is ALWAYS BROKE. They never bother to fix it. Hand beveling all your pipe takes forever and your only there for 6 hours a day. To top it off you dont even get certified in any of your welding. YOU pretty much get a piece of paper saying YOU BEEN PRACTICING FOR 8months and and nothing else. This school has had a hard time placing welders into the field, most likely becuase their program sucks. Not to mention if you miss a payment they will hold your DIPLOMA from you, which is complete bull considering the fact youve invested all your time and money. THIS IS JUST A BUSINESS TRYING TO MAKE MONEY. THIS SCHOOL HAS SUCH A BAD REPUTATION. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. LOOK INTO OTHER WELDING PROGRAMS.
What a really big let down, i was so naive and expected everything out of their advertisment and represenative that came to my welding class in High school. So i get to the school from california and sure its a nice buliding but a lot of there stuff is old, my welding teacher all day sat on his ass never showed us any demo and would cuss us out lol, when i asked if were going over basic blue print they told me only a week like really im paying all that money for book we only go through once, there a lot of staff romancing holding each other in the hall way like high schoolers. Not to mention the biggest blow which was were gonna have to buy our own material if we run out of the small supply there giving when its was included in the first place. What a joke, was really optimistic about it at first now im glad im dropping out . Dont have to get cooned
READ BEFORE COMING HERE. THIS SCHOOL SUCKS ITS A BIG JOKE. THIS SCHOOL IS A BIG ASS BUSINESS THAT ONLY CARES ABOUT YOUR MONEY, THEY WILL KICK YOU OUT WHEN YOU OWE MOST OF THE MONEY. THE INSTRUCTORS ARE OLD AND TIRED. NOT THEIR FAULT ITS LIFE! BUT THEY SHOULDNT BE WORKING HERE BECAUSE THEY ARE TOO TIRED TO HELP STUDENTS IN THE SHOP. HONESTLY I WISH I HAD NEVER GOT IN DEPT HERE. THIS SCHOOL SUCKS ITS A JOKE!!! I GRADUATE IN AUGUST AND IM STILL ATTENDING CLASS BUT I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU GO ELSEWHERE WITH YOUR MONEY!
Overall a great school! The instructors really know their stuff! The fact that most of them are willing to help you understand something is awesome! Example: I was having a tough time with hydraulics and the instructor I had never got mad or frustrated that I struggled. I enjoyed it here!
I went in with question on the financial side of things at the school and every question I had or doubt Rae had an answer for everything. She was really helpful and insightful. I wish more people took the time to go over things as important as financial questions as Rae did.
I "graduated" in 2006. The transition from DADC to Lincoln Tech left our class without a cogent curriculum. We paid for course text that we never utilized, our hands on experience was nearly non-existent. A terrible disappointment.
personally know several young people working hard and developing the skills necessary to get a good job. The career services people go way above and beyond the call of duty to find jobs for graduates
I was looking into the school, but after reading all the bad reviews, I will definitely be avoiding now. Thank you to those who wrote a review and I am very sorry for everyone that go ripped off
Terrible school to go to. Just finished up the two year diesel program, didnt learn anything useful, financial aid here is a joke. Do yourself a favor and attend school anywhere else
This school has a little work to do to be a better school, but they have some great and knowledgeable teachers, Mrs. Kat, Mr. Smith and Mr. Gatto are amazing instructors.
I was gonna go here for diesel but after seeing these reviews I rather go to Pickens and pay less than half the price and actually learn something
Great school, you get out of it what you put into it! I know several grads that are enjoying the benefits of picking great careers.
