Based on all the glowing reviews published by Google, I decided to go with Nytech (local company) over the original A/C installer. My first concern was that they charge an $80 diagnostic fee, and it is not applied to any work you have done by them. Seeing as everyone glowed about how cheep they were, I set up the appointment (they were not available for 2 days, so I had to live without A/C in the heat of July) and waited for them. My second issue was that on the day of the appointment, they almost an hour late, and did not even bother calling until 40 minutes after they were supposed to be there. I had made plans around their appointment, and I would expect for $80 I would at least have the courtesy of a phone call. Finally, they identified that the problem was the fan motor and capacitor of the unit. The good news is that the parts were still under warranty. The bad news is that it was going to take a week to get the parts, and they charged an additional $325 to install them (which took about an hour). Pros: Diagnosed the problem correctly and appear to have fixed everything. Friendly service. Cons: Not my opinion of a great deal, did not have common parts on hand leading to delays in getting everything installed. If time and money are part of your decision process, you may want to consider a larger company. Follow up: Nytech apparently read the review and sent me a letter of apology including an explanation of why it took a week to get the parts, and credited me back my diagnostic fee since their technician was late. I have to give them credit for trying to make the situation right on their own.
Nytech is a fantastic organization. The technicians are highly trained, know exactly what they are doing and will NOT try to sell you into something you do not need. We are so glad that we chose them to do work for us. This is actually the second time around and we will never go to anyone else for our HVAC repairs. They also have a great program for services ask them about it and of course we joined that too because we want to know when we have an HVAC issue we can call a company we trust. Mike was our technician again and he is a fantastic guy. He is friendly, honest, intelligent and we just really enjoy having him over because we know that when he works on something we will not have to call them back out. He does his work right the first time and he does it well. Geneva is a sweetheart. She is probably one of the nicest people I have ever talked to on the phone and always answers our questions without hesitation. Shane (sp??) is another tech at Nytech and he is also a great guy who does fantastic work. I hope that whoever reads this chooses Nytech because I will tell you guys you will NOT be disappointed at all. Great company, great techs, great office employees and on top of the latest HVAC technology.....We absolutely love these guys.
I had Nytech out for a few repairs that went very well so when my old heating system gave out I selected them to replace it. They did a complete replacement of my furnace, humidifier and air cleaner. It was very complex since the old system was actually made up of 2 furnaces that worked as twins. Major duct work had to be torn out and replaced. It was a 3 day job, but they promised heat the first day and stayed until they had the heat back on around 6:30pm. The system they designed and installed is state of the art, looks great and is nearly silent. We noticed we are both sleeping better since it is so quiet. It is too soon to tell if it is as efficient as they claim, but it has the potential to save a lot of propane with the modulating burners, variable speed fan and paired modulating heat pump. The site was extremely muddy as a lot of snow was melting and they were very careful to keep the house clean. The called when they left for our house and arrived exactly when they said they would each day. They explained everything and were extremely polite. This is the best contractor or service experience I have had after more than 35 years of owning homes. August 2017 update: We are still happy with the work and the annual maintenance trips.
First of all, we are consistently pleased with the service provided by Nytech Heating and Cooling in Castle Rock, Colo. They have been instrumental in replacing our two furnaces and our A/C unit as well. Their follow-up service has been excellent and we would like to specifically honor Adam Barney as an exemplary HVAC Expert. Adam responded to our request to investigate a noise associated with our humidifier (which was installed by Nytech when the furnaces were replaced). It is always a pleasure to watch an expert think through a problem and find a solution, which Adam did today. His careful analysis of the issue led to a novel solution through his resourceful approach to the problem. He completely resolved the problem and explained the entire process to us carefully. He was neat, very courteous and exemplified the best that any service industry could offer. He set a very high bar for an HVAC Expert, and it for this reason that we feel confident in continuing to recommend Nytech enthusiastically and without reservation! Mike L. from Nytech came to our home today to install a Nest Thermostat. While he was conducting a thorough inspection of our furnace and wiring for the new thermostat he found a severe crack in the motor of the furnace that could have potentially leaked carbon monoxide into our home. He was honest and fully informed us of options before he proceeded with the work. I am glad he was here and I am thankful that he did conduct such a thorough inspection. The issue with the furnace was severe enough to cause Mike great concern. He was professional, thorough, put the technical terms into easy to understand language and was just an absolute pleasure to have in our home today. I would completely and without hesitation recommend Mike and Nytech to anyone who has Heating and Cooling needs, just a fantastic experience. I do love that they are a Castle Rock company!! We support local businesses whenever possible and service like we received from Mike and Nytech are one of the main reasons why we do support the businesses in our community. Thanks!!
I participate in the yearly service agreement with Nytech and I am SO glad I do. About a month ago, my air conditioning went out over the weekend (naturally) and before the end of the day Mike was here and replaced the capacitor. Today, Benji came out for the system check up and insulated exposed wiring which was desperately needed. Benji made suggestions for improving efficiency and made every effort to keeping the cost down for repair and future use. Colt came out several months ago and checked my CO2 alarms during the check up service - all of my alarms were expired which I replaced with one, more sensitive unit. Nytech cares about your safety, comfort and home. Their responsiveness is beyond any service company I have ever used and I highly recommend them for any of your HVAC needs. Additionally, Dawn, the dispatcher/organizer/phone answerer/customer service rep somehow keeps customers and techs all working together and on time. She is amazing!
Heat went out and needed a HVAC service company asap...went through the reviews online and NYTech heating and Cooling from Castle Rock Co had the highest of the reviews, so we went with them. They sent out a tech by the name of Colt. First off Colt was polite, honest and knew his job very well, he found our problem fast, fixed it and explained to us as to what went wrong. He then went through the whole furnace with all sorts of hi tech digital equipment, adjusting components to make it run more efficient and then completely cleaned our furnace, he explained everything he was doing during testing. I never write reviews, but felt I needed to give this review. I have never had this kind our service any where else. Right there we signed a contract for their maintenance program and pricing was reasonable. I would give them A++++ for service. Thank You Colt you rock as a Tech!
Ricky and Ryan were spectacular. I have had nothing but great service from Nytech, to include Dan, Colt, Mike and now Ricky and Ryan. Every last one of them has been professional, knowledgable, courteous, and they have served our country. I cannot speak highly enough about these gentlemen and also the office. I have not met the folks in the office, primarily Dawn, but they have been helpful, communicative and professional. I searched a long time to find an outfit that I can rely on their word and their work to service our heating and A/C needs and these guys will be with us for a log time. Thanks Nytech, and thanks Dan and Mike for employing great people and continuing their training and knowledge. This country needs more people and more businesses like this one. First Rate!!
I was fortunate to get the "A Team" today in the person of Mike Lidke. This is not to demean any of the other excellent Techs, but Mike is the first I dealt with and formed my overall impression of Nytech. This company feels more like a good friend rather than customer/provider. This annual inspection and maintenance was thorough and professional. There are usually a number of components showing age and wear and these are always pointed out for my decision to replace or not. This is never done as an opportunity to sell more goods, but is an honest, accurate assessment. If these guys recommend it you know it needs to be done - at some time - and they tell you that also. Overall I am always very satisfied with the service and work of anyone from Nytech.
I had a furnace go out in Castle Rock, after hours on a very cold night. The Nytech technician Mike arrived and within an hour we had heat. Another company had come earlier and I was told the only way to fix the furnace was to replace it. I could not afford to replace it at that time. Nytech found several minor problems including some faulty wiring (now the humidifier works too, which had been out for years), dirty ignition and a faulty panel of some kind that needed to be replaced. Anyhow, I would highly recommend them for their honesty, expertise (they really seem to know their stuff) and for their fairness in pricing. When it is time for a new furnace there is no doubt in my mind that this is who I will be calling. Wonderful people and company.
My furnace went out in the winter. First company that came to give me a quote was Patriot something then I got a quote from Nytech. Nytechs price was WAY below Patriot and they were 10x more friendly, helpful, and fair. My technician Robbie was a genuine guy that only gave me options that he really believed in and was frank. The furnace has been working great with no problems to speak of. Robbie came out a couple days ago and did a full inspection(included as part of the furnace install) of my furnace and AC unit (only had my furnace replaced) they cleaned my AC unit and did a full inspection telling me that shape my unit was in. This company really has a customer focused attitude and is not a company trying to shaft you for every penny.
Colt has be servicing our HVAC system for a couple of years now. I am continuously amazed and appreciate in a day where most technicians actively try to push the older furnace out and replace it, Colt does a great job of maintaining our equipment and finding ways to adjust it to maximize efficiency. I understand that these devices are not meant to last forever but for us to squeeze one or two more years out of a 25 year old furnace completely justifies the service contract cost. I really appreciate the honesty and would recommend NyTech to anyone looking for a good company to work with.
I called Nytech last winter when my furnace started short cycling. It was the day before we were expecting temps below zero here in Castle Rock. Mike came out (right on time) and conducted a full analysis of the furnace. As it turned out, it was only the flame sensor--so we were back in business in about 45 minutes. This is a local company with a dedicated "customer service first" mentality. I will now always call Nytech for my HVAC needs. I highly recommend this firm! Today, Colt came out and did the yearly "once over". Everything check out--again, GREAT customer service
