Dishonest business. Energy-Wise Insulation LLC contacted a tenant of mine at a rental property in Salt Lake City and contracted with them to have insulation installed in the attic to bring the home into conformity with the local utility providers, Questar Gas and Rocky Mountain Power, to collect on cash rebates these companies were providing to the person who had the utilities in their name. My name was not on any contract with Energy-Wise Insulation LLC nor were the utilities in my name. Energy-Wise Insulation LLC tried to collect the refund money from the tenants, who had moved out of my property by this time, but were unable to locate them. At this time they contacted me requesting payment for the insulation that was put in the attic of the property. When Energy-Wise Insulation LLC contacted me about payment, this was the first time I had heard there was a service preformed at this specific property. I explained to Energy-Wise Insulation LLC all that is explained above and also told them that at NO time had I authorized this service to be preformed on the property. After many phone calls and emails, Energy-Wise Insulation LLC said they would drop any attempt to collect this debt on May 24th, 2010. I was called on April 11th, 2012 by a local collection agency who informed me that this file had been submitted to collections for payment. I am disputing this charge and am working with the collection agency and an Attorney to resolve this situation. The amount is not large however this is an issues about Good Business practises. I am sure if they are treating me this way they are also doing this to other people who are in the same situation. This is completely unacceptable and very poor business practises and Energy-Wise Insulation LLC should be held accountable for these type of situations. 2011: Energy Wise has no claim. The local collection agency agreed that it was a bogus attempt and they sent me information to stop any future attempt of collection by a scamming company. Was told by several other insulation companies that they have done this and are known for being this type of company.

This company is terrible. I called them about insulating an overhang. They cam back with a bid to do it and to add to the insulation in my attic. When the installers arrived (they were nice and competent, but 1 hour late) they stated that they could absolutely not do the job that had been bid and were not capable of it. I was not surprised, but had over 1 hour of time wasted with the salesmen. They then gave me the classic bait and switch and re estimated my attic. The installer said they take all credit cards, but when I went to pay 4 days later, they do not take Amex which was the reason I asked and I would not have had them do the job had I known. When I spoke to the foreman/parter in the business he did offer to come look at what they did not do to try to make it right. he did not offer any discount or other help. After the incompetence displayed I opted out of spending more of my hard earned time on them and call it a loss.

Because of the age of my house, Corey, the salesperson found that I would be eligible for multiple rebates. I read the other comments about their experience with being told misleading information. I did not feel mislead at all with Corey showing me the full cost of upgrading the insulation of my home and how much the rebates will reduce the cost. You will need to sign an agreement to send rebate checks to Energy Wise. Not a biggie since I am relying on their ability to navigate the paperwork to obtain the rebate for me. I was satisfied with all the questions I had answered. The crew that came out (Steven and Ryan) were right on time, professional and very mindful that I worked from home. They completed the job in the time that was scheduled. I now await the rebate checks in hopes there are no additional issues. If all works out, this will be a very positive experience.

I was way excited to learn about the rebates and opportunity I had as a homeowner to improve my homes energy efficiency. I was able to capitalize on both rebates and have my attic insulation upgraded for very little cost. As the salesperson stated, this is the cheapest and highest impact improvement I could make to my home and experience savings from day one which I did.. I found EnergyWise to be ultra professional and their staff super pleasant. I would absolutely recommend their service to anyone.

Energy-wise insulation was very easy to work with. I live out of state and they insulated my rental property without issue. The work was competed back in September and I just signed over the rebate check to them last week. They prepaid the rebates and completed all necessary paperwork. They are a good company to do business with. I have told my friends out there to use them as well.

Energy Wise has been a very pleasant company to deal with! They have a great office staff and the Inspector was really knowledgeable. My experience with them has been very positive. They were prompt, friendly, and all around professional. The Inspector was quite helpful and answered my questions with ease. I would recommend them to my family and friends in a heartbeat.
