I have been a policy owner with North Star Mutual for 24 years now. Did not have an opportunity to use my benefits until a storm this summer. Adjustor Tom Sloan was quick to see me at my home, logged all the damage and even found some damage on my siding I did not know I had. Four days after he was at my house I had a check in hand for the entire loss less my deductible. When looking for an insurance company, premium is important, but claim service is premier, that is why you buy insurance. Find an agent in your area, North Star Mutual is great.

Hello Im a autoglass vender. I just did a install for a North Star Insured. Im shocked at how low there price acceptance is. 20% below industry standards. Ive been in this trade going on 30 years. And never seen such poor pricing. I called North Star and just got the head in the sand response. If any of you have North Star Ins I wish you the best. And to North Star, you get what you pay for.

Do your research before deciding to get insurance through North Star Mutual. No insurance is as good as having insurance with North Star Mutual. Horrible customer service, they will avoid paying out claim, they are very slow to get back to you. I have nothing good to say about this company. Just look at their ratings on google, yelp, yellow pages, BBB and it tells the story.

I just signed up with these people a few weeks ago and now they are canceling my policy because I have a Siberian Husky. I have never, ever heard of any thing bad about this breed of dog. If I had a Pitbul or a Rot I might not be so upset at this rediculous rule.

This is an outdated company. They mail paper forms and require you to mail them back in. They also require a police report for a less then $500 bike that was stolen. What are the police really going to do about it? Outdated company with dinosaur processes.

I am a police officer. My over thirty years of law enforcement, this is the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with personally and/or professionally. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. Anywhere would be better.

What a lousy P.O.S. company, cant keep their records straight, we got cancelled for no reason. Im going back to State Farm where we had insurance for 25 years, live and learn. Stay far away from Northstar they suck ass big time.

Back in January a deer committed suicide on the front of my car. The amount I received for the claim was more than I expected. The process was quick and easy, and my agent made himself available.

Lost doors off our building and they low balled the payment to us. The quote to replace them was $6400 and they only paid $1200. Avoid them!!!
