I had policy issued with them then a few days after they cashed the insurance check from my mortgage company they cancelled me for a bad roof. I replaced the roof from my pocket. I had the roof inspected by an adjuster and two roofing companies that all told me I didnt need a roof. Their inspector said I needed one. Come to find out they dont insure older homes anymore. Its plain on the application when a home is built so why did they accept the money or application in the first place. Now I am cancelled and they havent repaid the year premium over a month after the cancellation. Called them today and got the check is in the mail in a couple of days talk. We will see. I will never recommend this company.

Like so many people reviewing HOAIC, I got insurance through these guys for a historic home that I just closed on. Fast forward one month to a cancellation notice for the exact same reasons that everyone else here mentioned: a bad roof. It is also of note that they cite my home being an open foundation (i.e. pier and beam) as a problem. According to the inspection I had completed, the home roof has literally no issues. And the fact that it is pier and beam was known at the time they initially insured me. Best just to avoid these guys...

Extremely disappointed in this company. Seriously not good for anything. If you have to make a claim forget it! They will deny deny deny and blame the homeowner for maintenance issues and faulty installation of roof vents and skylight (original to the 15 year old house) how in the heck are we responsible for that?! STAY AWAY FROM THIS INSURANCE COMPANY!!!!! What a nightmare!!!!

Worst insurance company in Texas. They took well over a year to repair a leaking my roof which caused a newly renovated bathroom in my daughters room to grow mold in the walls. They refused through the year about fixing the roof. It took for me to report them to the BBQ and Texas Board of Insurance to get them to repair our home. Stay away from this insurance.

I cannot speak for everyone but a tornado hit our house and we got max payout on both dwelling and contents in less than 2 weeks. Both adjusters that come out were both awesome and seemed like they were there to help us. Rowlett, Tx 12/26/2015

TERRIBLE! We bought our new home and a couple days after we closed we had our AC Units stolen. The next week they sent a letter CANCELLING our coverage. This is the BAD INSURANCE COMPANY YOU HEAR ABOUT IN THE COMMERCIALS!
