I had been a member of Pioneer C.U. for the past 32 years. Interest and loan rates were great and the service was awesome. Ever since the Pioneer/Capital C.U. merger everything has gone downhill. It started with computer issues, my online account info was not updated and I had to call several times to have them manually update it. Just the other day my wife went into a branch to make a transaction and she had been removed from our accounts without our authorization. Not to mention the service has suffered substantially. I have given them plenty of time to get their things together and it seems like nothing has improved. I have finally made a decision to move elsewhere with my banking. The only reason I gave a rating of two stars was due to their interest rates, otherwise it would have been a 1 or 0.

I have been with Pioneer for probably 30 years and thought they were the best until recently when they started charging for checking. You can get a reduced fee, but there are a lot of rules to follow. If you break one of the rules you get an automatic charge to your account. I gave it a try, but got charged the first month so I decided to leave. I was able to find another local institution on my first call that offered free checking with out any strings attached. Pioneer has great service but all of these new fees make them more like a big national bank than the local customer friendly financial institution that they always were. If you want simple free checking Pioneer is not the place for you.

they charge you $10 for checking and $2 for savings each month....and cost you $.50 to take money out of THERE ATM!!!! so no matter where u go, it is $.50....and more depending on if it is one that has a fee, either way, you cant get around a fee since you pay to take money out of there ATM, yes only $.50....but it adds up fast!!!!!
