My parents bought my family a sofa and love seat as a house warming gift. They were told that we would be able to change the color or apply the purchase to a different model. When we walked into the "store" (its basically a huge garage without heat - january in buffalo) we could see our breath. A woman at the front door screamed in our ear letting us know that they would be closing in 10 minutes and to "get moving". I told her that I was just there to choose colors and I would be out in less than 5 mins - she ignored me. Later that night we looked online to see their whole selection. We decided to go with another model that was a little more money. I called the store and spoke with the manager named Joel who told me that the one we wanted wouldnt be in for 2 weeks which was understandable. So we picked out another sectional that was even more money. He said that it would arrive to the store in 2 days and he would have it delivered in 3-4. He then told me that he was going to help us out on the price by knocking off $75. Well the very next morning I got a phone call from a driver who said he would be at our house in a few mins with the the ORIGINAL set my parents had picked out! I called the store and they had no record us picking out a new couch! I asked to speak with Joel he said he was going to take care of it. I was told I had to come back into the store to pay for the extra charges and they do not take CC over the phone! So I took the 45 min trip back out to their freezing cold store (everyone who works there is dressed in full winter gear). Again there was no record of our order in the system! So we had to go and find the couch that we saw online and get the model number. Once the right couch was found he rang us up and gave me my total. This was without the $75 discount Joel had promised. When I asked about it the sales rep got all upset and said theres nothing he could do because Joel wasnt working that day. A manager got involved after the sales rep tried double taxing me and when I asked for an explanation he flipped out and told me that I was wasting his time!!! The manager sreamed at him to take a walk and cool down while she settle the issue for us. Then..... On the delivery day the driver was not only 5 hours late but he called me before he arrived and asked if I would help him move the sectional for a $25 discount on the delivery fee!!! I agreed and about an hour later he pulled into the driveway with my brand new sectional on the back of a pickup truck with a plow attached. I live in Buffalo. The reason I had it delivered is because I didnt want to put brand new furniture on the back of a pickup in snowy weather. Overall the experience was horrible and cannot believe the low level of professionalism and customer service!

A warning to anyone planning on buying products from American Freight on Niagara Falls Blvd. Please stay far way from this horribly run establishment!!!!. I would have given zero stars if i could have. I bought a mattress on Halloween 10/31/2016 at the Niagara Falls location. The Location did not have the mattress and had to order it. The sales person told me it may take up to two weeks for them to receive the mattress in. I contacted the location on Nov, 17th 2016 and was told although it was ordered they had no idea when it might arrive. I guess its just always a "surprise" when the delivery trucks show up. Disappointed by the non-committal answers and the lack of information the employees had about their own business, I inquired about returning the mattress at this point but the Manager offered to wave the delivery fee if I changed my mind. I was told the mattress would be in the next week Tuesday or Wednesday. On Wednesday the 23rd of Nov, I contacted the location again to check on the status of the mattress and was told that it would be in and that I was scheduled to have it delivered at my house on Saturday November 26th. I was also told someone would call me Friday night to set up the delivery time. Never got a call. Called again on Saturday morning and was told at first that they would put me on the board for delivery that day. Then after a moment the employee apologized and told me that the mattress actually never came in and i could either pick out something else or get a refund, I was more than happy to go right down to the location and be the first person in the door to get a refund. Thanks for absolutely nothing.

Bought a table from here that we were told was already put together , get it home and everything is in a million pieces . We don’t live close at all probably 40 mins away . The guys were very rude and told us they couldn’t take the box , which kind it was 10 feet away from where it had to go, so they made my mom drive around where no one was there to meet us so we had to bring it in ourselves. I could hear the guys just standing there making rude comments about us as we brought it in and went to the desk. Then they said we were suppose to call because they can’t put it together and they couldn’t refund my mom her money . Then they told my mom for 20$ they would maybe put it together. But they refused to refund my mom and said they could maybe do a store credit. Finally one nice gentleman, the only nice one there, told us he would put it together for us. The whole time everyone else was sitting on the couches on their phones or trying to sell my mom more stuff ! Rudest place ever no one should ever go here they are horrible, awful , money hungry people with no respect for anyone. If I could give a zero star I would. We will never go back and do business with them ever again! I advice everyone to do the same thing! STAY AWAY!!!

My Wife and I picked out furniture in november, set it up for delivery on jan 1st. We moved into our new place on dec 31st and were excited to have new furniture in our place, jan 1st came and they only had our chair in, we told them we wanted all at once so we would wait till they came in and they told us that they were out of stock and it would be in for delivery on the 14th, two weeks later. on the 14th they called me and said the couches were in but now our chair was not, we asked them what happened to our chair, they said they sold it! So I told them i want it all in one trip because of the delivery charge. They gave us the 21st as the date it would be all in and we could have it. the 21st came around and they called us and said the chair still wasnt in till the 24th but they would deliver the couch, loveseat and ottomon and have the chair there on the 24th. The 24th came and they told me they didnt know when the chair would be in, they had people wait for months and there is nothing they can do. My wife blew up and called the manager, she was at least pleasant to deal with but we are still waiting for the chair, unreal!

I recently purchased a matress set along with a frame and a headboars. Although I am happy with the bed itself the frame and headboard are very unsturdy. I called the store just 5 days after the purchase to ask if i could return it, and was told that all sales are final after 72 hours and that there was not anything they would do for me. I am in the market to furnish my whole apartment and intended on going through them to take advantage of the low prices and quick delivery, but due to customer service and their unwillingness to return an item that I am unsatisfied with I will not be doing future business with them and will spread the word to everyone i know of my experience, and anyone that I dont know but will listen - this company is absolutely the worse company I ever have done business with!!!

Great warehouse deals. Walked in and were instantly greeted . I forgot to learn the name of the rep who helped us, he was really good and accommodating to our requirements. It was a quick mattress purchase and we are happy with our purchase. Highly recommend the store and we will be going back again for our definite future purchases. The delivery of goods happened as promised and the guys were prompt. Although they did not help setup/unpack the mattress(king size); which would have been great considering I was left alone to do it by myself single handedly .

Bad service the person that I try to attend or if I want to be treated decently I ask for a sectional sofa told me that they did not have it available when I asked what options they did not know what to tell us and talking to me he turned around like he did not talk to anyone Had, took 3000 to buy a sectional, a bedroom , but the incompetence of this gentleman made me leave the place I never go back.you guys need to learn to work with the public. Remember the tax season is just a few days not all year long to appreciate your customers.

We recently purchased a king sized bed from this company. On our receipt we were told that the delivery fee was $39. On the date of delivery we received a call stating that the delivery fee had increased from $39 to $55. When I called and stated that they cannot do that, that they must give us the price stated on the receipt they said that there was nothing they can do. They refused to give us the quoted price. They have incredibly poor customer service and could not care less about it.

Bought a sectional and had tge warranty but unfortunately not the lasting as long as we liked....callwd over year later and sent pics....then got a call saying we were fully reimbursed for entire set including tax....caught a great sale able to buy better set and had enough left for a mattress.....they did everything as promised...couldnt be happier....great job to rachel and her staff on a job well done and upholding the integrity of american freight....customer for life...kevin funk

Good furniture. u go there and its a warehouse. get there early enough and theyll put it in their truck and bring it to your house for a fee. its a warehouse full of furniture i dont know why people think a 500 bedroom set is going to be the same quality as a 5000 dollar bed room set. im laying on my couch right now itt was 698 for a very large comfortable sectional which came with a 10 yr warranty. if the pillows go flat theyll fluff them. look around and use good judgement

Went looking for a kitchen table and chairs this past weekend with my boyfriend. When we entered the building My boyfriend was greeted by one of the works within the first 5 steps in the build. I was ignored not a hand shake, smile or hello towards me. Mind you I was standing next to my boyfriend. The same happened as we left no acknowledgement of my presences there. Horrible customer service, will not go back nor recommend anyone to go there.

Looked at several area mattress shops before buying a full size mattress here. More selection, quality mattresses, best prices. Bought a couple couches here 10 years ago, still have them. A prior mattress purchase 10 years ago too. Kevin and Rodger were working at the time we went in, were both very helpful, courteous and friendly. Will be back for future purchases. Highly recommend American Freight.

This place may have what seem like good prices, but all they sell is garbage. Our sofas have not last 60 days without actually breaking. I am seriously considering small claims court. Oh, and dont think the managers will help you in any way, they are pure scum. Their idea of customer service is telling you to go away!
