Mr. Michael Daugherty is a very professional and understanding attorney. He is quick to respond to email inquiries and is accommodating when setting up meetings. He listens carefully to what his clients want and explains everything very well. These qualities, coupled with his knowledge of the court system, gave me confidence that I could face the challenges that come with child custody cases. I was apprehensive to even proceed with trying to obtain sole custody because of how stressful it can be, but he helped ease my concerns at our first meeting. He explained my options clearly and even provided information how I could file certain things myself to save money. Choosing an attorney is difficult because it is a big financial decision, but selecting him to represent me was well worth it. He provided invaluable advice on visitation guidelines and how I should modify my current agreement. I didn’t feel like I was just another client. He was genuine and caring and made me feel like my case was important. Ultimately, Mr. Michael Daugherty helped me to win sole custody of my child and amend the visitation agreement. The process in the court was seamless, professional, and I am grateful the stress that I feared was alleviated by his supportive and thorough handling of my case. 5 STARS!!! I live in Indiana and I was in virginia for a couple weeks working and while I was there I receieved a dui one night after having a few beers after work. I was only suppose to be in virginia for a couple more days so I needed help fast! I called atleast 8 -10 different firms and spoke with tons of lawyers. NO one would give me the right answers or information. Until i spoke with David Daughtery. Not only was he the most fair priced but he understood the situiation better and made me feel way more comfortable about it . I told him I did not want to have to come back to the state just for a court date. He said hell do everything he can to make that happen . And he did ! i never had to go to court once and he still somehow got my dui dropped to a wreckless driving. Just a small court fee i Had to pay and no more dui. I wouldnt suggest anyone going anywhere else other than David for a dui !! He kept me informed daily on what was going on and called me personally to tell me the good news on the dui being dropped ! THANKS DAVID !!

My husband and I were very fortunate to meet Mike Daugherty under a difficult situation. Mike was extremely professional, attentive, informative, understanding and helpful regarding our case related to child custody. Mike was extremely down to earth and very approachable. He supported us and never made us feel left out related to any of the court information or logistics. Mike maintained a contact during the 6 months we worked with him. I would like to extend my appreciation and thanks to David Daugherty, for his last minute assistance with my son who was a witness in a crime committed near my home. I contacted David 2 days before the arraignment, because of my concern that my son possibly could incriminate himself. David met me at my home the very day I first contacted him. He gave us very good legal advice and met my son and me the morning of the court date. David was excellent and very pro active. He met with the police officer and prosecuter prior to entering court and kept my son and I apprised of what possibly could go on during the proceedings and again was spot on. 5 STARS!!!!! Dave from The Daugherty Law Firm helped me out tremendously!!! I was charged with driving on a suspended(2nd offense) & reckless driving. Both charges carry a potential maximum of 1 year of jail time. With already having a conviction of driving on suspended and a reckless driving conviction just 7 months earlier and the driving record that I have. I was looking at jail time. Dave not only kept me out of jail, but I also was able to keep my license. NO JAIL TIME & NO LICENSE SUSPENSION!!! He is a very dependable & fair attorney.
