My experience with Zimmerman began when I met one of their service personnel on the street. He was leaving a home that I had visited because they were using excessive water. As a service person for the water company I wanted to follow up on the findings of my customer. The Zimmerman service person took time to explain what he found and I felt sure my customer would not continue to use excessive water. This customer had mentioned to me that they had Zimmerman for service and spoke very highly of them. I was on the market for a replacement furnace, air-conditioner and a new emergency generator. That street experience weighted my decision to go with Zimmerman. Since then I have had very positive experiences with office personnel, installation personnel and service personnel. Heck even Earnie Zimmerman is OK! Perhaps Ernie charges a little more but I am sure that is how he keeps his top of the line employees. 01/30/2017 (two years later) I continue to have a maintenance agreement with Zimmerman. They show up on time and do a thorough check of the equipment. Yesterday I questioned the blower speed on my furnace (I have when the equipment is smarter than I) and the maintenance person listened to my issue then listened to my furnace. He agreed that it needed attention out of his time and spare part range. He made a couple calls and in an hour a service person was here and promptly replaced the faulty part. This was not a system down issue but they gave it exceptional Customer Service. 08/22/2017 Just had another Planned Maintenance which was on time and professional. I feel I am getting a good bang for my buck when you can tell the service technicians are happy with their employer. Keep up the good work Ernie and they will keep up their good work.

This past year after purchasing a home, Zimmermans replaced a furnace, an AC unit and soon a water heater as well as recently looking at a leak in the ceiling that thankfully was not a plumbing issue. In the near future I will have to upgrade the fuse box panel. I could tell a long story. But the short of it is this, I have had so many contractors at my home for other issues and this is the only business I would recommend. I have not been cheated, lied to, and experienced no shows and oh, you need to spend more money. Every single person who came to my house, were thoroughly educated, willing to explain every step of the process whether in maintenance or replacement, willing to help with pricing, hid no costs, and going more than the extra mile to help me through each hardship I experienced. Thank you so much Earnie Zimmerman for your exceptionally high standards! Impossible to find such humanity today. I have high regard for each individual. Ed is outstanding! Earnie and John Acke thank you so much for working with me! And Kim, Christina, Julia thank you for your quick responses whether by phone or email to send someone out as quickly as possible. (And those who I have not named here because I am not good at names! I include you too!) I recommend no other company than Zimmermans. Worth every cent! You will have complete satisfaction and expertise and no regrets!! Everyone goes beyond just fixing a problem, they sincerely care about you.

While I understand this is a busy time of year, I am extremely frustrated with Zimmerman and will likely be looking elsewhere for service. I called Zimmerman last Tuesday 5/31 and was asked if I had a service plan (which I do not). They then proceed to tell me if I had a service plan they could have someone here in a day or two. However they wanted to charge me $200 for a service plan PLUS the $70 service call fee so I said no thank you. I was then told it will likely be end of the week or beginning of the following week. So on Monday 6/6 they call to basically ask me if I still need service to which I replied yes. I was then told the same thing, we may have someone this week or possibly next week. It basically sounds to me they do not want my business unless I am willing to fork over money for something I may or may not need. Just guessing but I suspect I will need a new furnace and AC unit (both more than 25 years old) so zimmerman is likely going to be losing some serious business. FOLLOWUP - As of today 6/9 I called Secco which I do NOT have any service agreement with and they were willing to come out next day to assist.

It was an absolute pleasure working with the Zimmerman team. When our central air conditioning system went down on a 93 degree day, Earnie and Chris responded within hours of our call for help, to get us started moving forward with a new system. Quite impressive to have the owner of company and his son-in-law personally visit, assess our needs and make solid recommendations, on one of their busiest days of the summer. Making arrangements to keep our house cooled until installation date was much appreciated. The installation of our new heating and cooling system was seamless. Installers Scott and Chris were professional and courteous, and took plenty of time to describe the features of our system, and provide guidance in how best to use and operate it. Even the visit by Bill the plumber to address a couple of plumbing issues was timed to accommodate our schedules during installation. Thanks to everyone for making this a very pleasurable experience.

Our Zimmerman’s HVAC service technicians have always been outstanding. Our most recent semiannual service/inspection was performed by Ed. He’s extremely knowledgeable, friendly and takes the extra time to ensure you’re satisfied the job is done right. We interviewed several HVAC companies before selecting Zimmerman’s to handle our HVAC/plumbing needs. Each shared their own pitch when selling and all had something different to offer. They spanned in price range from expensive to economy. But what stood out about Zimmerman’s was their honesty and genuine care for their client and employees. We have thoroughly enjoyed our HVAC system. It as well as the technicians are reliable. Bottom line; you get what you pay for.

Ed Rickenbach This was my first time using E Zimmerman and I am glad I called them. The two technicians that showed up were friendly and very knowledgeable about my problem right off the bat. Within minutes they had the problem solved. My water pressure was 100psi way too high causing water pipe hammering. They explained what they were about to install would put our water pressure to a normal psi. After installing the water pressure reducer on the system they checked everything out for us and that was it. I looked at the work they did. Having knowledge of sweating copper pipe joints in the past I have to tell you these guys are pros, great job. They will be my “go to guys” in the future.

Greatly appreciated their reworking schedules to address the water issue. technician was nice and the good news was the condensation hose was clogged. Honest feedback; after hearing of the issue and getting charged almost $200, I must say their fees are absolutely ridiculous. If a plumbing and heating company wants to build good will; show the home owner the issue and offer simple solutions to fix going forward. This could of been a 20 inye calla dnwa sloe to 1.5???? I appreciate the costs of having technicians but really..$200 for a clogged condensation line? Ill fix next time as I was concerned it was the hot water tank..but it was not!

Called another company and they wanted a 200 dollar service fee. 200...just to pull in the driveway. Talked to neighbor and they suggested Zimmerman. They also had a " pull in the driveway fee" but much more reasonable then the previous. I get it. Why would anyone want to come all that way to do 15 minutes worth of work. But 200 is ridiculous. Zimmerman did charge 59, totally reasonable. I had a pretty big issue...I usually try and do it myself but this was beyond me. Zimmerman came through for my household in a pinch. Would definatley use their service again. Only downfall....i cant stop singing that song now.

This visit and the one before, both technicians tried to sell us something we feel we did not need. The last time they came out, the two techs tried to tell us we needed this extra piping for the condensation line at a cost of $225.00. We said no. This visit, the technician asked for me to come to the unit inside the house. There was a noise coming from the fan rubbing against the internal part and stated we needed a new one at the tune of $660.00. Never heard that noise in the six years we lived here. Not sure what the game is here? I do know that they may not be coming back.

I have used Zimmermans heating and cooling maintenance program for 3-4 years now. The company has always been very friendly and the technicians very knowledgeable. This year the company really proved to me how much they do care about their customers. I had to cancel my appointment last minute because of a family medical emergency. The lady on the phone was extremely understanding and called a few days later to reschedule. I was able to get an appointment the following week. It was helpful during that stressful time that the company was flexible. Thank you Zimmermans!

We have been a customer for several years now and have had no problems, issues. They always provide good service (office and techs) and do not try to upsell. If anything they have been very professional in terms of suggesting things to replace and upgrade, and given us an estimate ( ballpark) on what these items were to cost when replaced and why this was a good idea to do so. In the few times we have had to call for emergencies, they have been very prompt and immediate. We also have their service plan which also helps in the long run in repairs and cleaning services.

Our technician was polite and punctual but it took over a week to get a plumber scheduled and although Zimmerman has serviced our home before and had all records, the plumber showed up without the right parts, had to leave without resolving the issue and order the parts that they were told ahead of time would be needed (UV bulb). This took an additional week. Next we asked for an estimate on a water softener. Compared to several other quotes we received, they were by far $1k higher. So, the work done was adequate but took too long.

Zimmerman had replaced the flushing mechanism in our toilet. When it started to inadequately fill the toilet with water, the Zimmerman plumber came a few hours after we called, After removing the tank cover, he noticed that the rubber hose which fills the tank and bowl with water had popped out of its tube. He shortened the hose, reinserted it properly and the toilet functioned correctly. He then told us that the service would be charged to the warranty, not to us. We were very pleased and thankful with the the outcome.

They did an amazing job. From start to finish they emailed me to let me know when they would be out. The crew picked my house keys up from my office and left them where I requested. The foreman Josh called after he was finished to let me know how everything went. When I got home everything was cleaned up and looked crisp. I can honestly say they were a headche free company. Today that speaks for its self. I will most definitely recommend Zimmerman to friends and family. Thanks again for your service.

Zimmerman came to our home, helped us understand our issues and how they were related to other systems in our home. Then they helped us find the least expensive option. On top of that...they recognized that we were looking for quicker service, so they kept our file active and called us when they had their first cancellation. We had our new Water System in place 2 days earlier than anticipated. They will definitely be our first call any time in the future.

Thank you to Harry at P H Zimmerman for his help and patience while helping us over the phone to fix our furnace late on a Friday night...when they were calling for temps in the single digits. He was kind in offering for someone to come look at it but suggested a few things to check on our own. He was on mark!!! It was a clogged condenser hose hiding behind the bottom panel of the furnace. We were VERY grateful to him. Thank you Harry!

Serviceman came to house due to furnace issue. Stayed 10 minutes changed the air filter using one we already had and charged us 140 dollars. Was told this was the best price they could give us even though we have been good customers with a service contract for the last couple of years. 71 dollars was refunded because they used a filter that we already had at the house as replacement so the only charge was the 69 dollar service charge.
