On 6 August 2016, I was in a car accident in Helen, and I immediately called the insurance company by phone to begin the claim process but of course they were closed on the weekend. Over the last 6 weeks, I have contacted the office multiple times and spoke with Margaret, Norma, and others but unfortunately no representative has been able to provide a resolution to this issue. I received the insurance paperwork via mail on the week of 5 September 2016 that included the title, assessment of vehicle damage, and forms to notarize/send which I mailed on 8 September 2016 for a 2-day shipping and it was successfully delivered on 12 September 2016 since the 2-day fell on a Saturday (10 September 2016). Once I confirmed the tracking that the paperwork had arrived, I called Unique Insurance to verify receipt and they informed me that it was not received and not yet scanned into their system, however I have proof from the post office tracking system that it was delivered, and was later informed that it took them 4 business days to scan information into their system. When I called on 19 September 2016 I was informed that the claim is still open and since it is over 30 days now, it is highly likely that this will hit my credit report for delinquent payment which it did. I have GAP insurance and my Bank was notified on August 6 about the incident, since then my Bank has been waiting on Unique to finalized the claim. I have given Unique every possible information to reach my bank even down to an ext for my rep. I was advised by my bank that the got something from them on the 16th of September, however it was incomplete information and not legible. I contact Unique again to advised of this new issue only to be told by the rep that Unique sent out all needed information and they are not responsible, if bank can not read the information. I was told by Unique rep that my Bank has a bad Fax machine.... ? So I went ahead and Fax what Unique has sent me to my Bank, just so the process can keep moving on 21th of September. This is the worst company ever and I wish I never went with them in the first place. They are rude, never answer the phone or email, even the manager Norma H. at ext 7504 for Team H, it took her 2 business days to return 10 calls from the same day. When you ask to speak to a manager they forward you to her line which is always voice mail. I also think they look at what number is calling and choose weather to answer or not. 43 business day later and Its to the point where I have gotten GA insurance agency included and BBB Please Please Please DONT SPEND MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY JUST FOR A CHEAP RATE. ITS NOT WORTH IT TO HAVE YOUR CREDIT MESSED UP AND SPEND HOURS ON THE PHONE CALLING THE SAME NUMBER THAT WILL GET ANSWERED 1/1000

I only gave them on star, because 0 was not an option. I work for an agency, and one of my insureds was in an accident, no fault of his own, by a driver with a police from Unique Insurance. A claim was filed, but after a week, a claims adjuster had not yet contacted the claimant (person whose car was hit). He finally had to call them to give them a description of what happened and tell them where the car now was. I have also called the claims adjuster several times and after leaving several messages on her voicemail, contacted her supervisor and left multiple messages with her. Her voicemail said she would get back to me within 24-48 business hours, but after a week and half I still have not received a call back from her. I also sent a message through their contact us page, but either it did not go through or it was ignored since I never received any acknowledgment or response from that either. I have talked to the claims adjuster several times, each time I had to call her, to get updates on what was happening since no one had contacted the claimant, and she was always rude. They did send someone to look at the car, but after a week still had not contacted the claimant, despite his calling several times and leaving messages with the claims adjuster, her supervisor, and her supervisor’s supervisor. I called them this morning to ask for an update, and find out whether they were planning on accepting liability, and the claims adjuster told me that they were waiting on the report from the car (a week later) and that they had not been able to get a hold of their insured yet. When I asked her how much longer they were planning on waiting for their insured, she said that if they had not heard from them with 30 days then they would deny the claim. Which is ridiculous considering the insured received two citations for the accident and the claimant received none. So, I asked to speak with her supervisor, at which point the claims adjuster told me to call customer service and hung up on me and after reading complaints filed with the BBB saw that other people have experienced the same thing when dealing with claims adjusters. I have also talked with the other agent who wrote the policy in the first place, and he has had pretty much the same problems and has informed me that he is moving all of his Unique policies as soon as possible to another company.

We are lien holders on a vehicle that was a total loss and we called to speak to Team H, ( who never answers the phone) For two weeks I called once a day and left a voicemail. Fed up I hit the extensions for making a payment and someone answered. ( big surprise that collection was easier to reach) I was informed that we should send the title to receive payment , at which I explained to them, that is not how it works. I sent a copy of the title to show we possess it, with our lien, and a pay off amount. I asked them if this was all they would need. I was told yes.-----2 weeks later, still no response. I start the cycle of calls and leaving voicemails and emails. No response. I hit the extension for payments and get a live person who transfers me to a supervisor who is unavailable. I call back , call payments and get an answer and ask them if they have recieved my calls and emails. The person I am speaking with says they cannot issue payment because they need a "letter of guarantee." I explained the hassle of contact and the fact that the last person told me that I had sent them all they need. He assured me that with the letter of guarantee I would get the check. ----1 week later call back, no answers. Call payments and get someone and they look up account ans said nothing is issued. No comments other than that they requested my letter of guarantee which I emailed and sat on the phone until they confirmed it got there. I complained to the woman who offered to transfer me to Team H . I explained that no one answers their phone or emails there and she said "sorry" and transferred me anyways. GUESS WHAT! NO ANSWER!

The worst insurance company vehicle is theft if you have a problem ever you solve it and worst of all if something happens to your car and have full cover they do not solve anything and the fact of making claims when it reaches the year you need to renew again they sent me a letter cancelandome diciiendo that I would never again renew the most ridiculous policy that could happen because if they ever solved me no more paid no blow of the cars I see no reason for the cancellation but good because they are swindlers if my advice helps them not to accept this offer ensured when the Unique Insurance

My name is Camille H. and my adjuster is Sheila McCraw. I filed my claim in Oct. and I emailed her my release form on Dec 23. She said once she receives my release the check will be sent. It has been over 2 weeks and still no check. I have reported this company to the Department of Insurance. They need to be held responsible if they say the are going to pay they need to pay for there client. I still have not been able to get my car fixed. If you are searching for an insurance company stay away from UNIQUE. The customer service is horrible and they are rude and will not help you. It is sad that they get paid from their client but will not pay when their client is at fault and they acknowledge that their client is at fault. STAY AWAY FROM UNIQUE AND THERE INSURED DRIVERS. Reply to Mr. Dorado. I emailed you directly with my full name and claim number and you did not even respond but responded to this review, What a shame. My claim number is 15-GAP 07732. Look that up and you will see how long your beloved adjuster took. You need to focus on getting your insurance company to follow the department of insurance guidelines because my claim was well over 60 days.

I was involved in a car accident with an insured drive of their on August 1, 2016. I filed a Claim on the 2nd of August, was told to take me vehicle to their body shop. Called back a week later to find out that, they were still trying to get a hold of the other party to get their side of the story as well as the IL cash report. I spoke with the party who hit me later that who called them to get give them all the details needed of the accident. I have called Unique multiple times a week to hear they are still waiting for the IL crash report or to leave voicemails to never get a return call. I do not understand what the hold up is! I was sitting at a red light when their insured driver hit my vehicle. Why when I reported the accident on the 2nd of August would they wait till the 18th of August to request a copy when they told me they requested it a week prior. Their insured drive even gave the same details of the accident that I provide them with. I would just like to get my car fixed. I should not have to go through my insurance company and pay a deductible for something I was not a fault.

Do not buy UNIQUE INSURANCE! !!!! Run!! Switch to GEICO! !! Takes 30-45mins before claims department picks up!! JUST TO BE SPOKEN TO WITH AN ATTITUDE! !! C L A I M S ADJUSTER NEVER PICK UP OR CALL WITHIN THE 48 HOUR TiME FRAME!!! THIS IS PATHETIC!! SHE NEVER CALLED!!! STILL WAITING!!!!!!! IM INSURED WITH GEICO BUT WAS HIT BY A UNIQUE INSURED DRIVER. AND I MUST SAY THEY ARE THE LOWEST OF THE LOW!!!!!!!! IM GOING TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF ILLNIOS!! BBB .. AND WHOM EVER ELSE. I WILL ALSO TAKE THEM TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT! They are the worst car insurance I ever had. They will not answer you in days, even if you call them every single hour. They will keep telling you to wait after they answer your call, and you will not get the help you want from them. The woman who is responsible for my claim, her name is Natalia said that she is going to send a check in order to fix my car. I called her two weeks ago on Thursday, she said I am going to get the check after one week from that date and now it been two weeks. Also, you will be so lucky if she answered you! In my opinion, they are not good as they think; they are so bad in their jobs. If there is something, unique about this insurance is that they are so very bad with costumers. When I am done with them I will cancel my account with them, and I will go to State Farm because there is no point of having a car insurance and no one is answering you.

I was involved in an accident one week ago today. Since there is no 24 hour line, I had to wait until Monday to file my claim. The woman I spoke to said the car, which is a total loss, would be removed from the yard it was towed to by Thursday and she informed me that I am responsible for the tow and storage fees. After many attempts to speak to someone at Unique with zero answers via phone or emails I have sent, my last phone call I was hung up on. The car is still sitting at the tow yard, I am still accruing storage fees every day it sits there and no one at Unique can tell me why or when it will be removed. They have not contacted the tow yard either. They just do not care about their clients during an already extremely stressful time. We did our job paying our premium every month, now they need to do their job!
