Wrote this in 2014: Matt Stone and his team have been extremely helpful to me and my family over the years. I really appreciate the personal - and professional - service. They have not only served my family well, but also my business. These are good people doing good work. 2017 Update to my previous review: We just had a major claim on our house this summer. I had never made a claim of this size before. Matt and his team were terrific! They walked us through the process, answered all our questions (a lot), etc. In the end, the repairs were completed and the insurance covered a lot more of it than I was expecting. To restate my previous review: Matt and his team are good people doing good work.

I have been with Nationwide Insurance (homes and vehicles) for thirty (30) years with the last fourteen (14) years with Matt Stone (out of Fairfax Virginia). Based on my experience (claims and agent interactions), I rate Nationwide (Mr. Stone) a solid five (5) in customer service, claim resolution, and communication (being forthright and honest). Although cheaper insurance companies exist, further review (and discussions with their clients) revealed it was best (for me) to stay with Nationwide. Based on my experience, claims were processed professionally, timely, and with little hassle.

Matt & Nationwide have handled my home, auto, boat, and excess insurance for 25 years. The Oct 2012 storm dropped a tree on our home; we notified Nationwide claims that night & checked into a hotel for 4+ months. Matt was at our home at 8:00 the next morning to make sure that Nationwide was taking care of us; they were, and continued to do so every day.
