We recently relocated from Alamo Heights to Castle Hills and needed a new privacy fence to replace an old dilapidated chain link fence. I contacted four different companies for bids on the project that required 450+ linear ft. I chose to work with Roger Gilbert of City Fence Company of San Antonio. Yes his price was fair but I was impressed by the honest approach he took to make sure I had an equal comparative bid across all companies. He was also straight forward about the materials they would use and the construction, which was important to me. The fence work began on schedule and was complete on schedule. I was kept informed of any issues or items that required decisions, he would always check with me before making any decisions. The crew was neat about their work and they built a high quality product. We are completely satisfied with the fence and it really made a difference in the way the property is framed and the curb appeal of our home. I highly recommend you contact Roger Gilbert at City Fence Company if you are considering having work done. Very reasonable, honest, and high quality.

Recently, City Fence Co.replaced a double fence (chain link/cedar privacy) in the backyard. From beginning to end, the experience was professional. Roger did the estimate and it was detailed w/diagram - this alone put them way ahead of the other fence company we contacted. Because we live in Converse, getting a work permit was difficult, but Roger managed to accomplish this too (no small feat as others had failed). Throughout that whole process, Roger always answered his phone and kept me informed of the progress. DelFino was our contractor and the man is incredible. Every little detail was taken care of and the yard is virtually escape-proof for our dogs. This included building and hanging double driveway gates. Brenda facilitated the project and was easy to contact. Would highly recommend this company to anyone.

Roger Gilbert came out to the house to measure for the fence, discuss what I wanted and wrote a bid on the spot, which was fair and competitive. He also gave me an accurate idea of the time it would take once they started the job. We chose the cedar wood and cattle panel fence and are thoroughly pleased with the results. The fence was completed in a timely manner, the old wooden fence materials removed and the work site was cleaned up well. Before completing the final payment, I asked Roger to look at several parts of the fence I thought should be done better. He agreed and the work was done over to my satisfaction. I also had good contact with Brenda the secretary and Benjy Nixon, the General Manager. All in all, City Fence built us a great fence that will last for years.

We had a steel, ranch style fence of square tubing with hog wire designed and built by Manuel, and crew. Roger came out to take the measurements, and provided sales/customer support throughout the building process. The build started a little late because the previous job took a little longer than expected. After watching the detailed, quality work done by Manuel and crew, I understood why it took longer to get things started. Roger, Manuel and crew were open to adjustments from the original plan, and took great pride in their work. The price was fair, and the fence turned out great.

I must say I really liked what City Fence did for the fence at my old house that I called them again when I needed work done in my new home. This time I needed a new Patio Cover and was very pleased with the work and workers. One extra note is 4 days after it was installed we had a hail storm and during the storm my husband and I were concerned for our new Patio Cover. City Fence just finished installing my cedar fence, and I love it!! The salesman and the workers were very polite. The work was done when they said it would be. The workmanship is top-notch!! Very Pleased! I had them replace an old fence and repair a chain link fence. The new cedar is gorgeous, as are the new posts. They left the area clean and did no damage to existing landscaping. They installed a pole for stability along the bottom of my green chain link fence. I no longer have to worry about the animals cutting through or crawling under the fence. I delayed going out of town in order to meet with City Fence Company. Their representative was very knowledgeable and friendly and promised to get me an estimate within two days. A week later I still did not have an estimate so I called and texted to find out the status of the quote. Still waiting for the courtesy of a response! All in all a complete waste of time!

We agreed on a price and had them do the job. They installed a good cedar privacy fence with galvanized poles. I was pleased how the job turned out and will use them again in the future.

They kept our yard clean throughout the process, and sent someone out once the job was complete to be sure everything including all of the hardware was installed properly.
