Fort Worth Air Conditioning Co. was absolutely wonderful to me and my husband when our air conditioner failed to cool off last week. On July 21, 2017, I called my home warranty provider to request service for our air conditioner. The warranty provider uses Grace Air and Heat. Grace Air and Heat sent over a technician that said we have a small leak and that he repaired the leak and added six pounds of refrigerant to our AC. Well the house never cooled off. I called them back to follow up and a different technician tells me several things that are wrong with the AC and that there will be some non-covered costs. He did not add more refrigerant, in fact he simply said ... " well the Freon did not make it". In the midst of our extreme frustration we decided to get a second opinion. We began to read reviews and decided to have Fort Worth Air Conditioning assess the situation. When I called to request service, Jessica answered my call and she was a breath of fresh air. She was so kind and thorough when she explained what to expect from the service visit. When Sonny (technician) arrived to my home he was extremely pleasant. He checked to see if the air conditioner was registered when we purchased the home for an appliance warranty, and when it was discovered that it was not registered he explained all of the options available to us. He informed me and my husband about everything that was wrong on his first visit and how we could effectively and economically repair our air conditioner. He offered to provide us with refrigerant to keep our home cool until Jessica could get us scheduled for the repair. When Sonny added refrigerant to our air conditioner it worked to cool our home!!! When the refrigerant ran out James (another technician with Fort Worth Air Conditioning) came to add more refrigerant until he repaired our AC leak the next day. James was also very thorough and explained everything before he did the repair. He also noticed that we had a clog in our drain that was the culprit to our leak. He discussed routine maintenance to keep our air conditioner in the best condition. We are so grateful and appreciative of the service from Fort Worth Air Conditioning. We will continue to be a customers of Fort Worth Air Conditioning as long as we live in Fort Worth. If you need service for your air conditioner, save yourself the stress and call Fort Worth Air Conditioning. You will be very glad that you did.

When your air goes out on a 100+ day it is miserable. I could not get my regular company to come out for 4 days so I started reading reviews. I found some of the best with Fort Worth Air. I called left a message and promptly my call was returned. Sonny was very professional and best of all could be here within a couple of hours. He assessed the problems quickly and quoted a fair price not the cheapest but I did feel the value of having the parts with him and the quick response. I trusted his work and felt he knew what he was doing. I was excited to have my air working well within an hour or so. He also made me feel confident regarding the 14yr old unit itself and showed me different procedures to keep it running for a long time to come. Thanks Sonny I can not say enough how much I appreciate your professionalism, your knowledge and your abiltiy to get the job done quickly. Thanks again and I highly recommend Fort Worth Air Conditioning, call them you will be glad you did!

POOR SERVICE – WILL NEVER USE AGAIN! Sonny came out and performed the inspection and said our AC was fine and performing excellently. After he left, we noticed that it had started making a VERY LOUD noise…a noise that it WAS NOT making before his visit. We called him to inquire and explained that it was not making the noise prior to him coming out and we were told we would have to pay another $79+ for him to come out and even look at it. We rebutted and he refused to come out without us paying the additional $79+. He broke our unit and refuses to come out and look at it to repair HIS MISTAKE! I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and posting this everywhere I can find for reviews … Angie’s List, Yahoo, Yelp, etc. I am EXTREMELY disappointed and will view all future service Groupon “Deals” as an opportunity to fish more $$$ out of my pocket and proceed with caution.

Our family has trusted Fort Worth Air for nearly 10 years. Sonny has been a patient, knowledgeable technician, nurturing our two 20 year old Lennox units to last year after year. He is extremely reliable - always coming out to the house quickly, and calling when he is on the way. Sonny is unique in that he takes the time to truly explain the necessary repairs, and letting us know what to expect from our units in the future. While he has had many reasons to push us to buy new equipment, he has let us come to that decision in our own time, while gently reminding us of the risks. We truly appreciate that approach. Thankfully, due to his skill as a repairman, our units are still cooling, despite the extreme Texas heat. We are truly grateful to our friend Sonny and Fort Worth Air!

I had a great experience with Fort Worth Air. My heat pump went out two days before Christmas. I have two small children and can not survive without any heat in 30 degree weather. I called Sonny and was advised right away to turn my unit to emergency heat. I had some form of heat until he came out that same day and checked my unit. Sadly, my 13 year unit had lived its last winter. Even with the upcoming holiday, he was able to order my new system. Sonny and his crew were here right after Christmas and installed my new system. The crew was very knowledgeable and thorough. I have recommended Fort Worth Air to family, friends, and anyone needing A/C assistance.

STRONGLY dont recommend!!! Sonny tried to charge me 240.00 for a 20.00 A/C capacitor. Didnt wanna budge on price even after I told him I could get it for much cheaper. I paid him the 80.00 service fee and sent him on his merry way while I picked up the capacitor and changed it myself. He had no concern for me as a customer. I was leaving my wife and 10month old while i went on deployment to Japan the next day and needed the A/C fixed. He didnt care, just wanted the money. Oh, and before he left, he made sure all the wires leading to the capacitor were wired wrong. Lucky Im and aviation electrician. Will NEVER use this company again.

We have used Ft Worth Air a few times now. They have always been quick to find a low cost solution, but were honest with us when we ran out of those and finally needed to replace the 20+ year old AC unit. Pricing felt like it was on the higher side, but was fair with research. The whole team (Eric, Luis, Sunny & James) was nice, professional and courteous. Only item I would improve is communication once job was contracted. Proactive progression, timeline, and completion information/updates as the project moved along would have been welcomed. Overall, great experience and we will continue to call on this team!

Best experience I have ever had getting my HVAC unit fixed. First of all they came out the same day I called. Secondly, James and Sunny explained everything to me so that I could understand exactly what was going on with my heat. Thirdly, they worked around my schedule. They came out after 4:30pm because that was when I would be home. Finally, they were unable to diagnose the problem the first time they came out... so they came out the very next day and were able to find the problem and fix it. They did not charge me for the second visit. I will forever be a costumer of Fort Worth Air Conditioning.

You cannot go wrong with Fort Worth Air Conditioning! Our AC went out during the hot days of September 2015. I called to make an appointment and they set up a time that was convenient for us. Ryan checked the unit, diagnosed the problem, and suggested the repairs that needed to be made. The price he quoted was reasonable. Charlie and Jacob arrived promptly to install the new system. They worked quickly in a very tight and hot attic. Sonny Pewitt, owner, came by later to inspect what had been done. I highly recommend Fort Worth Air Conditioning for all your heating and AC work!

Our AC system stopped working in the middle of the night during a multi day 100+ degree heat wave. I called Fort Worth Air Conditioning on Saturday morning at 9:00. I was given a 1-3 pm window for repair with a promise that I would be called ahead of time. Sonny called at 12:15 to confirm if we were home and arrived early by 12:30. He was extremely friendly, upfront about costs, and had us up and running again in about 20 minutes. We were extremely thrilled with the service and will be recommending Fort Worth Air Conditioning to anyone who is in need of an HVAC tech.

Awesome service! Ryan was out here in just a few hours after initial call and fixed bad capacitor in less than 30 min. James was also very helpful and professional. Five stars! Edit: Another great experience with Fort Worth Air Conditioning. Sonny came out and performed some minor repairs to an electrical box that burned out as well as cleaning the coils and topping off the freon on my units. He walked me through each step and finished quickly. A/C is ice cold in my house. This is a first rate company and I highly recommend!

Besides the initial shock at the "part" pricing, I was very pleased with the quick service. I called about the cost of the part and received a lengthy explanation which was sincere and understandable. The part purchase price was significantly lower than the price on the invoice. The explanation included, labor, insurance, overhead, profit etc..... The trip cost was on top of all that but it was an evening repair and the tech showed up at 10 and was finished by 11. I called Sonny for a quote to replace my entire heat pump including the air handler. he gave us several options. I was most impressed when he recharged the condenser, and rinsed the coils off on my current old unit ( at a reasonable price) and went the extra distance to explain what was wrong with mine and what I needed to know about newer HVAC units.. none of the other companies I called even asked if I wanted them to look at the old unit. thanks a lot Sonny!

I had a great experience with Fort Worth Air Conditioning. The owner, Sonny, came out to do an estimate on Friday and my new system was installed on Monday. The two man crew was polite and efficient, I only heard from them when they needed to show me how to work my new thermostat. Sonny checked in on the job in the morning and at the conclusion in the evening and let me know I could call him if I had any questions or problems. Overall a quick and easy process!

I hate to give these guys a bad rating but they are EXPENSIVE!! They were very quick to send out a technician, who was clearly very knowledgeable about AC units but before I knew it, I was out over $400 without EVER being told what was going on. If you use these guys, they will definitely fix the problem and then some but I would make sure to communicate before even letting them touch your ac unit.

We live in West Fort Worth and have used Fort Worth Air for 2-3 yrs now. My husband and I are extremely happy with their quality service. Our unit went out last night so we called first thing this morning, Sonny was here by 10am and it was working as good as new by 12. That in itself goes to show why we continue service through Fort Worth Air and will continue to be loyal customers!
