Jacob Jeffries is an outstanding Attorney and an asset to the Coker Legal team. Jacob and his legal assistant, Jennifer Henson, were very understanding, responsive, patient, and courteous and professional during one of the most uncertain, uncomfortable and frightening times for my family. I contacted Coker Legal after finding a number of other Denton area attorneys had been“conflicted out” or flatly refused to assist with a divorce where there might be even a scintilla of a thought about reconciliation. It was exhausting and I began to think I would not find a lawyer willing to help. I am so glad I went to Coker Legal and met with Mr. Jeffries. He listened and clearly understood my concerns. He also educated me on the divorce process, outlined options for going forward, and stood ready for action regardless which direction my case would take. Having Mr. Jeffries and the Coker Legal team by my side gave me the security that I was protected, and much needed piece of mind in the confusion and emotions of divorce. I could not have asked for a better attorney who assisted me with legal guidance through such a stressful and difficult situation. Jacob and Jennifer, I sincerely appreciate all your help, compassion and the professionalism demonstrated in my case. DOUBLE BILLING AND BILLS FOR EVERYTHING I retained Kimberly Killebrew from Coker Legal in September of 2014, for a divorce. I met with Kim on a couple of occasions and I requested minimal work to be done by Kim and her team. Over the next few months, I was billed thousands of dollars to simply reply to some emails and file a counter petition. While not being satisfied with results and reviewing my bills, I began to seek alternative council. In doing so, I noticed I was double billed initially for "opening and preparing new client file". Additionally, most of what I was billed for adhered to their billing guidelines, however, being billed for multiple conferences with her legal assistant that I was not aware of as well as billed to perform a motion to withdraw that was not requested were certainly questionable items. I attempted to work with the Coker Legal team, including Duane Coker, to adjust my billing and they did recognize and refund the double billing, but only after I had brought it to their attention. Coker Legal declined to work with me on the other items as they stated it was within their guidelines. While they were within the letter of most of their charges, in consultation with other attorneys in the area, they were not common practice. I cannot recommend anyone at Coker Legal and, if you have already retained them, I encourage you to diligently review your bills.

I worked with Kimberly Killebrew and her legal assistant, Lacee Young. At first I felt completely lost. I needed to have custody of my daughter and had no idea where to start. Kim and Lacee made everything such a delightful experience. Not only did they handle my case with extreme professionalism, they were very friendly. They sat down and took the time to explain every aspect of the case so that I had a full understanding of what was going on as well as what would happen in the future. I thought this would be complicated and a long process, but I was wrong. They were able to laugh and actually connect with me while making sure I felt legally supported the whole time. I used Coker Legal for a recent divorce and was extremely happy with the service I received. The staff was always friendly and very helpful. Emails were very prompt. The questionnaires made the process very easy to complete and once finished we only needed one small change which was handled within a couple hours. Step by step instructions were to the point and gave me a heads-up on what to expect. On my court appearance all paperwork was correct, and after a few quick questions the judge signed the paperwork and all was over. Jackie and Toya were my contacts and I want to thank them for their very professional help. All costs mentioned up front was all I paid... they did not have any hidden fees. Very professional! I will highly recommend their firm to anyone who needs their service.

When you find yourself needing a family law attorney it is almost never a good situation. There is no shortage of attorneys out there that will take the case. There are however, few who will take care of your family law needs as well as Coker Legal . The attorney on our case , Jackie Cannon and all the staff at Coker Legal have treated us very well. We have always felt like we were being cared for, that we were not just a case number. It has been a long journey so we have seen the consistent performance provided by Coker Legal . I sought out CokerLegal when a trusted friend told me about their “Financially Planning your Divorce Program”. I was intrigued right away, enough to fly in from El Paso. It was an awesome experience, I had the Clarity, Confidence, and Courage just like the brochure said. The process was easy and all removed all the conflict from the conversations I was having with my wife. We were able to focus on the future ahead and move forward. I am very happy I took Duane’s advice to bring in his trusted Certified Financial Planner to evaluate all the financial stuff and do all the divorce before and after financial planning.
