My hearing was on July 20th of 2017, and Scott and I won it. One and done as they say. I’ve had many people ask me if having a lawyer is worth it. I have to say, OH HELL YES to that question. It is a VERY slow process to get to the hearing level. Why would anyone want to go into the hearing without being as well armed as possible? The statistics bear out that more people win their hearing with lawyers, than those without. Not to mention there was a whole lot of paperwork in my file at the end of the hearing, and I did not place it there. So the 2 years you’re waiting for a hearing, it may not seem like your lawyer isn’t doing anything; believe me, he is. So now that I’ve convinced you that you need a lawyer; why hire Scott? Scott truly knows the system. We had a very thorough consultation a few days before the hearing, and Scott completely changed my perception of what was important and what wasn’t. I had practiced explaining the facts of my disability for months, and Scott boiled it down to just a couple salient points. It was, in my opinion, a crucial step towards winning my hearing. Another good reason to hire Scott, is because of the amazing rapport he has with everyone in the offices where the hearings are held. It was obvious he is well liked, and respected, by everyone there. I know exactly what you’re going through right now. I have been there. Having a lawyer will help ease the anxiety. Having such a knowledgeable, and well respected, attorney like Scott will help even more.
