AAA was among the worst scammers and worst performers I have encounter in 40 years of owning a car. I hate to say this, because I have had AAA for over 30 years as tow insurance, and with that, they are great. But the car care center at Waverly in Cary, is the worst. My wife brought our car in for a simple oil change. A 2 year old Mazada 6 with no issues. They took over an hour, with a pre-arranged appointment, to come out to tell her she needed a new battery - well - maybe not right away, but very soon. And, your plugs and air filter are getting old. I replaced the air filter myself just 2 months prior. And then they made her wait another 45 minutes to get the oil changed. And...unbelievable since I used to change my own oil and never had this problem. She got home and we found oil on our driveway the next morning. They did not tighten the oil pan plug well enough. They told her this is probably because the plug has been replaced too many times and needs replacing...well...a two-year old car, driven 5,000 miles per year, only had its oil replaced once before (by the dealer). These guys are just full of bull. They are incompetent and trying to sell "things". The manager of the place was nice, but offered nothing in return for our inconvenience to have to return the next day and have them tighten the pan plug a quarter turn. This is ... totally unacceptable and they did not seem to care. Avoid this place like the Zika virus. They are incompetent and then try to blame their incompetence on others. I will keep AAA as my towing insurance, but Cary Waverly car care will never get my business again. And if you are smart, stay away.

Decided to go for NC State inspection since I recently joined AAA. The representatives at AAA Car Care have terrible attitude here. One was actually surprised why I came to them and then the other rep explained to him what needs to be done. After waiting for about half and hour I decided to go check on how long it might take, So I am standing in front of 3 reps who were busy doing some data entry on their computers. They did see me. I stand there for full 5 minutes hoping to get attention and none had the courtesy to ask what I need. In the meantime a call comes in and the rep promptly attends the call and continues ignoring me. Then he gets up and walks away while I still wait. Then he comes back after a while and without looking at anyone makes an announcement in general "It will be in in one minute" and then proceeds to ignoring me. At this point I decided to interrupt him and ask how long the car might take and he says I just told you. How is somebody supposes to know someone is talking to them when they are not being addressed or being looked at directly. Anyways it took another 15 minutes before the car went it. They should be courteous enough to state upfront how much time the car is going to take and when someone goes back for a question acknowledge him and ask what is the issue. Never going back to this location, terminating my AAA membership and advice others to not join AAA.

I made an appointment with this AAA on a Saturday to get a front end alignment and a tire rotation done (very black and white to me). My inspector eventually told me I needed my tires replaced and tried to sell me new tires which would cost $725. He seemed very adamant in not doing my alignment until I had made a decision. My inspector eventually became busy and I was never able to notify him of my decision (I picked a bad day, not a big deal to me and that was not the point of leaving 1 star) and I left after being there for 1.5 hours, cancelling everything and not getting what I had made my appointment for. Edit: My inspector contacted me after my previous less than stellar review, I have changed my review from 1 star to 5 stars after resolving our miscommunication from that day. The staff at this AAA do their very best to make everyone happy and provide excellent service to everyone that drops in.

AAA has always provided stellar service on my Acura TSX. My alternator was going out on the way to work so I pulled into Leith Acura since I travel by there anyways. The quote they provided ended up being $200 more than what AAA quotoed, in part because Leith Acura stated that my serpentine belt needed to be replaced. Upon inspection at AAA, they determined that there was nothing faulty about my serpentine belt so it did not need to be replaced. I had my Acura towed by AAA from Leith Acura to this AAA center around 4PM on a Tuesday afternoon. They completed the installation of the new alternator by 5:30PM same day. The service attendant was extremely informative and courteous. Absolutely a positive experience.

I was very happy today with the service I received from the AAA Cary Car Care Center. My car battery died and I did not have the correct phone number for the Cary office so I called the number for the Raleigh office. The man on the phone told me he would contact the Cary office to let them know I would bring my car over after it was jumped and I should ask for "Matt". When I arrived Matt was waiting for me and was friendly and helpful. He called me later to let me know what needed to be done and then later when it was ready. He also called after I picked it up to be sure I was happy. I very much liked having contact with one person. I could not have asked for a better experience and will go back again! Barb S.

I had a wonderful experience here. Came in with a small list of things I wanted checked on and verified (due to recommendations from another mechanic). Worked with Rich and he reviewed and verified what work I actually did need done. Since I work around the corner I like to leave my car whenever possible to give the mechanics time to fully investigate what is going on with my car. Rich called me before any work was actually done and went over all options and cost of those options. I ended up getting the LIFETIME BRAKE service (brake pads covered for life of the car!!!!) and I am completely happy because as we all know the stop-and-go traffic of 440/40 will make it very worth the price!

I went in for an oil change, they came out and said that my car will not pass the inspection because of a blown headlight bulb. The car was not in there for a NC inspection. That was concerning to me. 2 days after the oil change my engine light came on and the car started stalling as I was driving. I took the car to Carmax were I have a warranty and they did an engine diagnostic and found that the oil cap was not secure. This whole incident caused me to lose 2 hrs of work and cost me $109.00 I can say that I am not very happy and plan on going in to talk to the manager.

A+ experience got me 2 tires ASAP (Michelin not usually stocked) and an alignment for a good price. Accepted coupons and called when it was time for my car to be picked up (ahead of schedule BTW). Good people will wake care of you. Just wanted to add that i was helped both by their towing service recently as well as getting what would have cost a lot more than i payed, the guy in car care managed to knock off every discount and then some so i got 1000$ or so of work may 1200$ for around 850$ GO here they great!

I pulled into AAA with a flat tire on my trailer. Rich came out right away and aired up the tire. The problem with the tire was very noticeable, as the valve stem was leaking. Rich said he could fix it, but it will be quite a long wait, as his techs where busy with other customers vehicles. To my surprise, Rich dropped what he was doing and repaired my tire quickly. Great customer service!!!!

Had an oil change, and had no problems. Staff was polite and friendly. I made my appointment for 9am on a Saturday and waited 1 hour 45 minutes for everything to be done. A little long in my opinion, but it was a Saturday.. over all a god experience.
