This is what I think of Anchor General. Just sent this email: (All sensitive information changed or censored). Good morning Anchor General Insurance, My name is Eddie Mazariegos and I have been hit by one of your clients, Joey Hammleton, policy number: ******* on August 17th, 2016. The claim number is ********. I am terribly dissatisfied with how the company handles has handled my claim up to date. Just in case, the extension to the agent taking care of my claim is ****. I believe her name is Emily Nelson, or someone of the sort? I want it known I have been trying to get in touch with this agent for nearly 2 weeks, leaving 2 voicemails following the company policy throughout the process. I have even been calling at random times of the day trying to get a hold of Emily. I have reason to believe this person is the one responsible for taking care of my claim, but not once have I ever talked with this agent. The only reason why I know of this agent is because I called the general hotline and somebody at Anchor General provided me with the extension. My first complaint would be when I answered the phone with this agent (who I believe it to be the agent with the extension 3847) I accidentally hung up the phone immediately when I pressed my smartphone against my face. I waited patiently for a call back for my mistake, but nothing happened, forcing me to call the general hotline and locate "Tara Arena." Not once have I missed a call from your office, nor missed any appointments with your company appraisal partners. How hard is it to provide a phone call back over the course of 2 weeks? This is completely unprofessional! I have wasted countless hours with this company. Even now, I have been put on hold for hours with the claims office, After being picked up and hung (Yet again!) a second time! I have no better way of describing your company as ridiculous. And this has nothing about the damages on my vehicle (because I have been driving my damaged vehicle for nearly 3 weeks now) but the way this company treats the people involved in the claims. It is messy, unprofessional, I am leaving an online review immediately after this email. Sincerely, Eddie Mazariegos # (831) *** - **** P.S. After being placed on hold for nearly 2 hours, I talked to somebody in the Claims Department. I expressed frustration and dissatisfaction for 90 seconds explaining what this email is saying. Whoever she was put me on hold for an additional 5 minutes before my call being dropped!

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE Insurance company! Got in an accident December 15,2015 still have not gotten my car back! I spoke to our adjuster 12/23 and was unable to get her on the phone until 2/15 and that was after leaving 2 messages a week and emails and then refusing to hang up until we got her on the phone. When we finally got her on the phone, she proceeded to yell at me and let me know that they did not need to give us any updates on what was happening with our claim. She told me I had no business calling and asking about what was going on with our vehicle. We were never informed of whether it was going to be totaled or fixed, because according to her that was none of our business and they were not required to tell us anything. Her customer service was horrendous, so much so that I actually cried purely from the frustration and disbelief of what was actually taking place during that phone call. They finally approved the repairs mid February but now the autobody shop they insisted on us using is also taking their time. Every week its "oh we just got your parts in, so about 2 weeks till its ready!" So over it, not only will we have to pay a 1,000 deductible, but we are also in the hole for about the same amount in rental car fees since that was our only vehicle! If I would of called and had CHAKA GULLEY (CSR) answered I would of had an extremely pleasant customer service experience. Within 5 minutes she assisted and had sent me the documentation I needed. I give her a 5 star!!GIVE THIS GIRL A RAISE! However my first (CSR) was Andy. He was rude from the beginning of the phone call,( you may be loosing customers due to him) 30 min I was on the phone him arguing due to the fact he was so disrespectful, then when I requested his Supervisor he attitude changed. He has informed me that the company did not have the information I needed that I would need to call my Broker. I had informed him I moved out of state because he told me to come down to the company and basically fix my issues in person. Then he said that he had the information and that it would take 7 to 10 business days for him to even receive a request for my documentation ...What an awful representative for this company. needs to get replaced asap

WORST AUTO INSURANCE COMPANY EVER!!! The lady "reviewing" my claim her name is CAROLANNE she is the laziest, & rudest EVER. I was in an accident 12 days ago & she barely called me TODAY to get my statement when I have been calling and calling since last week to speak to her. After I gave my statement, I asked her what was going to happen to my car & she said she didnt know because the police report hasnt came through so she asked me to go pick it up myself! I obviously have no transportation so pI told her I pay you 120$ a month so you can take care of things like this when accidents happen... So she started yelling at me & LAUGHING at me. Then I asked to speak to her supervisor BARBARA and all she told me was "okay, what do you want me to do about that" CMON PEOPLE THIS IS MY CAR WE ARE DEALING WITH HERE & this is how they decide to treat their customers? UGH I wish there was an option for -5 stars.

They do not deserve the one star rating I am giving them. This was the worst experience with any company of any sort! They tried to charge me for the month AFTER I canceled. Since I would not pay out they sent me to collections! I called their "customer service" line and all I got was push back. I had to send three different docs to prove I had cancelled and that my cars were covered under another insurance the month after I canceled! I spoke to the "supervisor" Victor S. (He would not give me his full last name) and he had the audacity to raise his voice at me! When I called him out on it he raised his voice again saying "I am not!" But wait, the best is yet to come. When I got the third doc they requested he did not have the guys to get back on the line with me. He had a service rep talk to me because he was in a meeting. Avoid these people at all costs. Terrible service.

This insurance is a scam. Do not make the mistake of hiring her, and when you want to change not give you proof of cancellation to grab another ayas paid insurance and although everything always penalize you and charge you for clerical errors that they make and to top send you to collection. Do not be fooled and save yourself a lot of trouble. This is the worst thing. Do not waste your time or your money.

Unbelievable I do not understand why the Better Business Bureau (BBB) allows companies like this to run bussines ; I had their services for 1 year their associates agencies like ( Freeway Insurance) told me that after the first year my monthly payment will be reduce I fail one payment before end of my contract when I ask for the renewal they denied, because my car has Racing stickers, my question is why they did not told me that when they did the first contract? My suggestion is "report this kind of issues"It is a lot more to tell like they hang you on the phone, sends you to diferent representatives to make you quite make you look like ignorant when they said You suppouse to know that Sir. If some one Know who has the power to investigate this robbers let me Know please!

omg run like the wind , 3 acciedents an average of 2 months to get a resoution started and still havenrt finished dealing with them on first accident, they sdrew you every chance they can , hang up onm you threaten you,screen calls, charged for parts not needing repair in order to dcharge you a bettermenrt fee on top the decuctable , tried to total out my car and add costs not needed in order to total out a vehicle that i spoent 80 bucks repairing out mu own money because theys o solow and car is fine, they had me infveestigated by 2 private investigatiors twice but unkike then=m im squeaky clean reporrted to bbb and dept of insurance they are under investigation as far as i know

Terrible Insurance Agency. I do not recommend this Insurance Agency for service members. Check out USAA instead. I had cancelled over the phone prior to my due date on my car insurance, and they still charged me. I called and asked what the problem was and they told me they would send me a refund check immediately. This was in december. It is now march and I barely got it. They had sent it to the wrong address and they received the check back. They never called to tell me that the check was sent back to them. I had to call and ask what was going on. It took a lot of missed calls by the way. Waste of time.

Wheres the negative review for this company?! All they do is steal from you and call it "full coverage" clearly to this company it isnt full coverage if they deny to cover the cost of a collision. And to top it off heir representative have you on hold for over an hour! I kid you not, first time I called i was on hold for one hour only to be disconnected and the econd time i called i was on hold for an hour and 45 mins until someone picked up just to put me on homd again! Ive never delt with crooks like these before but lesson learned!!

Customer service is horrible. Every time I called to know any updates of my claim, no one would answer the phone. I sent them an e-mail and they took 6 days to reply. They also took 2 months to send me my check from my deductible. If you call on a Monday, be sure that NO ONE will ever answer your call and you will be on hold for 30min+. When you get the chance to talk to a representative later in the week, they will tell you that Mondays and Tuesdays are their busiest days, but they never return your call anyway.

If you get hit by someone insured by this agency, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME filing a claim yourself. Go straight through your own insurance. They do not return voice mail for over a month, do not return letters, etc.. They took my claim, sent out an appraiser, then disappeared off the face of the earth. Reporting them to dept. of Insurance. The are basically a cheap token insurance certificate for students. They have no ability to process claims.

I was rearended in a multi-vehicle accident with the last driver in the line of cars being uninsured. Was able to open a claim with the company, but not able to get a hold of the assigned agent to my claim afterwards. Called them, left them messages once a week for two months. Eventually received a letter from them that they closed my claim because they were not able to get a hold of me!!!!!!! Very unprofessional.

This insurance is crap! I had to make a claim because I hit a pole. They said if I choose another body shop besides the one they use I will being paying 20 percent of my repairs. They said I agreed to it deep in the contracts pages. This is a scam, I was unaware that this was in my policy. The cost to get my car fixed will be way more than my deductible because I want to use a good rated shop. This is Legal?

Nightmare! From start to finish, my experience with them has been extremely painful. Over the entire life of my policy they had my old address on file and they continually say they will change it but every time I call its never changed. I had to write a letter to ask for them to cancel my policy. And 5 months later im still trying to get back my remaining balance. For your own good, dont insure with them!
