I am so glad that I was told about Snug Planet and that I chose to get the ball rolling on the energy audit and updates with your company. The process to research and apply for energy assistance can be intimidating, due mainly to the paperwork, information presented and potential competitiveness for assistance. This reason alone is one of the most beneficial reasons for going with Snug Planet. I was incredibly happy that Sarah C came into my home to discuss in person all of the best options for my situation and able to answer all my follow up questions. She and all the other employees I interacted with were really great...knowledgeable, professional, flexible, kind, and efficient. I would highly recommend Snug to another homeowner looking to learn more about the ways in which our houses, appliances and living habits can do less harm to the environment and be more comfortable. I know I will benefit financially from this experience, but also enjoy my snuggly, quiet and warmer new home! Finally, if you the initial cost of making major updates to your house seems scary, the Snug team will explain every detail in understanding whether you are eligible for any updates, financing, or tax breaks. I was fortunate enough to receive assistance, and it was a pleasantly easy process, made even easier by the Snug team who were quick to answer all of the follow up questions.

The Snug Planet team are real pros and each employee is extremely qualified and dedicated to the company mission. Jon and his crew take very seriously finding the best solutions to (1) replacing fossil fuels with alternative energy sources for heating and cooling (2) conquering moisture issues with vapor barriers, dehumidifiers and sump pumps (3) increasing energy efficiency by reducing heating and cooling loads through air sealing and insulation and (4) getting you a much better level of comfort in your home. They are trained, certified and technically capable to handle these situations, get you applicable NYSERDA Grant funding and they work with other local pros as needed to complete any project. Snug Planet is the hands down the best.

This is a wonderful company to work with. Appointments happen as scheduled, work starts when promised and is done effectively and efficiently. Jon is very knowledgeable and is able to explain what needs to be done, and why, in a clear manner. The contract was written clearly and was followed as promised. The men of the working team of three for our house were pleasant, polite, and fun to have around, were very respectful of our time and property, and were very skilled at doing the work. They did a great job! When the work was complete, they left the work area in good condition and double checked to be sure everything was finished to our satisfaction. We certainly recommend this company to anyone considering an energy audit and the necessary work required to make a house more energy efficient.

First visit I had Susan- Excellent with tons of information & tips for which I followed and WOW...Then I had the big audit with Sarah- no fear of sticking her head up in the attic crawlspaces or crawling around in the underbelly of my kitchen. Pictures, tips, everything!!! When the blowers stepped in, Sarah took me around and I knew my place was cold, but now I know where and pretty much how to fix it, and the priority. One thing I do suggest is to have a loaded caulking gun ready for this test.

We enjoyed the crew (Jacob, crew leader, and Meredith, and Daniel are really nice, young professionals) and felt comfortable having them in our home. They were knowledgeable and paid great attention to detail, even noticing and fixing a small plumbing problem in our crawlspace. Bottom line, everything was completed and cleaned up neatly and nicely. We did our best to keep our yellow lab corralled, but we appreciated the crew’s having a kind word for her and a pat on the head.

Snug Planet recently sealed up our crawlspace after noticing some moisture problems during an energy audit. The team did a wonderful job sealing and insulating the entire crawlspace and it only took them two days. We have noticed a large improvement on the quality of our indoor are and can feel the floor and crawlspace area are warmer because of the insulation. They did a great efficient job of a very difficult task. I highly recommend their services.
