When the outside temperature dropping to single digit last Sunday, I got a frozen pipe problem in my bathroom due to the lack of insulation inside the wall. After searching on the internet, I decided to contact Doctor Energy Smart around the noon time because Doctor Energy Smart received a good review from Google+. Not only good reviews, I also notice that they responded every single post. The inquiry email sent from their website is pretty easy and only took me about 10 mins. After I sent our the request, I received a phone call from John with in 30 minutes. He is willing to rearrange his schedule and came to my house at 3 PM. This is a long weekend Sunday and outside temperature only around 5 degree. A very good first impression from Doctor Energy Smart !!! 2:45 PM, John show up right on time at my driveway. Another surprise !!! John explain to me about how to inject the spray foam and using his thermal camera checking around my house for all the possible leakage area. He also gave me couple tips about how to improve the house insulation. Jobs was done within two hours and I am pretty happy about it. Monday and Tuesday morning around 9 am, I received couple follow up phone calls from John. He want to make sure I am satisfied before he deposit my check. John is such a honest contractor that gave me another surprise !!! I was wondering that John might think that he is a real "Doctor" I would like to say that this is not ordinary house repairing experience that I have and Doctor Energy Smart complete gain my trust on this insulation project. I highly recommend Doctor Energy Smart for anyone who want to improve their house insulation.

I was about to spend $10,000 on soundproofing an exterior walls in a 2 room Brooklyn condominium facing major street with fire engines, road noise, ambulance noise where weekend parties are non-stop. It was simply not affordable for me at this time. I found John on-line after 2 other contractors suggested I used foam or sheet-rock over the current walls. John was able to do 3 full sides of the condo for less than half the cost in 2 days vs the 2 weeks it would have taken for the demolition/rebuild using the Green glue/decoupling method. John is expert on foam soundproofing and will make sure it is done properly the first time. The results are great as the street noise subdued to a desirable level. The side neighbors are undetectable,the echo has been reduced without effecting room sound quality and John even sealed up the windows and A/C units for even better results. Brooklyn can be a very loud place and this value added solution worked very well for our situation. Thank you John.

Prior to John and teams arrival, our early 1900s house suffered from major energy issues. We had several rooms in our house that were freezing cold in the winter and hot and humid in the summer, and our heating and cooling bills were through the roof. John diagnosed the problem to be a result of no / poor insulation in our walls and no barrier around our basement sill. The team did a fantastic job injecting spray foam into our existing mud room, bathroom, hallway and family room walls. The attention to detail and prep work was second to none. John spent hours cleaning our entire basement sill to ensure a clean application of spray foam. I can already tell see our AC usage going down and I really look forward to a warm winter and my boiler getting a much needed break. I highly recommend Dr. Energy Smart for any of your insulation needs. Great value and great service!

The spray foam insulation was the best decision we ever made for our old house!! There was a draft from our basement into our living room that made the room freezing cold! It turns out once the sill in our basement was insulated with spray foam (we previously had fiberglass insulation) and the walls injected, the loss of energy and the difference in room temperature was noticeable!! And once Dr. Energy Smart injected our dining room wall the wind stopped blowing into the house!!! Doing this has also made a our energy bills lower!! Which is something everybody can relate to!!!! I highly recommend Doctor Energy Smart from Kate, John and Jim and everybody else who works with them!! They know what they are doing and work with you. This was one of the BEST things we have done since buying the house in 1989 that was originally built in 1900.

I have an older house (about 80 years old) and my sun room was very cold because it had 3 exterior walls and a crawl space below. John injected foam into the walls, sprayed foam on the underside of the floor, and sprayed all around the sill plate all along the exterior walls of my house. He also sprayed the foundation walls in the crawl space, which had a lot of cracks and was very drafty, and he did not charge me for that portion of the job because my father is a veteran who served our country and was wounded in Vietnam. I have noticed a huge difference in the temperature of my sun room and am very happy that I can now enjoy it all year long!

We have an older home, and he was very knowledgable about the air leakage points in the house and recommended great solutions to create more efficiency in our home. He did a complete walk through and took his time to make sure that we covered every opportunity. He even recommended tips for us to create better seals around our windows. We had several contractors come to our apartment and they could not identify the source of noise (they suggested water pipes or other structures). John identified that it was actually the ductwork that was transmitting the sound from the roof of the building to our apartment and saved us a lot of money (the foam insulation would have been useless).We appreciate that he was the most honest soundproofing contractor , and we now finally have proof of the origin of the sound to take evidence to the building administration.

My landlord hired John to soundproof a 15X8 bedroom wall because our neighbors are loud at all hours of the night. John even suggested an additional service of injecting foam into our ceiling along the top of that wall because sound can travel over the wall and through the ceiling, He called it flanking. We liked his thorough approach, as he even used a thermal camera to check for the hot foam traveling through the wall. We definitely recommend him for any soundproofing work you need done in any multi unit building.
