I have been an employee here for about a year and a half. I can say that it feels good to be able to be proud of the work we do here. My prior paralegal jobs were in the collections field; pretty much as far from a satisfying work field as possible. Here, having the opportunity to represent something good, taking a position against the insurance companies, is significant. The harm that insurance companies are doing to our health care professionals is obscene. Without reform, the healthcare system is in trouble. However, until the politicians can get together and actually figure out a plan that will work long term- for the patients, doctors, and insurance companies, I am glad to be part of a firm that has a focus on the medical providers, who fall just as victim to the insurance companies as do the patients. As with individuals, physicians and other medical providers must have access to resources to fight back against the insurance companies to demand just payment. I know my teammates share the commitment and enthusiasm that allows this firm to be the best at what we do, both in fighting for healthcare provider rights, and beyond.
