This is one horrible Insurance company. My Corvette was totaled by one of AFLA customers and the resulting claim settlement was about 75% of the value that it should have been. There was no negotiation on their side, even after I provided evidence of underestimating. They are masters of not returning phone calls and emails. The adjusters have been trained to put the blame on somebody else. It took over 7 weeks to get the settlement. Also, their replacement rental vehicle program is a joke. I would steer clear of this Insurance company unless you have a good lawyer at your disposal.
Worst experience ever. After reading other reviews I am glad so many have complained. Hardly worth my time to post my review, but I noticed some liar at the most recent posts gave them 5 stars... Just trying to balance the universe. Been about a month since I was hit by one of their insured. They eventually sent an appraiser to come and de-value my totalled vehicle in every way possible so they could give me as little as possible for it. There are more details to turn your stomach, but I think enough has been said elsewhere. Unbelievably disgusting.
I work for a company where I have to call auto insurance companies daily about claims. Most of my calls take under 5 mins to call, wait on hold, get the info I need, and be done. However, I have called Alfa almost 1 once a week for 2 and half years and I have spoken to a rep maybe once. I stay on hold each time for over 15 minutes before I get fed up and just hang up. Not a single company from Geico to State Farm to Progressive and so on have ever made me wait on hold for 15+ minutes. I would give them a zero if I could.
A few months back I got rear ended by one of there clients! And to say it was the worst experience of my life would be an understatement. I was treated as if I was the one who had done something wrong. The claims adjuster that I had to deal with was very rude and would take forever to return my calls or get back with me. I think her name was Bethany. I hope I never have to deal with her or this company ever again, it was a nightmare!!!!
I am completely baffled at how this company is still in business. Sorriest, most pathetic customer service I have ever received. I am not a customer of theirs but I am in a line of work that forces me to deal with them from time to time. I HIGHLY suggest NO ONE purchase insurance from these folks. News flash people... insurance is just like any other product... you get what you pay for! I would give negative stars if I could!
A one star is still way more than this company deserves! If you are considering buying insurance through these people... RUN AWAY NOW! They have the absolute WORST claims staff, and god help you if you get a Ms. Gafton, just know up front... You will NEVER get an answer from these people! They will knit pick your policy to deny the claim, and take forever doing it! Please heed this warning: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!
Paid full coverage for 4 years. I Had full coverage when my truck was totaled in an accident. According to alfa insurance I did not have insurance for 10 minutes that day. I do not know how this is even logical. Stuck with amount owed on a newer truck. If you have a claim your only option will be to go to court and pay heavy lawyer fees. Horrible, horrible people.
This Insurance company absolutely suck. I have called my adjuster at least 30 times in the last 3 weeks. I have left so many messages and he has only responded once when he felt the need to. My car was hit almost a month ago and I still have yet to get it fixed. there is no communication being held between them and me. Its very unprofessional and annoying.
Have read many reviews concerning this company, Alfa Insurance Company, when your billing statement comes due at 12:01 AM, what can you expect of the company, as an Independent agent, I fired this company for every complaint that has been listed, there is an Insurance commissioner. File a compliant. 00000 Stars?
They are the absolute worst. The customer service is horrible, no one returns your calls and you get the run around and rude response when you do talk to someone. How can you treat people this way and stay in business. No good luck is going to come to them
I am having the same problem, but i am going to get me an Attorney on Tuesday because someone totaled my car and they want to pay it but they are not legal. If they dont do what Peter said I still have what was told on my phone Attorney here I come.
Hope you read the reviews before making your decision to work with this company. Rude customer service, slow, dishonest. Rarely do reviews but making sure to go out of my way to help other steer clear of this organization.
If you have to work with an Omar Lopez good luck getting anything done or getting in touch with the dude. So annoyed, personal opinion get a lawyer to deal with this company.
Raised my rate without notice went from 350 a month to 480! They forced me Into eft and would not refund the difference only had them 2 weeks. Would not recomend!
Customer service is virtually non-existent! Michael Shehane is a terrible claims manager .... He avoids calls and the company is a complete joke!
Had insurance with them 27 months. Got a 2015 car and was told it would be 212.00 a month. Found it cheaper for 77.oo a month. Go figure
if your luck you will get a call but if you call, they never answer. that is the company policy.
