If you are looking for an attorney in the Kansas/Missouri area, I highly recommend Joshua A Matthews. I hired him for my child custody case. He was the BEST lawyer I have ever worked with. He was extremely detailed and aggressive. If you are someone who is honest and truthful with him, he will get you what you want and deserve. i needed an attorney to represent me for a modification. the ex-wife attorney won the first divorce trial by working with my attorney Kelly Wulff and got her to work for the ex-wife. she never introduced my evidence. at this last trial Mr. Mathews was fast at correcting the ex- wife attorney with facts. Mr Mathews was a straight talker to me and he did his homework and won my case for me. out of all the attorneys in Missouri Mr Mathews is the best. his staff is very good and very helpfull.

Oh he seemed so smooth and attentive when I went in for my consultation so I fell for his act. I handed over that check and then I never heard from him after. I spoke only with secretary from then after. I showed up to court to find out that he had canceled my hearing but didnt let me know. He got nothing done in my case!!!! So finally 1 year later after nothing but struggle to show my case some attention it needed I had to hire a new attorney...with no refund I might add!!

Please trust these bad reviews they are telling you the truth I hired Mathews for a restraining order in Missouri and a custody case in Kansas. He did not show up to court for either case, always had a excuse and said he would call the judge. I lost $1800 for trusting this guy to help me get my son back.

Do NOT use! I have been switched lawyers 3 times in the past 2 years. All I needed to do was update a parenting plan which both parties agreed on and its still not closed. I cant open a new case until this one is resolved and they wont ever call me back to close it! It is SO FRUSTRATING. $2500 gone.
