PROCEED WITH CAUTION!!!! My husband and I bought a house last September. Starting in November the basement started to flood. We had several companies come out and try to give us a solution. We finally contacted Master Dry in April, they came out and gave us a quote. The original quote was $25k, we tweaked some things and brought it down to $15K (still A LOT OF MONEY). This past Friday they came from Knoxville to Johnson City and began work. My husband came home around 3:30 pm that afternoon and began looking around the basement. The new Jacks in the crawlspace looked great and they were finishing the drain system around the parameter of the basement. We have a retaining wall in the basement in the shape of an "L" that buts up next to the bed rock. While putting in the drain system the PROFESSIONALS at MASTER DRY jack hammered along the retaining wall creating a significant crack in the retaining wall. The retaining wall on the short "L" side is about 3/4 in off place. They are now stating they are not responsible in fixing the crack that THEY created. So, we get one problem fixed only to have another one to fix. We paid $15000 to have the job done correctly and for it to be satisfactory not half assed. Also, during the walk through we noticed they had pulled electrical cable down and just left them hanging. Ridiculous.

Master Dry did the crawlspace encapsulation over 6 yrs ago as we moved into our log cabin and we have been delighted ever since! The install and excavation needed by the team was arduous but was done well with all things picked up and the home smells fresh and clean with no mold growing anymore. It is also so nice when we have to go under the house for servicing other things that it is clean, lighted and comfortable. Curtis does our annual inspection and we are SO delighted with his expertise, professionalism and kindness that we ask personally for him each year. It speaks volumes that they keep many of the same staff. It is a major investment in your home but with severe mold allergies, we could not have purchased the home of our dreams without Master Dry and we have no issues with mold now. We would do it again in a heartbeat if we ever move and need the services. Thank you SO much for a great company and staff.

Wish to update my initial review made when I had crawl space work done by Master Dry back in May 2013 consisting of total encapsulation, sump pump, dehumidifier, perimeter drainage to sump pump, floor joist sistered. Master Dry personnel were professional and knowledgeable in their assessment of how to resolve our dampness problems. I have them back annually to inspect the system. I highly recommend them to anybody needing too eliminate a dampness problem in their home. The encapsulation system is a great idea even on new construction with or without a drainage problem.
