We have contacted the complaints department and finally got something done but still never got any return phone calls from the one assigned to review our claims. Being given a direct phone number to either talk to that person or leave a message and not getting a return phone call and being told "We are busy" by customer service is pretty poor customer service.The only reason they get one star is cause I had to pick at least one. There should be something for negative stars. Empower does not want to do anything to help us. The are the worst. get put on hold to transfer a call and get hung up on. This happens several time. We have two cars that needed to get fixed. It took several phone call and even talking to supervisors before getting a supervisor in litigations that helped, now she can not do anything for our second car. First told the supplement would done in 72 hours, then 3 to 5 business days, then 5 to seven business days and today was told there is no time frame. We call several times a day to supervisors direct lines that we have been given to get no one answering the phone call or returning phone calls. We get the lame excuse that we are swamped. So is every other insurance company but they are getting there claims finalized and not getting the run around, getting hung up on, getting excuse after excuse. Not only are both my wife and I calling so is the body shop that has had my car for over a week. They sure are quick to take your money but when it comes to getting them to pay out they are horrible.

I would not ever purchase a policy from this company. I run a auto body shop where a customer of mine brought their car in. It was a Empower claim and the first estimate was almost $2500 shy to repair the car like it should be done. I have went round and round with this company about the repair needed to be pre-accident condition, they would not pay to have a wiring harness replaced rather wanting me to repair it, In which I did and will not warranty the wiring repair as noted on the repair order. They asked for all my finale invoices to complete the supplement in which I have sent in. No one can tell me what the finale total should be until it has been approved. I have been dealing with this company on this one claim for 31 days now. When I do call all voice mails are full and or they do not call you back. To top off the best part is they wrote the first check to the customer direct and the customer has cashed the check and has abandon the car. I get two different replies to this (1) well you can file a lien on the car and sale it (2) the cust is responsible to pay, well when there is a lien holder on the car the check should be made into each parties name. I have my money tied up in the parts and repair and this insurance company could care less.. Go with a bigger name pay a little more and get your car in and out of a shop in like you are supposed to. Oh and I have filed a complaint with the Texas Insurance Commission.... Steer clear...

HISPANOS ATTENTION .. In December I had damage to my car and never wanted me to cover insurance. I keep hoping that meet me, I was asked earlier prueva For sure .. donot was supposed poreso not sure I bought the policy. They are pure excuses not to cover the damage. ..you is crap azeguranza fixed my car on my own but in three months I was with them I paid $ empower 960 in three full over. Money to throw in the trash. I left for ahorarme $ 14 progressive dollars a month and I got more expensive .. rregreso a progressive, an acquaintances had good experiences with them .. no scammers caygas with EMPOWER is a crappy company.

An insured driver for Empower backed up in to my vehicle and crashed it. I have a new 2015 Lexus. I called Empower and a young lady took down my details. Then the following morning, another young lady named Keila took down my info. Then the following morning an adjuster named Michael called me, and this employee was rude, disrespectful and aggressive. He called to tell me that he would come to my home and to wait for him. And that got me really upset. He wouldnt allow me to talk and he made sure to get his point across. And accused me of lying even though the 2 young ladies never asked me if i would like to a schedule a visit by an adjuster either to my home or my job to make it convenient for me. Instead, this Michael employee pulled up the recording with the previous young ladies and stated i shouldnt lie about the scheduling. And that set me off immensely and i cursed at him and he cut me off and then hung up. I called again and submitted a complaint with his direct superior. And i was advised that some other adjuster would be giving me a call soon.

worst insurance company in the world. I got hit by one of their insured and a claim which was supposed to take only three days to get fixed has now taken over 3 and a half weeks and still is not resolved. What is worse is that I have called, emailed and left voicemails and their representatives seem to ignore everything. I would never wish this insurance on anybody. My car is literally sitting at the body shop fixed but they cannot release the car to me because this stupid insurance group will not return calls from the body shop or release payment on it. It was their drivers fault and yet I have to go through all this aggravation to get my car fixed. I am contemplating litigation as a way to get my problem resolved in a more timely fashion because I am the one who has to take off work in order to get everything in order. They are literally doing nothing. I cant even imagine being insured by them, they would never pay out on any claim to their insured drivers. It is literally the worst insurance in the world.

This is the worst insurance group ever. They are rude, unprofessional, disorganized, and just overall incompetent as a whole. This company is ridiculous. I am ashamed to admit that I signed up with them because Nationwide was a little out of my price range at the time. I will never sacrifice quality service for saving a few bucks after this experience. I was involved with an accident that was my fault. Empower was my car insurance provider at the time. They were unavailable and dragged their feet throughout the entire process. My original claims adjustor quit mid-claim and instead of the company taking responsibility for the confusion she left behind they tried to act like it was my fault. I really could go on and on about how horrible they were, but I just want to get my point across, which is: do not sign up for insurance through this company. I will report my situation in full to the better business bureau soon and I hope they do some internal restructuring to get their act together.

HORRIFYING My vehicle was hit by an empower insurance customer 2 months ago. I have spent more time trying to get my car fixed than i do running 4 businesses. I have been lied to, hung up on, and treated horribly. worst customer service you will ever encounter. If you have to get insurance from this company know that you are with one of the worst companies on the planet. You would be better of with no insurance. The adjuster came out and told me that he was writing the claim on our 2013 cadillac xts for $4700 and some change. after weeks of calling we received $2295. The body shop faxed them a supplement on "suplement fax hotline" a week ago and have had no contact from empower insurance group. you will see a bs automated response to this asap, but that is the only response you will get. my wife has been without a vehicle for 2 months. I will be filing a complaint with Texas Department of Insurance as well as activating my attorney. This insurance company is a joke !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I originally wrote a review several weeks ago outlining my experience with Empower Ins. Although my displeasure was obvious, I would like to update the community on how the claim has continued to progress thus far. Of course a multitude of people behind the scenes may have been involved in the turn around, but the one person who I can personally recognize as being the impetus behind such a massive swing in my satisfaction level has been Alex Hewitt! He has been charged with the daunting task of formulating customer service solutions in instances like mine and I must say that he has exceeded my expectations in respects to correspondence and efficiency. Although my claim isn’t completely concluded, he has shown that his word to rectify and see my case thru until the end is reliable. The matter should be concluded in under 2 weeks and I will post a final review then.

Empower Insurance Group has been harassing us since June of 2014 by continuously sending bills and notices to the wrong address. We do not do business with the company, and the intended recipient does not live at our address. We have received several dozen letters and notices from the company since harassment began almost a year ago. I have called them 4 times in the process, and every time a representative has told us that the issue would be resolved; however, we continue to receive a letter or notice at least once every two weeks. This is not only irresponsible and incompetent, but it undermines my identity by continually associating my address with a delinquent insurance policy. After months of trying to unsuccessfully resolve their error through phone calls, a BBB complaint has been filed against business for harassment.

We are a large, major auto body repair shop in the DFW area and have reluctantly decided to no longer honor insurance claims from Empower. They used to be decent to deal with, but this is no longer the case. Empower insurance adjusters do not return phone calls, do not pay claims in a timely manner, do not write accurate repair estimates, and do not respond to supplemental repair requests, causing long delays and a bad business experience for ourselves and our customers. Response to response from Empower ... We still have two active jobs in the shop from your company and do not wish to post this information until we finally get the repairs completed and get paid by Empower. The customers are not aware of the source of this post and have complained to us about the same experiences. Long delays, no call backs, disconnects.

Avoid this company at all costs.Set up coverage with this company to debit my monthly payment from my checking account on the 10th of the month.The first month they try to debit my account on the ninth before I could deposit money in the account to cover the charge.Then they try to raise my rates because they now say Im late on my payment and charge me late fees also.If they had charged the account when they were supposed to their wouldnt have been a problem.Then when I cancel them four days later they send me a final payment due for 15 days of coverage when they should have only charged me for 4 days.They threaten me with reporting to the credit companies to try and get me to pay overages on their coverage.This company is about as crooked as an insurance company can be,avoid at all costs.

I had Empower Insurance for one term. I went online to see if I could get a better rate with them and it turned out that I could, so I was filling out all the new information which was only my address and found out that my payment would not go through. I called (and was transferred and put on hold for over an hour) and was told that they could not tell me why I could not have them as their insurance provider and that it was definitely not because of an address change. So I asked to speak to the supervisor and he told me to take my business elsewhere. While on the phone with them I put my old address in the system and was able to make the payment. So, they are oblivious to how their own system works and would rather suggest I go to another insurance company than try and solve the problem
