It takes a very bad situation for me to take the time to write a negative review about a company. I feel I need to share with others so that you can avoid the mistake of hiring Paychex for your payroll needs. If I could give a zero star rating for this company, it would still be too high. As a small business, with a very small payroll, it is baffling how this company manages to make constant, costly mistakes. The only thing that Paychex is consistent with is errors. Whether it be basic data entry mistakes due to a lack of detail, issuing checks to our employees for incorrect amounts and having to void and re-issue checks multiple times, the frustration of never being able to contact a knowledgable and competent person to speak with, losing our payroll packages, not delivering checks on time, mis-caluculating taxes and fees forcing us to get hit with multiple, large penalties, yanking twice the money required for payroll directly out of our bank account without refunding back for months and having to deal with numerous account mangers so from one week to the next not knowing who you will be assigned to, nickel and diming you with surprise fees and the constant spamming from their sales people through email and phone calls trying to sell additional services when they are not able to even fulfill thier current service requirements, this company is just a plain disaster. I can not stress enough how frustrating our experience has been over the last two years with Paychex. Shame on us for not transferring our account sooner. We have chosen to go with a company called Avitus Group. I would advise anyone thinking of hiring Paychex to look elsewhere and run as fast as you can from this company.

I have used Paychex payroll services for about 10 years. I have always thought the service was mediocre at best and well over-priced for what they provide. After receiving an enormouse bill, and filing a complaint with my account rep. Michelle Borolov, she has yet to respond with an accounting of why my charges are so high in comparison to my average monthly bill. They have access to my account unfortunately and do and charge whatever they see fit and there is nothing you can do about it. In summary, the service is poor, the price is high, and I recommend you take your business somewhere else like I am going to do.

Paychex has been nothing short of a disappointment. I would highly recommend not utilizing their services. First, your payroll person keeps changing. Then, they have missed my payroll three times now. Always an excuse. My current payroll has not been processed for the 15th of October. Just recently my emails to them go answered for days. At the end of this year, I will make a switch to a new payroll provider.

Keeps spamming me trying to sign me up for their services. I am not a business and even though I tell them to stop spamming me they continue. Would never do business with a company I have no need for since I AM NOT a business. Also, this tells me something about a company. A legitimate company would not treat potential customers this way.

Worst service ever. I have had five or six different people handle my account. They screwed up one of my employees withholdings last year so bad that he had a $6,000 tax liability. You also cannot get anyone on the phone because their voicemails say they are out of the office. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.

The lack of consistency, professionalism, and genuine concern by this company, its employees and managers is very noticeable. We stopped using them after enough errors had occurred in less than a year to warrant cancellation of our services and we will not be going back.

Is there anyway to give 0 stars?? This is the most unorganized company I have ever worked with as a business owner. Working with them has cost me thousands of dollars. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY for payroll or retirement services!!!!!!
