If I could give a lower rating I would. I understand large companies do not have to give good customer service but, even with Comcast, Verizon, or others once in a while you may luck into some good service. I sincerely believe that Carefirst hires only people who got fired at other places for incompetence. No one can tell you anything, you go through multiple computer systems before even getting a human, and if you need to add someone to your plan then forget about it. I am counting the days until the next open enrollment and then I AM GONE!

Ridiculously useless. Paid 2 claims on 12/2/14 and 12/19/14. On 5/29/15 they decided they were not covered. No notification of termination of coverage--ever. Kept sending new medical cards well into February 2015. Refuse to help in anyway to mitigate charges from deciding 6 months later to renege on payment. Unbelievable that insurance companies are allowed to act in this manner and never take ANY responsibility for their own screw ups.

Thanks for the 74% increase on my group health plan. I was able to pay 100% of the premium for my employees but now that is not possible. It is crazy that this is a not-for-profit health care organization. Now I will have to pay $1800 /month for a family and $800 / month for an individual with a $1200 deductible that we meet in the 11th month.
