I had been arrested for a D.U.I. and two other tickets. I contacted several attorneys via internet and Mr. Phillips personally called me back within about 30 minutes which immediately impressed me. I assumed that a paralegal or associate would be doing the initial call, so this was a pleasant surprise. This was my very first time encountering any sort of D.U.I. charge, so I had no idea what I was doing and I was very frightened. Mr. Phillips was very friendly, down to earth, and consoling over the phone. Not only was he the was the first attorney I spoke with, but he also assured me that he could help me and would be determined to get the best results possible for me. Mr. Phillips was able to get the charges drastically reduced. He was able to get my D.U.I. reduced to wreckless driving and my other two tickets dismissed. He was also able to get the judge to agree that after I was finished with probation, fines, et cetera, to withhold the charge from my record and called me after court to let me know that he would do the paperwork to have this done AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE! Mr. Phillips is knowledgeable, professional, attentive to any requests, got the outcome I wanted (but thought was unachievable), and truly seems to care about what is legally right and wrong. He kept me informed and was ALWAYS available to speak with me about any questions or concerns I had regarding my case. If you are looking for ideal representation, then James Phillips is the attorney for you. I will highly recommend him to all of my friends and family in the future. He is outstanding.

From the very moment I called and spoke with James Phillips, he made me feel very comfortable about leaving my future in his hands. I have never been in trouble with the law, and was facing criminal and civil charges based on a improper investigation. The fees that Katz & Phillips charged were very reasonable, and given the amount of work that my attorney, James Phillips and his team did, it was well worth every cent. Every time I called the office to get an update, the entire team was very helpful and empathetic to my worries and concerns. They always treated me with the utmost respect and sought to get answers quickly for all of my questions. Another benefit to using Katz & Phillips was that they use a very informational based system called MyCase, where I could log-in to see the status on my case, as well as documents and upcoming dates for any events pertaining to my case. All-in-all, James Phillips got all of my charges dropped and I can now return to my life as it was before this incident! I have to say i have never hired a private attorney before. I always used a public defender. Well i was facing my 3rd felony, and felt prison was my future. I hired james, and the best quality i liked about him, is he tells you how it is. He doesnt sugar coat anything. He said it would be a uphill battle,but i listened to all his advice on what he wanted me to do. He took care of my appestances in court so i didnt have to sit and worry all day at the courthouse. Well against all the odds of everything, he got me probation instead of any jail time. I am home with my children. I would like to say to anyone thinking of hiring a attorney, yes its somewhat expensive, and times are hard. But your life, freedom is priceless. I am so happy i choose Mr. Phillips to defend me. Prior to choosing Katz and Phillips as the attorney to represent me for my DUI case I called 8-10 other attorneys. James Phillips took his time on the phone to explain everything to me while most of the other attorneys seemed like used car salesmen making pitches. I honestly felt like he cared and after meeting him in person it solidified my decision on choosing him. He took me step by step through the process and this lifted much of the stress and uncertainty off my shoulders. I was able to sleep at night and continue my daily routines. I honestly forgot I had the arrest for days at a time. I knew he would look out for my best interest... and he did. In the end, as bad as the police report made me look, he got my DUI down to reckless driving, even getting it expunged off my record. And even after I paid him in full he continued to work hard on my case (and is still giving me advice to this day). Choosing Katz and Phillips was by far the best decision I have ever made. Judy - Nov 30, 2011 I was involved in a domestic violence with a gun situation. This was my only experience with law enforcement and I was scared to death. I contacted James Phillips on a Saturday morning and he drove to my location and met with me within 2 hours. James listened to me and gave me hope that I would be able to return to my home and family. James was able to move my hearing date up substantially and I was able to return home and be with my family for Thanksgiving. He was then able to get the case dismissed. This was a very serious charge that was the result of a terrible misunderstanding that could have ruined my life. Fortunately, I chose James Phillips and he did not let that happen. I am so thankful for everything that this law firm has handled my driving under the influence case which i recieved a reckless driving related to alcohol this firm can set you at ease in these dark hours that you thought you would never see the light. I hired James Phillips for my 2nd DUI and 1st felony case. He worked very hard through the entire process. He also kept me informed throughout the whole process and all I received was good news! My DUI was dropped to a reckless driving, no jail time, and he kept my license from being revoked for 5 years. He also accomplished dismissal of all tickets and got my felony case dropped!
