What we bought: approximately 800 square feet of Distressed Mocha Fossilized bamboo flooring and an equal amount of cork underlayment. Where we put it: great room and kitchen with open-floor plan, two hallways, and an office adjacent to the kitchen Overall Review: We have animals, a young son, and plan to stay in the house for a while, so we wanted something durable yet beautiful and classic. My husband discovered Cali Bamboo on the web while searching for flooring, and we were a little suspicious at first because no prices were listed, but we loved their products, and submitted an online inquiry. Within less than 24 hours, I was on the phone with Andrew, who is one of the most informative, kind, and honest salespeople I’ve ever dealt with. After speaking with Andrew, we immediately decided to commit to buying our floors from Cali Bamboo even though we did not feel any pressure to buy anything nor any pressure to keep our order should we have changed our minds. When we ordered, we had a few months before installation, so we were able to provide a down payment but to hold off shipment. In the meantime, we spoke with Andrew regularly to make sure we had ordered the correct amount and to ask various questions that came up as we moved closer to installation time. I can’t express enough how helpful it was to deal with one person and to feel as though we could contact him anytime with any questions. There was never any delay in his response, and we always felt as though our questions were answered sufficiently and effectively. Quality and process: The flooring is absolutely beautiful. We are so pleased with the distressed mocha. There is such an amazing color variation in the pieces that everything goes with it. The flooring is also very durable and has already sustained a few hard knocks with installation, but it does not damage easily. Because of its durability, the flooring is quite heavy and quite a job to unpack and set up for installation, but that is to be expected. We had very few pieces that were unusable. In fact, I think only one or two pieces were splintered a bit, so overall, we were able to use every bit of what we ordered despite the shipping process and just how heavy the wood is. We were also successful not wasting much when cutting pieces to fit. In our installation process, we encountered a few issues that are not reflective of the flooring itself, but I thought it might help to mention for self-installers: the flooring we ordered was so thick that we had to shave the bottoms of all of our door frames and doors, which made the installation process take much longer. If you are replacing carpet or laminate, cut out a piece near your door frames and measure the new flooring and underlayment to make sure the flooring fits underneath. If you can do some of this work ahead of time, you will save time when you actually begin installing. We used an oscillating multi-tool for this task, and it made the cutting much easier. We also had to adjust the height of our appliances for the same reason. We wanted thick flooring, and we got it! :) The cork underlayment is relatively thick and is not easy to cut, so make sure to get a good supply of utility blades and change them out frequently. This will make the cutting much easier. We also realized that it’s best to only put one or two rows of underlayment at a time. This may be obvious to experienced installers, but we didn’t realize how easily the underlayment could get torn up or moved around if we put more than two pieces together until we had made the mistake twice. You may also want to get more underlayment than you think you’ll need because you end up having to waste some of it when cutting it to fit. Overall, everything about the purchasing experience, the quality of the flooring, and the style of the flooring was top-notch and beyond our expectations. We are so very pleased we decided to go with Cali Bamboo, and we have received so many compliments on our flooring. It’s been a wonderful experience!

I found Cali Bamboo with an internet search for bamboo flooring...and I am so glad I did! My husband and I have been so pleased with the quality of the flooring we ordered and they look absolutely beautiful installed (which we did ourselves...it was that easy!). Our experience started with a request for samples so we could see what the flooring looked like just before the Memorial Day weekend. We got a call from customer service wanting to know if we wanted to expedite the shipment of the sample so we could get them before the holiday and offered to refund that amount if we decided to purchase. We received our samples the next day and were so impressed with the quality of the material (9/16" think and very hard) that we called right away to provide our measurements and get an estimate. Customer service quickly provided a very reasonable estimate for the materials we would need and I told her that I would need to discuss with my husband before we made a decision. That discussion took less than a minute and I was back on the phone placing our order! We received the order about 10 days later let the bamboo acclimatize for over two weeks while we prepared the concrete for the recommended 531+ moisture barrier. Once the moisture barrier was applied we put down the Quiet ComfortPlus Sound Control & Underlayment. Following that we put down the Click Lock Flooring in Distressed Java Fossilized Wide Click. Although I am somewhat of a DIYer, I found this product extremely easy to work with. I did have to use a hammer and block to get some of them to fit tightly and “click”, it was not a difficult task and the results are absolutely amazing. I feel very good about using a “green” product and I expect it will outlast the both of us. It looks fantastic and is extremely easy to care for. I highly recommend this company for both their excellent product and their customer service.

As a professional craftsman and an architectural design college student, I am always searching for great materials to work with during my projects. One project of which I sought out a sustainable and beautiful material to work with, which of course brought me to Cali Bamboo from friends recommendations. I can honestly say the plywood more than met my needs for the bar project. The bamboo provides an excellent hard material and finishes off very nice. I must say it is not the easiest material to work with but with patience and proper tools it is worth the while. I used the cali bamboo ply scraps to try to do some cnc and laser work. The bamboo with the laser works excellent at 1/4 inch but is difficult with anything thicker after because of the density and adhesives used to produce it. The cnc took many tests to fine tune the cutting paths I wanted to create. I dont think it is very good for 3 dimensional work due to the nature of the ply, but does cut quite nicely with proper bits and setting for 2 dimensional designs. I do also want to mention that using Titebond III for the bar project proved that the wood grain holds extremely well and is incredibly strong. I would recommend using biscuit joints and a premium glue for furniture and show of the edge grain of the bamboo. It is beautiful and everyone loves and compliments my work with it. Not only is it a very nice material it is also sustainable which is fantastic. However, it does come with a price tag and is substantially more expensive than your standard plywood but also closely comparable with other hardwood sheets. They deliver very quickly and have great customer service. I will continue to use Cali Bamboo for all my bamboo needs.

I am very pleased with the eucalyptus floor we had ordered. Customer service was very good and delivery was fast. I had originally planned on putting the floor down myself, but life got in the way and there was no way I would have the time to do so. I did take the time to get it all laid out to acclimate while I found a contractor to lay the floor. Both the contractor and myself were surprised at the weight and strength of the material. We put the new floor in 3 rooms of our house and I can say upon completion it gave the house a whole new look, that we love! I have a 7 year old son and a 55 lb dog and up to this point scratches have not been an issue. To this point I would have no issue with recommending the Cali Bamboo product because of the strength, durability, and ease of install. I did read some reviews that people had issues with shrinkage and or the floor buckling after a few months. With these reviews in mind and very clear install instructions from Cali Bamboo with the floor, I was very strict in following them to get the best results. I will write another review in a few months to give an update on my experience. 8/17/2017

We researched the internet for the best Bamboo flooring and Cali Bamboo was in the top two. So we started looking for some samples we liked and then gave you a call. Jimmy was our contact throughout our project. He put together a sample package and sent it to us right away. This was very helpful when making our final choice for flooring. We chose the Boardwalk Fosilized Bamboo. It had a nice balance of grey and brown earth tones. We then placed our order for 953sq feet of flooring to do our living room, foyer, dining room, office and bedroom hallways. Jimmy helped us a bit on the cost since we were ordering so much. That was very much appreciated. We ended up having a professional installer come and install the flooring for us. The end result is absolutely stunning! The quality of the Bamboo flooring and the color complimented our home perfectly. The floors before were just there but now the floors are the star of the show. Completely changed the look of our home. We absolutely love it! Thank you Jimmy and Cali Bamboo for making a quality product, providing excellent service and for adding a ton more value to our home.

My husband and I are in the middle of a basement remodel project and we decided to look at Bamboo as a possible flooring material. We ended up ordering some samples from Cali Bamboo. The samples were only $1each! They arrived quickly and were a good size allowing us to get a good sense of the color and the quality. It was beyond our expectations and we decided to place an order for our entire basement. I requested an estimated and was contacted by a very nice man named Andrew DeGregorio. Both my husband I had conversations over the phone with Andrew and he was very friendly, knowledgable and helpful! I brought the samples I had ordered to work with me to show my co-workers. They were all taken aback by the thickness and durability of these bamboo flooring samples. I guess there are a lot of different varieties of bamboo floors and we just happened upon high quality ones. I highly recommend Cali Bamboo. First class company with first class customer service.

We love our Cali Bamboo fence. The bamboo is so much better to look at than just about any other fences we have seen. The fence was put up due to a property, easement issue with a neighbor. After we found that he would rather us remove our rose plant, than to sell us an easemnt, we felt that we needed to go ahead define our space. After we installed the panels and completed it the last day, our neighbor came home and did a triple take--looking at our fence. He went out of his way to tell us that the fence looks real good. We want to create a tropical or Zen style outdoor "staycation" backyard. The bamboo provides a very beautiful backdrop for all kinds of plants, flowers, fountains and other decortive elements in the landscape. We are in the planning stages of a master bath remodel, and we really want to include bamboo paneling or slats in the bath, maybe a ceiling? Cali Bamboo has a great selection of products. And all of their employees are "top notch" !!!

My wife and I spent several weeks picking flooring out and finally found click lock Mocha Eucalyptus, after several weeks waiting and then having it stacked in our house acclimating for two weeks it was finally installed and it was beautiful. Here is the bad, we have 4 boards that are rippling at the ends where they connect to other boards and their customer service is horrid. its been almost two months and there solution is they will send out replacement pieces. Now I have three flooring contractors and my main contractor looking at my floor saying it is not possible to cut through their boards, then pull them out and put new ones in there place without destroying multiple boards. Although we love the flooring we are beginning to hate the people who sit at their desks and think you can do something that contractors with over thirty years in the business say cannot be done without destroying things Sincerely, Tim Gentry
