Mark Owens

I had called a Home Depot provider to inspect my system. They told me that it was a high temp relay at the condenser and quoted me a fix for $500 (in addition to the $70 service call). They also refused to give me an itemized list of the charges. Claimed to be a Trane authorized contractor. They left me without AC for a week and ordered the wrong part. They told me I would have to wait another week for the repair. I must also point out that they initially led me to believe that the part would be in and fixed the next day. I found the first contractor to be highly dishonest and opportunistic. I then called Air Plus. They came out in less than 24 hours and determined that a rodent had chewed through the line. Less than an hour and $135 and one hour and the system was fixed. The service repair man was Ed, active Navy reservist, and an honest, awesome human being (thanks again Ed for your service to this country.) Rhonda was also a pleasant find, and kept her word and maintained communication before and after the service visit. Thanks so much Rhonda. Air Plus is to be commended for hiring the very best. I cannot say enough good things about Air Plus. Kim in the office was incredibly helpful and easy to work with, and Jim did an amazing job on our system. We had some major problems with our heating system, including the fact that we were getting no heat in the bottom level of our house. We had at least 5 companies come out and give us quotes, and we got a huge range of ideas, from just closing some of the vents upstairs (that company clearly had no idea) to a solution of over $30,000 to overhaul the entire system. The solution provided by Air Plus was the most comprehensive, involved the most work, and came in about $10,000 less than our highest quote. We are so grateful that we found them, and we are now very warm and cozy in our house! In addition, we also got a new high-end air conditioning unit, included for less than their competitors wanted to charge to just fix the heat. They also use Trane products, which are well know to be the best quality, and we are extremely happy with the equipment, the workmanship, and the cost.

Contacted Kim on 10/29/13 about obtaining new Trane furnace. By happenstance, installer was handy nearby and came out to give estimate. Options were presented on what furnaces could be installed; we considered how they would fit and selected the unit that would work in the existing space. Accepted estimate and Jim came out next day and began installing. Old furnace removed. Old insulation removed. Existing ducting was re-wrapped with bubble wrap insulation. New Trane furnace installed and new matching ductwork installed. Work was swift, neat, and professional. Trane went in clean and the hookup was completed in just five hours. All the leftovers cleaned up and disposed of. All the work was professional, courteous, and on time. The furnace sequence of operations was explained to me so I could determine any failures in the future; handy for a DIYer. At my request, Jim provided a copy of the service manual for my future reference. Highly recommended. Five stars.

Mark came and diagnosed the problem with my compressor which stopped running. There was a loose connection on the circuit board and that the freon needs ltopping of just 2 lbs. My unit is about 30 years old, and Mark told me that the unit (Day & Night) is still in good working condition, and there is no need for repair. We will have a cool A/C and be ready for the summer days. The honestly of this company is what I value the most. The technician could have said that I need a new compressor which is believable considering the age of the unit or they could say that the freon is completely empty. You can be sure that they only replace (if any) the parts IF it needs replacing and not scaring customers for unnecessary expenses. BTW, Mark is very professional in his work, friendly and has great personality. Air Plus should get higher than a 5 star rating. Thanks Mark and Kim. A very happy customer.

I cant say enough good things about Air Plus heating and Air. They recently installed a ductless multi zone unit in my place in Mission Beach. Jim was very thorough in evaluating what I was looking to achieve and really spent the time doing a thorough walk through on the initial consultation. This in addition to his knowledge and overall friendly nature is really what convinced me they were the right company for the job. The installation and setup was top notch and now keeps my second story older unit, with minimal insulation very cool even with the windows open I would recommend Air Plus for any heating & cooling needs as this company displays the upmost professionalism, which is very important to me when i am opening up my home to someone.
